This thing is awesome! I was debating between this and the heavier version by Sea to Summit, but I 'm glad I got this version as it is incredibly tiny when in it's sack and lightweight. Definitely worth the extra cost! It takes the place of a backpack cover, rain jacket, tarp, and( potentially) rain pants in your pack, while being smaller and lighter than any of those items by themselves! The stuff sack is small( which can be a positive when considering the amount of room you save in your pack) however I was, with some effort, able to get it back in effectively after removing it for use. I am excited to continue to put this thing to the test here in the PNW where rains are, at times, incessant. I do find myself wondering if further enhancement of design could enable better protection from rain for the arms, however I understand that this is a tarp/ poncho combo, so it would be a challenge that would likely drive up price a bit as well and would add material in random places when being used as a tarp. Thanks for the awesome product Sea to Summit!

[ The Nike Swift Women's Repel Packable Running Jacket comes out of the package sleek and ready to go. The sleeves are roomy enough to slide on without fighting a watch band and fall just past my wrists. A comfortable elastic sits around your wrist and does a pretty good job of keeping the sleeves in place while not feeling tight. The fabric of this jacket is soft to the touch and extremely light, providing a comfortable wearing experience that does n't weigh you down. Even though the fabric feels delicate, it proved itself perfectly balanced-- able to keep me comfortable in the winter chill at the start of my workout and manage to not leave me overheated at the end. The jacket fit like a glove, yet I still felt like I had plenty of room to move without anything riding up or feeling too tight. There was enough room to be able to wear anything from long sleeve to just a sports bra without issue. The hem is asymmetrical, going from shorter in the front to a slightly longer back hem line. I loved this because it still allowed use of a running belt while keeping my lower back more comfortably covered. And did I mention the hood? Light, but providing full coverage so this jacket can demonstrate the full force of its water repellant ability. The hood was my favorite feature. I feel like hoods often do n't cover enough or stay on well enough as you move. This one had no issues with that. Oh, and the front pockets zip, so you do n't have to worry about anything flying out while you 're moving. There's a lot to love in this jacket, and it even includes a whistle tucked into the lapel that you can use when you 're running alone or need to call out to your running buddy. I do n't have any complaints, but if I had to change one thing, I would lengthen the sleeves and add thumb holes. I did feel like the elastic kept the sleeves down pretty well, but thumb holes are just that extra security I love when I run. Overall, this jacket fit great, looked excellent, felt comfortable, and kept me covered and at an ideal temperature from the start of my run to the end.

[ This jacket is pretty much everything you want it to be for a running coat or rain coat or everyday wear coat!:) It is so thin, lightweight and the material is very stretchy. I love that it's made of 75% recycled material and is also waterproof. Cool! My favorites about this coat are in the details though!! The sleeves have elastic so you can pull them up your arms and they stay. The zipper pulls all have a little extender on them for convenient use and there is an elastic hook to hang the coat by. Probably my favorite detail is the design of the hood pulls. You can pull your hood tight and lock it into place with a stopper. But even more awesome, the stopper is on a loop with a little blocking washer so your strings wo n't get lost in the holes of the hood during wear or washing. Amazing design!!! The only thing I would mention here is that I am a woman and this is a mens coat so the design is very straight; no room for hips at all- so I would suggest getting a womens style coat if you are at all curvy. For me I just tuck it under. Also for a men's small to fit me perfect makes me think it may run a bit small( as I think most Nike items do). Overall, highly recommend.

