I have never worn a more perfect piece of clothing. I never imagined wearing long sleeves in hot weather while hiking. Hypothyroidism causes me to sweat profusely and embarrassement. After researching sun hoodies, I found the Crater Lake hoody. It was on sale, I bought it, wore it while hiking, it changed my experience... so I ordered two more!! Backpacked in Kentucky recently and the hoodies were a win for me. The material is thin and light, breathable. I purchased this used a few years ago and it has become a staple for hiking, camping, travel, and festivals. After the first year I cut the drawstring and tied it in a knot, much better and more practical. The light blue color stains easy. Sometimes this shirt stinks to high heaven after short use, other times I can wear it for days without stank. Washes easy and dries quickly. UPF continues to work after many years of regular use and washing, it provides protection from the sun and mild wind. It's so soft against bare skin and comfortable to sleep in. I use as a base layer, except when I use to layer over tank top when it's hot, or wool hoodie when it's cold. The pocket and zipper is great. No complaints.

I have the patina green in medium size. I go on day hikes at least twice weekly and have this shirt keeps me as comfortable as possible even in 30° Celsius weather. This shirt stays dry as I sweat during my hike. If the weather starts to cool it is easy to put a fleece layer over this one. Lastly, I do n't put this in the dryer after washing as it can become completely dry in an less than an hour in my house where the A/C temperature is set to 20° Celsius. Overall I really like it and I will get a second pair to use when I do the Salkantay Trail in the near future.

Got this to replace a 25+ year old Nike ACG baselayer that is still wearable. I bought this for it's slick and soft material, color( I love brighter colored base layers) raglan shoulder sleeves and OR's size/fit. This is actually my first OR top I 've ever purchased and I am so happy that the fit is perfect in the body/torso and sleeve length. These are by far my favorite synthetic hiking shirts. So lightweight and breathable, beautiful colors, perfect fit, super comfortable, dries fast and wicks sweat. The raglan sleeves mean no seams for backpack straps to rub and cause irritation. A slightly higher UPF rating would be nice, but would also make the fabric heavier, so I understand the trade- off there. The smooth texture works well when layering too.

I have the Abisko wool shirt in the long and short sleeve models. When I had a bad fall in Argentina and broke my arm, I had on the long sleeve version. The arm was badly damaged, but the shirt still looks great. I look forward to wearing it when I get my arm out of the cast. + Color is super pretty+ material is really lightweight, good for long days in the sun and stretchy enough for climbing. +/- For me the length is good, hits in a flattering spot above my hip bones, unless I 'm wearing a harness or even with backpack or bouldering pads strapped around my waist, in which it becomes kinda annoying because it's a bit short and rides up, and gets all bunchy. I work for the Depart of Food& Ag and spend most of my day in the field surveying& inspecting insect traps. This shirt with the extra pockets near the waste is amazing. Easy click buttons are nice, BUT, they have unspaped a few times if the shirt gets caught on something. I suppose I would rather have the shirt buttons un- latch than have the shirt itself tear. The Freewheel Short Sleeve Jersey is more like a daily driver shirt over a traditional jersey. You can wear it daily for day to day tasks then hit the trail after work. The material is similar to other Outdoor Research shirts in the 2024 clothing catalog. I took the shirt for weekly rides on local trail heads in MD in spring and on the Santos Trails in FL on a work trip. The stretch is nice when you catch a sticker bush and length is nice if you have a long torso. The only con in my opinion is that a bring color would be nice for hunting seasons. I currently have the blue shirt and it looks good.

Great shirts! Could always use more solid colours! But one question to the designers…why the odd choice of slanting the fabric orientation on the left front shoulder/chest? It really keeps the piece as an outdoor garment and limits the wearability in a travel/city situation.

Great shirt. I 've with our 2. I have a Med and a Large and both fit week( 510/180). Ca n't say enough good about this shirt. Classy, protective, form fitting. I hunt, fish, shoot prs matches, do yard work, and eat dinner out in this thing. I live in AZ and sun protection is a must. Everyone 2- 3 of these. I 've used them heavily for 3 years and they are just starting to look worn. That's pretty fair, other shirts do n't get that far.

I wore this same shirt every day for over a month on a backpacking trip, and it was solid the entire time. I love the fabric, and the fact that it has snap buttons is awesome. The ventilation is great, and it keeps me from getting sunburnt. It dries in less than ten minutes in the sun and does a good job of odor management.

I just received this shirt. I ordered it to replace an older model of the same shirt, that I have had for 4 or 5 years. It is perfect for biking, hiking, pilgrimages, travel and around town. The old shirt held up great but is starting to show it ’s age. Sadly this new shirt has buttons replacing the snaps- but the fabric, fit and versatility make it the best shirt ever!

I love this shirt. I 'm 5' 9 '', 32D, ~145lbs, and I wear the small. It's classy enough to wear to work in my office; lightweight and cool enough to wear on trail. I like that it stretches, I like the buttons( I 'm not into snaps, too many wardrobe malfunctions), I like that it reaches my wrists( I have a 5' 7 '' wingspan), and I like that I feel good wearing it. The only thing that gets me is that the men's version has lots of color options and the women's is very limited. Maybe a nice sage green? Brick? Light blue? Dark pink? I 'll be checking the website

My new favorite top for cool spring mornings or roll up the sleeves for hot afternoons. I have gotten so many compliments too from strangers. I purchased the white titanium one with the nifty pattern. I was worried about the buttons but I just leave the cuffs unbuttoned so it is easy to roll them up when in a hurry. It still smells good after quite a few days of sweating. Comfy loose fit!

I got this because I was looking for a lightweight long sleeve outdoor button up. This did not disappoint! It's so smooth, and cooling against your skin, and very lightweight! The fabric is really high quality and I find very flattering for my shape. Also, it's really a nice shirt so you can wear it indoors for other occasions. I have n't used it in super sunny weather yet so I ca n't attest to its UPF rating but I 'm looking forward to trying it!

I love this shirt. I needed a good sun shirt for my days spent hiking, camping, and trips to the beach. It's extremely lightweight and comfortable. It fits very true to size and just feels like a very good quality shirt. I love this!
