Bought for my 14 yr old son. For reference his favorite Nike model is the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3 elite which began release in 2017. Since he outgrown his last pair in 2020, he has primarily ran through the complete Phantom elite line the last 4 years and always compared them to the hypervenoms. Since receiving these he ’s said they made up for all of the flaws of the phantom GT ’s and GX ’s. Also he complimented how the grip of the ball was better than the Hypervenom ’s which no clear he ’s tried ever came close to. Finally I am happy he ’s confident and satisfied with a clear that can provide what he needs… He wore a 9 in the GX elite start of fall and grew out of them by January so he started wearing my Hypervenom 3 ’s which are a 10. 5. We ordered him a pair of these lunar elites in a 10. 5 and his foot more skinny than full but hit gives him just enough room to grow through the summer and I ’ m sure we ’ ll be back on the market afterwards for fall. A feature I like as a parent is they have foam padding in the heel/achilles area! I thought that is an under- rated feature that adds to the comfort. We could not tell a weight difference between the Luna and the mercurial elite. Highly recommend!!!

[ Normally with these types of shoes, I have to buy them a little larger, about a half size up, I had n't done that for these shoes and had ended up with a shoe that is closer to the size I wear with other shoes that fit differently. Unfortunately, they were a bit on the tighter size but they hugged my feet well. I loved how my feet looked in these! Despite the size issue, they were still slightly comfortable to wear and to use when playing on the field. The design was unlike any other shoe that I have owned. They were definitely unique and eye- catching despite not having bright colors. I liked this fabric as it was breathable and fit the shape of my foot. My favorite part was the design. I love black shoes and they are very sleek. Due to my own error, I would only get another pair that was sized up for my comfort.

The grass is very bad on our practice field so I got him these over AG. My son said this MG cleat pattern is perfect. His FG cleats would catch a weed or dig in too much and he would trip. Some parts or our field have thick grass, lots of weeds and also dry hard dirt so FG was too catchy. My son loves the flashy Mbappe colors as well. He did complain the shoe was too light and he feels he lost his some power. The shoe is crazy light but the materials feel sturdy. Will probably try heavier padded shoe like Tiempo next time

This latest version is a great new take on a classic design. The material feels incredibly light( better contact on the ball), yet durable—all while being made with at least 20% recycled materials. Fit: These are true to size, possibly a tiny bit small, but that ’s a positive in cleats. The shoe itself, is, like most other Zoom Vapors, on the more narrow side. It ’s designed to be snug on your foot on the pitch. If you have wider feet and intend on wearing thick socks, maybe order a half size up. Look: This is my favorite Nike cleat to date. With its all black design and very subtle swoosh and accents, it looks incredibly sleek—even the cleats and sole are dark. This color scheme is going to look the best, the longest, as it will hide all of the scuffs( and dirt) from regular use. Quality of Materials: I ’ d give it a 9/10 on quality. [ The cleats fit true to size. They are flexible enough to keep you stabilized during motion and planted in the field. As long as you lace them tight, you should not have any issues long term. I could run in them just as fast as any shoe. The matte black material is pretty breathable with a subtle shine. I like wearing black shorts and black socks with these. The material surprisingly did not scuff and provided adequate protection in a game of soccer. I don ’ t think I would change anything about them. Attached is a photo before the game.

[ The Zoom Vapor 16 Academy cleats feel like top of the line comfort boots with every step. The zoom air technology incorporated into the boots is noticeable by providing comfort and functionality. With every step and push off, I felt the boot propel and jolt me forward. The grip from the stud pattern also felt very sturdy on multiple playing surfaces. My initial 10+ hours in the boots on firm ground and turf fields allowed me to break the boots in pretty quickly and adjust them to my feet. These are slimmer boots with a more snug feel if you go true to size. A half size up in these would be my recommendation if you like a little room in your fútbol cleats. They feel like great materials so far and don ’ t get overwhelmingly hot in sunny playing conditions. The simple boot design will allow for some stunning color combinations. Overall the cleats are a great use of comfort technology with a simple design to allow for boots with great fit, form, and function.

But, after I put them on, I was happy to see that they were actually very comfortable. I played a few games and they didn ’ t even really need to be broken into. Bought for my 14 yr old son. For reference his favorite Nike model is the Nike Hypervenom Phantom 3 elite which began release in 2017. Since he outgrown his last pair in 2020, he has primarily ran through the complete Phantom elite line the last 4 years and always compared them to the hypervenoms. Since receiving these he ’s said they made up for all of the flaws of the phantom GT ’s and GX ’s. Also he complimented how the grip of the ball was better than the Hypervenom ’s which no clear he ’s tried ever came close to. Finally I am happy he ’s confident and satisfied with a clear that can provide what he needs… He wore a 9 in the GX elite start of fall and grew out of them by January so he started wearing my Hypervenom 3 ’s which are a 10. 5. We ordered him a pair of these lunar elites in a 10. 5 and his foot more skinny than full but hit gives him just enough room to grow through the summer and I ’ m sure we ’ ll be back on the market afterwards for fall. A feature I like as a parent is they have foam padding in the heel/achilles area! I thought that is an under- rated feature that adds to the comfort. We could not tell a weight difference between the Luna and the mercurial elite. Highly recommend!!!

