It is current 1 F with an- 18 F windchill. I needed to clear a couple of inches of snow from a driveway. These gloves kept my hands and FINGERS warm the 45 minutes I was outside. That ’s remarkable because my fingers always get painfully cold in such temps. The smart design of keeping the index finger free while wrapping the other 3 fingers in a mitten like pocket is brilliant! The gloves also feature a zipper pocket on the back of each hand, a wristband so the gloves can dangle if you need to take them off to pull something out of a pocket, take a photo, etc. Of course, they also feature a clip to keep them together when storing them. I was so impressed with them that I went out and got my partner a pair today as well. The price point is reasonable too- especially for a Gortex product.

[ For starters, Hestra ’s size selection allows for a more precise fit. Any 3 finger model is a slight compromise over a mitt for warmth, but you can always bring your index finger in as needed. They are reasonably warm, though not expedition gloves, and I expect to throw in warmers for temps in the low single digits( F), or below. The wrist/cuff adjustments function well. The soft leather makes for a very supple feel and were fairly nimble when tinkering with gear. The wrist strap/handcuffs were overkill for me and swapped with a traditional straps. Have n't owned long enough to attest to the durablity.

Used these gloves for 1 day between 14 and 28 deg F with windgusts and snow machines on making icy and windy conditions for a much lower feels like temp. First off, the GoreTex in these gloves holds up to its reputation, the ice/snow from the snow machines stuck to everything and ev eventually would melt but my gloves on the inside didnt feel wet at all even once. Wore these without the liner and they are comfortable, but not that warm. My hands were cold but not super uncomfortably cold by lunch without the liner in. Put the liner in after going back out and it made a world of difference. My hands stayed warm the rest of the day even after the sun went down and temperature dropped significantly. After a full day of use on the slopes carrying ski poles most of the time, there is no sign of any use on these gloves and i am hopeful they keep holding up for me. They were fairly expensive at full price, but seem to be worth it so far.

This product deserves 5 stars due to its overall ability to provide heat for so long and how compact batteries are in the gloves. Now the only downside is that the batteries require 3- 7hrs of time to charge fully when depleted which means needing to charge them at night or you 'll be out of luck.

I have Reynaud ’s and can never keep my hands warm. These mittens aren ’ t perfect, I still get cold fingers, but they are the best I ’ ve had in a very long time. The inner mittens are great on their own. I use them primarily for running, but they would be great for skiing and other winter activities. I liked them so much I bought a second pair. They ’ re big and a bit bulky, but they ’ re warm, well made. I have been wearing the inner mittens in warmer temps using trekking poles. I haven ’ t used them enough to know how well they will stand up to this use.

The mittens performed well above what I had expected. they are 100% wind proof and never let any moisture in. The most extreme weather I used them in was snowshoeing in- 25- 28 °F with a good 10- 15 mph wind. The mittens were so warm that at times I had to remove them so my hands could cool off. My hands always go numb from the cold below 15 degrees. I ’ ve tried top tier mittens and wool liners to no avail. With these mittens I skied all day at 10 degrees and two breaks and kept my hands warm. I used medium and low settings most of the time and still had half the battery left at the end of the day. My new gloves aren ’ t bulky like ALL of my gloves throughout my life have been; I am seriously now experiencing what the term “ fits like a glove ” means. The Patrol gloves feel like a toned down version of the Guide gloves that I 've used extensively. The biggest difference is the shorter gauntlet and the insulation only covering the palm, where the insulated inner runs down over the wrist into the gauntlet on the Guides. Because of those differences the mobility is a bit better with the Patrol, they 're a less bulky/more packable and are n't quite as warm as the Guides.

Absolutely love these gloves for mahy reasons. Firstly, the glove has an amazing fit. While it is easy to get on with the straps to help it is a snug fit that allows me to manouever very well with them. Additionally, the gloves are not so big and padded that I ca n't do much with my hands, however, they still keep my hands warm. My only complaint would be that it is really difficult to use my phone despite the fingertip specifically meant for using the phone. Would highly recommend these gloves.

These gloves are a pair of the best gloves I 've worn, and I 've gone through a lot of gloves over the years. What stood out to me are two things; warmth and dryness. While hiking or training with search and rescue( volunteer) I often have my gloves on and off for tasks as well as taking pictures during hikes, what strikes me with these is that they feel dry and warm every time I put them back on after the task or picture!

