I should have done more research before buying. This bike is not pedal assist at all. The motor is basically useless as it does not provide any assistance while pedaling. If you have your feet on the pedals but do n't pedal, it does not move no matter what level you are on.. I ordered for my wife who has bad knees and was hoping it would assist her in pedaling but unfortunately it does n't. It will work for her somewhat but it's not what i thought it would be. With that said we will probably keep it. I did give 4 stars though. because it was my mistake for not doing my homework. If you are looking for a pedal assist bike however, this is not.

I am so glad I bought the FreeStep. It's everything I hoped it would be. Most importantly my husband is able to use it-- and does. Due to the progression of his disease which has resulted in a lack of balance and decreased strength, he was no longer able to use another piece of exercise equipment we had. I bought the teeter hang up in December because my wife has a bad back. I researched the teeter freestep because she uses a similar device in her physical therapy sessions and woth it missing a step this is amazing and she loves it and so do I. With decompressing after using the freestep on the days she doesn ’ t have therapy her back feels so much better and we couldn ’ t be happier. Putting it together required being focused, but it was fairly easy. Once together, it is doing exactly what we bought it to do: getting adequate, easily done exercise for two older folks. I ’ ve got four 45- minute segments and it doesn ’ t give me the same accomplishment from walking outdoors in that same time without turning the resistance past 8 on the 14- levels dial, but I don ’ t miss my outdoor exercise when it ’s 22 degrees and 17 mph wind gusts make walking undoable. Quality of the bike manufacturing is very good. Seat is comfortable and the pedals are easy to secure your foot( adjustable). Pedaling is quiet and the distance from seat to pedal is variable by adjusting the seat height and should satisfy most riders. I started using this bike in past month and have really enjoyed it. The initial set up and installation was simple and the instructions provided were detailed enough for two individuals to put together in a timely manner. I was easily able to login with my ifit login and begin to explore the workout options. The fan power is an improvement to my other NordicTrack exercise equipment and you can tell this is just a high quality product by the look and feel. The seat was uncomfortable at first but with some padded bike shorts and getting used it, its no longer an issue. Let me just say that the initial few workouts were HARD for me, so challenging. I thought I could start at intermediate and realized pretty quickly that I was at a beginner level and have been able to work my way up. The programs offer incredible workouts and with consistency I have been able to progress and notice an increase in strength and endurance. I have been truly impressed by the functions and features of the bike, especially with the auto incline, decline and resistance. These workouts are so fun and I think this is genuinely worth the financial investment.

My experience for home gym bikes has been pretty basic until this upgrade. We had a very simple bike, before and it was n't really enjoyable to use. This bike has been a huge improvement on that. I did n't realize that bikes were even capable of doing what this bike does. I have thoroughly enjoyed the fact that the bike not only allows you to adjust resistance but also elevation. It gives riding it a very realistic feel, because as it adjust elevations, you can feel the resistance changing as well. I never expected that to work as well as it does and to make it feel much more like you are really riding outside. One other feature that has been a very pleasant surprise is how quiet the machine is. I work from home and I am in the same room as the bike, and my wife can workout on it and not bother me at all. It is also nice how easily the seat adjust to fit different people. Easy to turn knobs that make it so you can go higher/lower or forward/backward. A couple minor issues I have ran into, that have n't altered my opinion of the bike at all. The first is I have done a couple Ifit exercises on it and it does n't always link up right with the elevation adjustments on the workout. I have had to manually adjust elevation during the workout to match where the workout says it should be. It works probably 90% of the time, but I have had a few times where it has n't adjusted. The other is that everything, other than the resistance and elevation, are controlled by the touch screen. At times, during a harder workout, it can be a little difficult to make changes to some things if you chose to, but this is a very minor thing compared to what all you can do with the machine. Overall I have loved the machine. I have never liked riding a trainer bike indoors, but this has changed my opinion on that. This is an incentivized review.

This bike has made it so much easier to train indoors. I 've tried a couple of other indoor trainers and this has been the easiest and most comfortable to get on and set up. It starts up quickly and the screen is large and responsive. If you have the iFIT subscription you can watch Amazon and Netflix shows as well as follow thier pre recorded work outs that they film all around the world. The bike is comfortable to sit on and has some good adjustablility in the seat as far as height and even forward and back positioning of the seat. It makes it easy for my husband and I to use because it is so adjustable. I really like the fans as well because I can get a bit warm working out indoors. Putting the bike together when we got it was pretty easy. There are some pieces that can be a little heavy but are n't a problem if you have two people. Also Make sure to tighten both adjusment knobs on the seat or they squeak and pop a little during your ride. I love this bike and am very happy with it. If you are looking for something quiet and sleek as well as very adjustable, this is the right one. This is an incentivized review. My opinion is honest and unbiased.

