I love the fit and feel. Very lightweight, which I wanted, as a summer weight jacket. The stretch improves the fit and feel over my other bomber. The only things I would change is; Add the original bomber style shoulder pockets and tool sleeves, maybe even on both sides. A velcro shoulder patches with a cover that matches the jacket fabric to hide the velcro if preferred. Stretch cordura or something cut resistant to protect in the shop against sheet metal edges or on the street for self defence. Hand pocket designed more like the original without the flap. Or maybe different bomber offerings.

Excellent for winter to cut the wind and retain heat. Had multiple deer come within 30 yds and jacket noise did not alert them. Used as a top layer with layering( and heated vest, socks, and gloves all on lowest setting) during a 12( F) degree morning, never got cold and didn ’ t feel the wind. It does not have pockets, which helps with retaining heat and one less thing to leak down the road, but I use a small pack to carry in. I do suggest breaking it in a bit. Hope this helps, y ’ all stay dry and warm out there.

This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. There is nothing about this jacket that I do n't like. Bravo Carhartt!

[ I recently purchased a Men ’s Ether DriClime Hoody and I must say, it ’s just the ticket. Love the orange color. It fits great — I ’ m 6 ’ 3 ” and 175 lbs and the large was perfect. Here in Colorado it will be a great 3 season outer piece and good for layering in the cold, especially with the hoody. I use it for running, cross country skiing, going for walks or as a base layer. It has a slight stretch which makes it so movable- I just love it!

I have been wearing different versions of this jacket since 1999!!! The combination of being windproof with just a little insulation is PERFECT for so many activities! Because the outer material isn ’ t really connected to the inside, the jacket has an unexpected loftiness,& is WAY warmer than you ’ d think it would be…but at the same time doesn ’ t get too hot??? There was one version( windshirt) that even had small perforations in the armpits which was AWESOME. I live in Colorado,& I wear this piece for everything from an outer layer on cold spring and fall days, to a mid layer for low output activities. I even used to use one for snowboarding. My only complaint is that they only make the hooded version now. For me, nothing else I ’ ve tried really competes with this thing. Please don ’ t ever stop making it!!!

I love this jacket.. I was previously a ski- patroller, so I ’ m sort of an outdoor clothing junkie. It ’s the perfect fall and spring jacket IMO. To combine a super lightweight windbreaker and super soft micro- fleece liner, with close wrist ends and synchable waist plus three zippered pockets is genius I think. Seeming simple- but I have not found anything like this from other clothing companies. It ’s super versatile and a great west coast “ traveling/ hiking/ camping jacket ”. I had an earlier version of this jacket in grey without the hood which I loved( bring back the hood less option and offer it in more colors!) and lost it( on a plane I think).. I was so happy to find out that they still made it and bought two- one for myself and a bright one for my teenage son. He loves it too.( And so will you!)

This jacket is so comfortable and warm. I bought it for skiing and I love it. The material is soft. I like how it zips up high to keep my neck warm while still leaving room to wear a neck gaiter. I also love the inside sleeves that fit over my thumbs. They fit great under my mittens and provided extra warmth. I found my usual size a bit small, but the next size up fit perfectly. I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. I love how lightweight it is, and that is compacts down if it warms up during the day and I need to pack it away for my commute home. I actually have no complaints about a product for once. It's my go to for extreme cold, and it's served me well in temps as low as- 40°. You can wear* heavy* layers underneath this thing and it does n't feel cumbersome. The wind and water resistance is excellent, and adaptable with waxing. The fur lined does a very good job keeping wind and ice out my eyes. Again, no notes. In my opinion, it's a must have if you 're serious about exploring the colder parts of earth.

I needed a new winter parka, and was looking for one that would be great for daily use as well as being reasonable to pull on over a suit jacket when I have to make winter trips to the college campus in New England where I work. I tried several, and once I had tried the Nuuk, everything else seemed like a compromise. Being American, I 'm used to right- handed zippers, so the left- side/ European zipper took a bit of getting accustomed, but I was past that in a couple of days, and now it's as easy as any other coat zipper I have. The coat itself is near perfect. Super comfortable, roomy but fits nicely and looks great. I love that I can pull it on over a T- shirt when it's 5 degrees F outside with wind chill well below that and be perfectly comfortable. SO many pockets, and all are very functional. Rain proof, wind proof, tough yet comfortably flexible fabric. Love the hood, and I 've kept the fake fur ruff on as it traps warmth around the face. Love this coat and recommend it without hesitation.
