She liked the length of the jacket, the fact there were two outside pockets on each side( zippered and snapped) and a surprise inside zippered pocket, which proved useful for quick storage of little things when her hands were full. She did n't want to take a puffy jacket, even though the weather was expected to be cold for the whole trip. She planned on just layering underneath the jacket. I needed a lightweight rain jacket that was also easy to carry when not wearing. This jacket is perfect though it does run a tad big. Normally a large fits me sometimes even a medium but this jacket in a large is a bit oversized. Still very satisfied with its lightweight feel and packability.

It adds just enough warmth over a base layer to reduce the bite of morning chill. The fabric is crazy stretchy and soft, and while I have n't been rough on this one, my insulated Kor Strata is a ski layer I have hammered all season with no issue. This thing is crazy packable too so it makes it easy to shove into a pocket or my lumbar pack.

I have a paunchy `` dad bod '', so I had to go up one size for midriff room. You wo n't have to, though. I do n't know what dark wizard lord Cotopaxi made a deal with to find this space material, but it is the softest thing I 've ever had on my body, and I 've had literal baby faces on my body before. It's so comfortable I want to wear it even when it's crazy hot outside, and unsurprisingly it's cool and cozy even then. This jacket is great, it reminds me of the older version of this called the Paray but this one is a little more stretchy, the sleeves were a little baggy and longer than normal so I went down to a medium. The snap button is awesome for arm mobility for tennis and venting.

This exceeded expectations. It's a well made, comfortable, great looking jacket on its own but the heating element takes it to another level. It does get hot on the highest setting but it feels so good especially around the neck area. I highly recommend it. I also bought my wife the lady's version and she loves hers too.

Cotton, not really waxed. Contrast of tobacco matte and dark corduroy color is beautiful. Lining is the best color and goes with so much of the wine berry fall colors. It ’s casual, but looks elegant with some structure and collar, and button only- no zipper. My favorite feature is the pockets. They ’ re stylish but also has hand warmer pockets. I tried on SO MANY coats including Barbour before somewhat halfheartedly ordering this. I liked it so much I couldn ’ t return it! I wear ir all the time from work to weekend with sneakers to brown suede boots. All that said, it ’s not the most versatile, it ’s a two season coat where I live- early fall mid spring temps in dry weather. For the price one can get a capable coat.