This is the first bike I have owned but I have used many commercial bikes over the years. This one is very solid so you can pedal at higher speeds and at an incline without any worry. It is also very quiet, which is a big plus if you are working out while other people in your house are sleeping. The large touchscreen works well and is very nice. You feel very immersed in the iFit workouts. The bike is very adjustable and it's nice to have the resistance buttons on the handlebar so you can easily make changes. Overall, it is a great bike and I think anyone would be happy using it. The bike is easy and quick to put together but unless you are very strong you ’ ll need another person to help. I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

I ’ ve had this bike for several months now and ride it every chance I get when I don ’ t go for an outdoor ride. It works great, it ’s sturdy and not jerky at all. I ’ ve put an iPAd on it, heart monitor and cadence monitor and use the peloton classes without a hitch and at a much lower cost than the peloton or their subscription service. My 16 year daughter put the bike together in about 30 minutes! The pedals were a problem initially as they kept falling off, but we looked up help in this and rectified it. My only issue is getting my spin shoes to clip in and out. The bike is AWESOME! Sturdy, quiet ride!

I have a leg fracture and my daughter got me this arm bike to get upper body workout. Leg immobile. We had a table to sit it on and legs can fit underneath using bands to help secure. Had mine for a few days now Nov 25. It is wonderful. Seat and handlebars are adjustable. Seat height adjustable vertically and horizontally. Pedals have clips on one side and toe cages on other making it versatile. Wheels on front stabilizer make it easy to move. Connects to zwift and other cycling apps. Has a nice beverage holder. Extremely quiet and smooth. Got this on black Friday deal at an incredible price. Wife loved it and so do I. You can not go wrong. Only thing I would add is a usb jack to charge your tablet or iphone.

I like it. The quality seems quite good. I 'm really out of shape so it wipedme out pretty quick. I tried to fold it and there will be a trick to that, like pushing the rear against a wall, while I pin it closed. I 'll sort it. It can just live next to my chair and get busted out while I 'm watching TV. Pretty perfect.

This is a great trainer. It is made in the USA and the build quality is outstanding. Add to that, the unit is designed to be easy to assemble and simple to use. Clamping the bike in to the unit is a simple one motion process and the bike is firmly held. The wheel tension knob is genius! Just turn it until it clicks and you have the correct pressure on your tire. I have owned other fluid trainers, but this has to be the smoothest and most consistent I have ever used. It truly provides linear resistance that gets more challenging as your speed increases. I have not tried it with the Saris training tire yet, but the noise level with a standard road tire was minimal. The included speed sensor works well and paired immediately with the Rouvy app on my iPhone. I did have some issues mounting the sensor because the inside width of my rear hub is pretty narrow. Once I figured out how to best mount it on my wheel, I had no issues.

I love this recumbent bike. I am an avid walker and I needed something for the winter months to keep me in shape. With the Sunnyfit app this bike is so much fun. I researched a lot of bikes and I am happy that I chose this one. One of the reasons I bought it is that it comes with the free Sunnyfit app which opens up a whole new level of fitness connectivity. What I like is to choose a World Tour workout and ride through the scenic streets and paths of other countries. It takes the boredom out of the workout. There are also instructor based workouts, and all for free! The app also tracks your progress and rewards you with badges, points and rankings when you reach certain goals.

I am loving my new recumbent. The two problems that I have with it are not by any stretch of the imagination deal breakers, but minor annoyances. My first minor complaint is that I ca n't put any amount of weight on the rear handlebar without it sliding all the way down. There's only that one screw to tighten up and that does n't keep it from sliding all the way down when weight is put on it. Being a retired mechanical engineer, it's swivel point could be redesigned to incorporate some sort of ratcheting or indexing to keep it in position when loaded. Now for my last issue. Where it's located in my condo it does n't get a lot of light, especially in the evening. During the day I do n't have an issue, but at night I ca n't read the display. Unless I 'm missing something the display should be backlit. I 've been trying to rig up a little led light to fasten to the console to illuminate it but have n't found anything yet. So if you guys have any way of doing it I 'd appreciate it. Thanks for listening. I do n't know if you respond to these reviews, but I would appreciate your response to my concerns.

The bike has a space- saving size, but yet it has a 300 lb. rating. It was packaged well, without damage, although it took a little longer to arrive than I 'd hoped — standard, easy, step- by- step assembly. This is a small and lightweight unit. I can easily move it from home to work. This fits easily under my desk. This device was not what I expected. It has multiple modes that go forward and then backward. It is motorized but does not offer resistance levels or ability to speed up. I would recommend this for anyone that sits for long hours and just wants to move legs for better circulation. It ’s not comparable to the indoor bicycles. It does make noise if you are in a meeting. But it ’s not horribly loud until it reverses direction. Direction changes are at set intervals, but feel abrupt if your peddling fast and no t paying attention. I really do like it and it helps me keep moving while working for long hours.