I like this glove for winter hiking, snowshoeing, and even XC ski in cold weather... basically anything with active athletic energy level. Not warm enough for standing around ice- fishing in New England. They are very durable and well- made. [ I got these especially for long winter walks with my dog. They are keeping my hands comfortable down to about 20F for an hour. I ordered them a size up( the largest, 11) so I can add another thin wool glove liner and that's pretty good down to 10F. The leather is soft, molding to my hand, showing some wear after a few weeks, so I hope it holds up over time.

I recently used these gloves on two different 11- 12 hour hikes in chilly conditions. Temps were minus 12 F with wind chill at minus 20 to minus 30 F. These kept my hands warm from start to finish. This is my 3rd pair of this model, going back many years. I agree with the other review that it has been downsized; previously I wore a size L and had plenty of room; now I wear a size XL and it's not as roomy as my older ones, but still adequate. I 'm giving it a 5 star review because of its simplicity and the excellent wind blocking. Most gloves are too tight at the wrist, which reduces circulation and makes taking them on/off difficult. The straight cuff on these is perfect, and they 're easy to get on and off. The sensor finger feature works better than any other brand I 've tried. I hope this stays unchanged in the lineup for many more years.

Sometimes you want a lighter, thinner glove that makes it easier to manipulate things in your pack, pull skins, dig pits, etc. Other days you want a glove that keeps you warm and dry when it ’s dumping and windy on the chairlift. These are those gloves. The inner liner can be pulled out to dry faster, and the long gauntlet shell keeps rain and snow where it ’s supposed to be. I supplemented the included Nikwax for better coverage and seam sealing. So far these are my favorite in- bounds gloves in years, better than the Hestras and Kincos I have used in the past.

These gloves were used on an expedition cruise to Antarctica where I did zodiac rides and hiking. They kept my hands warm in sub- freezing temps, no issue! I got several pair of these gloves for snowboarding/skiing. They are very warm with they liners. We have only used them on days were the temps were in the 20's and we did n't need the liners. They are dry and I love the features such as the tethers and cuff cinch. They are bulky with the liners and tend to run a bit large. My 16 year old son wears the small and I can fit the medium. I 've always had issues with cold hands while skiing. My best pair are the 3 finger Hestra glove which until i bought these, were my go to warm gloves. Even with the Hestra gloves, my fingers would get cold below 15°. Recently we were planning a ski trip and the forcast temps were to be a high of 0° and i knew my other gloves would not be sufficient, so i decided to purchase the Action heat gloves. I was very happy, with the sub 0° temps, my hands stayed warm. With those temps, I did keep them on the high setting knowing that I had also purchased a 2nd set of batteries which I 'm glad i did. I also have a Action Heat vest that i bought a few years ago and its been great too.

I have the intermediate weight OR sensor gloves used mountaineering in the Alps and really liked them. I was hoping these had allowed for better dexterity and they did. I ’ ve used this for everyday wear, rucking, hunting and some mountaineering in Maine. The coldest I ’ ve worn these were at around 10°F with the windchills around- 2°F. I was active during my wear and had no issues. I find these stay try better than the intermediate OR glove and really think the grid interior keeps my hand dryer and warmer than the intermediate.

Nice liner gloves. Heavy weight. Feel like they might last for a while. They are sort of bulky to fit into other gloves, but work great as a liner in mitts and overmits. Perfect combination for me.

I ’ ve recently purchased the Gerbing Men's 7V Atlas Ultra- Flex Battery Heated Gloves. I have other pairs of heated gloves, but these are by far the best. The flexibility they offer is perfect for my needs, and I ’ m sure they ’ ll provide many years of warm comfort. I still ride all winter long, and without Gerbing products, it would never be this comfortable.

Heats decent.... not smoking hot. I disliked the long cuff. Its longer than a full gauntlet also and impossible to get under the jacket sleeve. If I wear it over the jacket I risk letting water in.

Ive only wore these gloves a couple of times. It was 35 degrees outside and i was going 80mph. The heat was off and i felt absolutely nothing. MY HANDS WERE ALMOST SWEATING AT 35 DEGREES, WITH THE HEAT OFF.