I am so happy I got this coat for the torrential rains that are happening in California right now. I usually wear a medium... sized up to a large and I am glad I did. The sleeves are long enough to hide my cold hands and I 'm able to wear layers underneath for warmth. It still looks good. My L covers my butt( 5' 6 '', 34DD, short arms, 145 lbs.) I prefer light colors for visibility in stormy conditions, so I got the white/tan one. The internal drawstring at the waist is flattering. The hood WILL NOT blow down in wind. I was searching for a new rain jacket and I wanted one that was n't as loud as some other brands tend to be. The moment I got my hands on this one, I was completely smitten. I 'm not sure how they managed to make this rain jacket both soft and waterproof, but it's seriously out of this world. I ca n't say enough good things about this jacket. I 've owned countless name brand rain jackets specifically designed for outdoor activity, but this one is by FAR the best I 've used. There are countless details that set this rain jacket apart from other brands. First, it's remarkably comfortable. The inside liner makes the jacket/skin contact feel like a normal jacket as opposed to the discomfort plastic feel of other brands. The jacket is quiet, and hardly has any sound typically associated with rain jackets. The hood works wonderfully, fits well around my head, and does n't block my vision when looking left and right. The sleeve design around the wrist even allows for you to check your watch with ease, but effortlessly slides back over based on the well positioned elastic. The sleeves do n't ride up while casting a fly rod either. I waited to write a review until I 'd spent some time on the water fishing with it as well. The jacket performed equally as well in a 5 hour down pour while I waded a NC trout stream as it does walking around town. I had no restrictions fly casting, and landing fish. I remained dry after fishing for 5 hours in a constant downpour, and it breathed well the entire time. I enjoy all of my Free Fly products, but this jacket is my favorite product yet. If you have any need for a quality rain jacket with extreme comfort, range of motion, and legit rain resistance then this is a must purchase.

Received a little late due to shipping SNAFU, but Elliot at FFA had another in the mail quickly. Once I received the jacket, I was well impressed with its quality and impeccable attention to detail. I can not overstate that, as there was not an errant thread, fabric blemish, or ill- bonded seam whatsoever. A word of caution to those who might overthink the sizing- it is definitely true to size, so plan accordingly if you intend to layer underneath. 50 degree downpours or light rain are what it excels at. Much colder, and you ’ ll be dry and cold, as when properly fitted and NOT up- sized, you won ’ t have enough room to comfortably layer. Mine fits exceptionally well with no binding or hiking up during practically any activity. It fits best with a T, a polo, or a normal poly/cotton collared shirt. Much more than that underneath- cautiously consider oversizing. I say this because the arm length and cuffs are perfectly matched to the size- at least for me. I prefer a perfect cuff length with the necessary true fit on my torso, than longer cuffs that would expectedly come with an up- sized torso. My tape measurements are: Chest( nipples)- 41 ” /Tummy( bellybutton)- 39 ” /Hips( pelvis)- 37 ” /booty- 38 ”. Weight: 162lbs. Height: 5 ’ 9 ” I ’ d have hoped for this type fitting information when I purchased a somewhat expensive and purpose- built rain jacket, but that is not realistic given the variance in body types. So if anyone has similar sizing to me, you can rest assured that my measurements are indicative of the fit I have reviewed. One thing I can ’ t stress enough though, the cuff length is spot- on for me, at the size jacket I purchased( L). They extend just past the wrist bone, and my nape to wrist bone measurement is 31. 5 ” I ’ m hugely satisfied with the jacket, and feel that the value is within the range of price……. perhaps slightly lower by 7- 10 percent by some, but that is based on the individual.

i use the Helium Rain Jacket in addition to a 700 fill goosedown esp. when i ride out into wilderness. while it will not protect against sheer downpours, it will if you 're under a tree! plus, in conjunction with the puffer i stay super warm and dry while packing small and light. imperative on a horse!

I enjoy this jacket a lot. It's been raining a lot in my city and I am happy that this prevents any water from getting to my inside layers and also blocks the wind. I normally get a size M for comfort and I like baggier fits. I am 5' 5 '' and usually a 28 '' waist. I think the M fits well around the waist but the location of the pockets feels a bit low for me. Maybe a small size would have been more flattering. Overall, I am happy with it!

If you are not familiar with Columbias's sizing, always buy a size smaller than what you are on top. It's like they are clothing for lumberjacks and samoan football players. Besides that, wore it in the backyard forest walking through the swamp the other night and it breathes very well, does not stick to the skin when raining and has become my go to fall weather jacket. Just love the style and way it feels!!

The colors on this jacket are beautiful, and the fit is perfect. I 'm a tall( 5' 9 '') woman with an inverted triangle( broad shoulders, then rectangular) body type, very long arms, and a short torso. The arm length is great on me, the waist is n't comically long, and the jacket is plenty roomy to accommodate layers underneath. This is my second Cotapaxi jacket and the cut of their women's jackets fits me so much better than any other brand on the market that I just ordered a third. Because the fit is different than many other women's outdoor brands, I would n't recommend to everyone, but if you have an athletic build and/or prefer a less `` feminine '' cut, I ca n't recommend their gear highly enough!

