[ These cycling tights do exactly what they 're supposed to do. The sizing may run a touch small so you may need to size up if you 're on the cusp of sizing. I 'm 5' 2 '' 125 pounds and the small is a tiny bit more snug than I 'd like but they may stretch out over time. I use these for mountain biking and I 'd recommend them for rides 40°F and under. Great quality!

[ This was my first pair of long leggings and I am quite impressed. I have taken them on 3 rides now with padded shorts underneath in temps ranging from the 30s to 50s and have not been either cold or hot and sweaty. Even coming down a cold canyon or 8 miles I did n't feel any wind or breeze on my legs. They fit great and seem very durable.

[ I used them once and I am satisfied. I bought it for winter riding in New York metro area where we have pretty windy days. I tried to go shorts but felt that I could that extra layer running to the very bottom to keep my legs warm. LG FTW!

Frequently Asked Questions For Winter Cycling Apparel

When selecting winter cycling apparel, prioritize features such as insulation, moisture-wicking properties, and wind resistance. Look for materials that provide warmth while allowing for breathability to keep you comfortable during rides. Additionally, consider items with reflective elements for visibility in low-light conditions.

Choosing the right size for winter cycling apparel is crucial for comfort and performance. Refer to the sizing charts provided by the manufacturer, as sizes can vary between brands. It's also beneficial to consider the fit; some cyclists prefer a snug fit for layering, while others may opt for a looser style for added comfort.

Winter cycling apparel typically features materials designed for warmth and moisture management. Common fabrics include thermal fleece, softshells, and synthetic blends that provide insulation while wicking away sweat. Additionally, some items may incorporate windproof or waterproof elements to enhance protection against the elements.

Yes, winter cycling apparel can often be suitable for various outdoor activities such as running, hiking, or cross-country skiing. The insulation and moisture-wicking properties make them versatile for cold weather conditions. However, consider the specific requirements of each activity to ensure optimal performance and comfort.

For optimal performance, winter cycling apparel should fit snugly without being restrictive. This allows for better aerodynamics and reduces wind resistance while still providing enough room for layering underneath. Ensure that the apparel allows for a full range of motion, particularly in the shoulders and legs, to maintain comfort during rides.

Layering winter cycling apparel offers several benefits, including improved insulation and flexibility to adapt to changing weather conditions. By combining base layers, mid-layers, and outer layers, you can effectively manage body temperature and moisture. This approach also allows you to easily adjust your clothing as you warm up during rides or encounter varying temperatures.