[ Normally with these types of shoes, I have to buy them a little larger, about a half size up, I had n't done that for these shoes and had ended up with a shoe that is closer to the size I wear with other shoes that fit differently. Unfortunately, they were a bit on the tighter size but they hugged my feet well. I loved how my feet looked in these! Despite the size issue, they were still slightly comfortable to wear and to use when playing on the field. The design was unlike any other shoe that I have owned. They were definitely unique and eye- catching despite not having bright colors. I liked this fabric as it was breathable and fit the shape of my foot. My favorite part was the design. I love black shoes and they are very sleek. Due to my own error, I would only get another pair that was sized up for my comfort.

All managed to be fixed…and I ’ m so glad that I managed it. No break in time required, these boots are hands down the best control I ’ ve ever felt with a boot. The grip knit is a game changer for dribbling, crossing and shooting. Massively upped my game. If you ’ re looking for that next level in your game these are 100% worth the money.

[ If you are looking for cleat that gives you responsiveness on cuts as well as ball control. Look no further! I have been playing indoor in these bad boys for about a month now and I love how responsive my ball control is with the ultra sticky grip that covers the cleat. They are sleek, lightweight, and come in a great shade of textured black. The cleat fits true to size and is the perfect cleat for the masses. Check the grippy texture in the photo, it is a game changer.

[ Coming from the first pair of flyknit mercurials I was a little hesitant on this cleat. The mercurials were amazingly light a quick but lacked a connection with the ball, but the Phantom changes all of that. The new knit materials as an extremely tacky coating combined with the 3D texture for a great touch on the ball. At first I was surprised how grippy they were but quickly adjusted after a few minutes. They feel like they rip the ball out of the air and make the first touch so easy. Out of the box they the toe are was a little stiff but after 5 minutes they wore in nicely. There is basically no break in time, but if trying in store you may initially think they are stiff. Traction is great and I enjoyed the 360 cleat configuration in the forefoot. It ’s been early winter and a damp, but in these there was no slipping. Heel cup has a great amount of hold and a bunch of cushion making these the most comfortable soccer cleat I own. Sole plate in the all black color way looks cheap, but performs well. They are perfectly stiff and rebound well for that “ fast ” feeling. Overall, the old mercurials are in the closet and the phantom have taken their place as my favorite Nike cleat. [ To start with, this is the third pair of Zoom Vapors I ’ ve had. I ’ ve been in love with the shoe since it first launched, as its flexibility( mobility) and look are unrivaled. This latest version is a great new take on a classic design. The material feels incredibly light( better contact on the ball), yet durable—all while being made with at least 20% recycled materials. Fit: These are true to size, possibly a tiny bit small, but that ’s a positive in cleats. The shoe itself, is, like most other Zoom Vapors, on the more narrow side. It ’s designed to be snug on your foot on the pitch. If you have wider feet and intend on wearing thick socks, maybe order a half size up. Look: This is my favorite Nike cleat to date. With its all black design and very subtle swoosh and accents, it looks incredibly sleek—even the cleats and sole are dark. This color scheme is going to look the best, the longest, as it will hide all of the scuffs( and dirt) from regular use. Quality of Materials: I ’ d give it a 9/10 on quality. The shoe feels incredibly durable and performs well on the pitch. I ’ m only detracting 1 point as the tongue feels too thin and potentially weak. To be clear, it hasn ’ t torn or had any issues, but I just worry that it might. Overall: I ’ ve loved wearing them and their performance is fantastic. The shoes are comfortable, secure, and with their thin design, you have immense control when striking the ball. I ’ m a huge fan of the color scheme, though, I wouldn ’ t complain if there was a tiny more color popping on the swoosh( maybe a dark grey?). Beyond that, the only other change is perhaps a slightly thicker tongue on the shoe, for both protection and peace of mind. Highly recommend these cleats!

[ The cleats fit true to size. They are flexible enough to keep you stabilized during motion and planted in the field. As long as you lace them tight, you should not have any issues long term. I could run in them just as fast as any shoe. The matte black material is pretty breathable with a subtle shine. I like wearing black shorts and black socks with these. The material surprisingly did not scuff and provided adequate protection in a game of soccer. I don ’ t think I would change anything about them. Attached is a photo before the game.

This is our second pair, bought the academy version first. Very wide toe box, super comfy and is a great option since phantom Luna was her previous fave. Wish the colors were more diverse. Have an extra 2 pairs on hand since it ’s a bit harder to find wider toe boxes in cleats.
