I got into rowing at my local gym on this same exact rower and loved it. I deceided to buy one for the house( one of my greatest decisions) and tried Concepts and various hydro rowers. They did n't come close as far as comfort and also they did n't have a high enough resistance which I enjoy. I am not very good at setting things up from a manual, I 'm a video person, but I assembled this myself easily in 2 hours, very clever step by step instructions with the tools included. Nothing was very difficult. Then I had my phone connected to the screen, blasting old hip hop videos off YouTube and custom programmed my favorite rowing settings in barely 5 minutes. I 've had my rower now for several months and initially had issues with the meter not connecting to the app. I had replaced another rowing machine in favor of this one to specifically connect to the app. Sunny Fitness sent a replacement meter and everything has been working great ever since. This rowing machine is wonderful! I did not want to give a full star down- rating for only a minor issue, so will leave my rating at 5 stars. The only issue had to do w/the LCD display attachment. There was a one of 4 screws that did not fit properly in the mounting hardware and my display ended up in a crooked position. However, like I said it's only a minor thing and does not at all impact the functionality of the machine. I 'm so glad that I purchased this rower!!!

I bought this a month ago and have used it 2- 3 times weekly to supplement my running and other fitness activities. It definitely works different muscles in the legs and has helped me feel stronger as a runner. For me to get my heart rate up, I really have to have a high tempo( 30+ strokes a minute). The machine is smooth and not as loud as some reviews would have you believe. The seat is cushioned, but firm. I wear padded biking shorts and loose fitting gym shorts over them. So, your sit bones do get a little sore. I was in good shape before I started using this. Now, after a month, my legs and forearms are finally conditioned to not hurt after using it for 25 minutes.

I prefer water rowers to any type of rower. You can fill it as much as you like for a strong or light resistance. I keep mine on the lower end so I can row for 15 minutes. Easy to move you lift up the front and you can push it anywhere with the wheels on the back. I pull it out into the sun and other days I keep it in the garage.

I had the air version and upgraded to this one with air and magnetic resistance. It ’s an upgrade for sure with resistance. Less productive at the 30 minute mark. Only concern with this product is longevity as the volute spring went on the prior model. But I stayed with Sunny as the overall product is good and it lasted long enough to where I don ’ t feel it was a financial loss. I used it often. Fingers crossed this last 2+ years with almost daily use.

The only issue I have noticed is the pedal spacing is farther apart than what I was used to on my very simple and little hydraulic machine by SunnyHealth. But the drive is smooth, the ride is more comfortable because of the fan. and the padded seat. I use this with HOLODIA app on Quest 2 and really enjoy rowing. The main piece is pre- asasembled. You add the pedals, the seat, the slidebar and the rear stabilizer. Very pleased with the sale price and the additional 10% off. Brought the machine cost down to 495. And it is well packaged and protected. It had rained for 3 days and the box was a mess. But nothing touched the machine inside. I purchased this rower about a month ago. This machine gives an excellent total body workout! I use it 30 minutes per day 4 or 5 days per week. It has stood up well to the heavy use. The monitor is sufficient for tracking your workout. I use it mostly as a timer. I will be purchasing a simple heart rate monitor to ensure I am reaching my target heart rate. I read other reviews that said it was loud but the noise level is what one should expect from an air resistance rower. It is fan noise. I listen to music on portable speakers while I row. The machine is in a room next to my living room and there is no problem hearing the TV while the rower is in use. Very happy with this rower!