This rain jacket is super impressive. When it comes to traveling, camping, hiking, or even exploring new cities, countries, etc. You ca n't beat the portability of this jacket. It is super thin and light making it easy to roll up and store into any type of bag weather it's a backpack, purse, or even large fanny pack. Even for being so light and thin, it easily stops water from getting through. I 've had zero issues with any type of moisture getting inside either due to prolonged periods of water exposure or leaks through any seals and stitching. I will say, because it's so thin, in colder weather, you would need a warmer layer underneath to act as insulation. That being said, you might need to get one size up than normal so it can fit over any layers you need. Also, if you are traveling through any thick brush or scraping up against rocks, you need to be careful about scraping or snagging any sharp/rough surfaces too hard to prevent any micro/macro tears in the material. Being so thin, it's not super durable, but it's not very easily torn either. Overall fantastic product and highly recommend

This jacket has all the features I wanted, at a very reasonable price. 1) It actually keeps you dry-- not all `` rain jackets '' do. I 've stayed dry in heavy downpours miles from shelter. 2) Pit zips, tuck- away drawstring hood, two front zipper pockets and especially: 3) an inch or two of extra length more than almost all similar jackets. I bought this in the early summer bc I was in desperate need of a new rain jacket( my old one was literally crumbling apart!). This past weekend I assisted in the rescue 7 people who were capsized in a pontoon boat. I dove into the water with phone and all in the pocket of this jacket. After the scary event ended I took my phone out of my pocket and was shocked to still see the phone screen activated! The phone still needed about 7 hours to completely dry out and let me charge it but it ’s completely fine now. They size these a bit big so get a size smaller than you need, but the fabric isn ’ t line a crinkly raincoat that you ’ re used to. It flows more and looks like a regular jacket. The yellow really pops!

I purchased this jacket after see that rain was predicted for all 15 days of our trip to Europe. I 'm glad I did. The jacket was easy to pack tight and did n't show any creases. I was able to wear a sweater under it on the cold days and never felt like I had on too many layers. The rain did fall, but the hacket kept me dry the whole trip. I would be interested in the same jacket in black.

Quality is fantastic and the waterproofing works perfectly. Similar jackets from other companies are easily twice as much, and less quality than the Cielo Rain Jacket. Will be buying more Cotopaxi gear for sure!

In the past, I ’ ve had the option of my rain jacket ruining my outfit, or opting for no rain jacket, but having the rain ruin my outfit…. NOW neither are a problem, as this jacket actually makes my outfits even cuter!! Fits comfortably true to size, but size up if you want it to be longer. For reference, I am 5 ’ 3, and the medium fits cutely oversized, and even the large works. The XS definitely fits, but was a little short for my liking.

I love this! I ’ ve been looking for a raincoat I can wear both on my hikes and when I ’ m walking to my office job. So happy I found one that is cute enough to not ruin my office outfits, but functional enough to keep me dry outside! I really love how it has a similar scrunch bottom so you can adjust the length to have it long how it is in the product pictures or make it shorter/ more cropped depending on how you want to wear it! Got it in the beige color and feel like it ’s the perfect neutral for fall!

The Mary rain jacket feels like such a timeless staple. I live in New England, and I 'm traveling to `` old '' England later this year. Between our record rainfall back home and variable conditions across the pond, I needed a good raincoat. Cue* hours* of research, which landed me here. So far I 've worn this coat out in several storms for 10- 20min at a time( walking the dog) and after a quick shake off in the mudroom, it's completely dry. And so am I! Plus it's quiet, blocks wind, and the material has a nice matte finish. The colors are lovely, classy green shades that go with everything. Got a medium and there's room to layer a fairly bulky coat or sweatshirt underneath but it's not huge if I 'm just in a t- shirt. I 'm 5' 6 '', athletic 150lbs, 37- 27- 38. I 'm literally excited to camp and hike in the rain this summer now that I 'll have this coat to protect me. Now I just want OR to make a matching one for the dog.

This jacket is as functional as it fashionable. My go to jacket any time there is inclement weather. Very comfortable and size is perfect. No complaints with this jacket. Thanks for a zipper that seems like it will hold up as long as the jacket.

Great rain jacket! Very lightweight, and quite stretchy for a rain shell. It fits perfectly over multiple layers underneath( shirt, fleece, and OR Transcendent Down Hoodie), and the hood has great coverage. It's lasted well through heavier rain on the West Coast and dries quick
