Replacing an older TNF Goretex hard shell that held up for a very long time until the zippers failed. First impressions is that the number of pockets and their positioning is exactly the type of thing you did n't know you needed until you have it. Feels light and offers good maneuverability. Just roomy enough that layering with mid layer does n't feel bulky and stuffed. Although the armpit area is a bit snug, I have a Denali fleece so maybe the newer FutureFleece models will fit better. I have high hopes this jacket will hold up for years snowboarding here on our icy slopes. I 'm already liking the tech designed into this jacket.

This jacket exceeded my expectations. This specific Summit Series puffer jacket is a bit more `` puffier '' than other down puffer jackets. It's very warm and can be worn as a mid layer or by itself.

I have two different versions/years of this jacket. Love the weight to warmth ratio- super light. Very wam and comfortable but, recommend a shell if your adventure will encounter wind.

So far, so good. It's light and very warm. It packs up small and it's really comfortable. I just picked it up, so I ca n't speak to durability over time- but if my previous NF purchases are any indication, I 'll be weary this for a decade.

[ Used this for a two month long hike- Camino Frances plus Fisterra in spring of this year( 2024). Phenomenal. Good for wind and great for rain. But this coat is so light I found it also worked for sun protection. It packs into its own pocket and is very light weight. Like the other reviewers I was skeptical about how thin the material was. However, after wearing it snowboarding and Nordic skiing as a mid layer, it is awesome. The only downside I can tell is that the thumb holes are aligned in a way that sort of twists the sleeves. Also the seam line across the chest can be a little annoying to feel. Otherwise, warm and worth the upgrade.

I purchased this Summit Series 1/4 zip to replace another one that ripped. This one is nice, but a little thicker than the previous version, which I still like better as it's lighter and more breathable. This one is fine for now.

The material is much more lightweight allowing for easier layering. The material is deceiving thin but is as warm all the other fleece jackets I 've owned.
