My only issue as sizing. Seems to run a size larger. I purchased a Medium which is the true size for my nephew, and it overwhelmed him. I 'm exchanging for a Small. This jacket is an addition to the three other various Carhartts that I have hanging in my coat closet. I was needing something on the lighter side this time for doing some e- bike trail riding around metro Detroit and also something to match the camo paint scheme on my fat tire. This jacket's Moss color turned out being about as close to U. S. Army `` mean green '' as you could hope to get and I also really like the high zip neck and velcro adjustable sleeves. The fit was perfect too, as always. Since I have the sincere `` need for speed '', I was also duly impressed with how warm it was against the Spring windchill temps. I paired this jacket up also with some Carhartt fingerless gloves which is another story but the combo has worked out exceedingly well for riding. After all the accolades though, what stands out the most about this brand to me is that it was born in the City of Detroit for the tough, honest, hardworking man and wearing it, to quote Doc Holiday, kind of reminds me of me.

Even though it says the fix is trim fitting, I 've found it plenty roomy. The inside feels great, i like the large hand pockets and the chest pocket. Hood is a good fit, and most important of all- it's kept me dry during a few short downpours and a moderate rain during a 4 hour hike. This is going to be my new favorite shell.

If you can only afford one rain shell, this is it! Lightweight, breathable, comfortable, AND waterproof! I wore this during the steady deluge of a Pineapple Express rain event for over an hour and remained dry and comfortable. All of the zippers( main, armpit, pocket) have been trouble- free. Keep in mind this jacket lacks a two- way zipper and an internal pocket, but despite these shortcomings I find it to be an excellent value!

Definitely a jacket for specific shoulder season weather: colder, semi- dry days. It's a warm jacket that sadly does n't have pit zips to let heat out when the hiking/climbing gets going. I had to fully unzip the front and leave it open. Would n't use it as a rain jacket. Could be used as a light snow jacket. I 've been using it as a springtime( and fall) belay jacket and it works great. If you get caught in a drizzle the repellancy works shedding water and wind. Love the soft, stretch fabric that does n't restrict moment and allows me to wear just a t- shirt underneath if need be. Big pockets all with good zippers and it packs into its own pocket. The hand cuffs are interesting and remind me of cycling jackets that are longer on top to keep water off the back your hands. It has stretch band cuff on the underside along wrist. So far i have n't had issue with them, but i worry the elastic will one day no longer be tight and the cuff could be baggy and useless. Maybe they should have stuck with classic Velcro straps to adjust cuff tightness-- only time will tell. Overall i like the jacket as my backup for when i do n't expect bad weather but need something just in case. A great jacket for walking around town too.

Really nice soft shell, super stretchy, the hood is particularly well designed. My main critiques are its fit is a little on the tight and smaller side compared to what i 'm used to from MH, and i wish it had a chest zipper, as I find that quite useful in jackets.

This is the best softshell I 've found for the price. The fabric is super stretchy and soft. I 'm 5' 4 '' and got the small size, but I think XS would fit better. The pockets, fabric quality, and helmet compatibility are perfect for a day in the mountains. The double zipper is perfect for climbing.

[ I received my jacket right before a pretty severe storm and I was genuinely impressed of the quality. I was able to stay dry and the material did not allow wind drafts in the jacket. Sizing- I am 5 ’ 9 and weigh 175. The medium fits me well. Not too big but large enough that I can wear a sweatshirt underneath the jacket without feeling restricted. [ This is a pricey shell but I got it with the hopes of wearing as a general outer layer. Its still new but so far I 've been able to wear in mixed conditions( snow, wind, rain) and it has met my needs in all cases. The neck line fits just a little strangely for me but otherwise fit is great( it's wide to account for zipping up over the face). With an under layer it keeps me warm in freezing conditions and remains breathable for a waterproof shell. Also get frequent compliments on the look. Very happy with this splurge item so far.

I work at a meat shop and when I am inside the freezer, it is really cold and it kills me. Once I used a normal jacket without any heating elements in it, but it did not work out fine. I haven ’ t tried it out in the rain but I did wear it for a day and can say that it does keep you warm! I love the pit zippers they allow you to breathe and conceal at the same time! Love the colors my only peeve is that a large is truly a large lol. If you want to wear a sweatshirt under a rain jacket this is perfect if you wear a medium size shirt youll want to up it in size only if you plan wearing something bulky under it if not, then stay to the size you wear. The other reason I got the large is my arms are longer than average and my shoulders broader than average as well! I wish it was tapered at the waist line a little bit but overall it ’s a cute jacket! I got it to take on a cruise in the UK from Amsterdam! 12 days of fun I hope! I believe this jacket will last a lifetime as I have several products from Cotopaxi! My backpack is 16 years old and still looks new and I use it a lot! I stand 6 ’ 0 ”, and I weigh around 185lbs. A size large would be perfect if you are close to my size. This jacket looks very nice, and it keeps you very warm. If you wear some relatively thick undergarments, you can get around comfortably in some pretty cold weather while wearing this jacket. And when you zip up, the zipper goes into a small pocket. It keeps your neck from being irritated by the zipper. Very good design.
