This Calia yoga mat is my favorite. Two best things are its length and grip. I ’ m 5 ’ 8 ” tall so many yoga mats are to short, not this one. I can keep my feet and hands on the matt. I used to be really big into yoga and Pilates which forced me to stretch regularly. Then life happened, my focus changed and I stopped but I missed the stretch. As you can see in my pics my hips are TIGHT. But not for long. Most people use yoga blocks for only yoga poses and forget how helpful they are for stretching. This block is light weight and offers 3 levels of stretch or use. Flat for beginners, side for medium and upright for those with a little more flexibility. I know you are `` supposed '' to wait to `` air it out '' but I could n't. I hopped on and practiced. it felt great. [ So far I 've only used this for one class, but it is not slippery! I go to buti yoga, which is sort of like a combination between cardio and yoga, and I sweat, although I am not a heavy sweater. It involves a lot of downward dogs, and I felt much more stable than I did on my previous mat. My hands felt grounded and did not slide. The mat did seem a bit slick when I first received it, but I read lots of reviews and followed a few suggestions: leaving it out in the sun for a few hours( it was 80 degrees), rubbing a fine grain sandpaper over it( once over, applying a bit of force), and using a heavy duty scotch- brite sponge with some cleaner( I used Mrs. Meyers) before rinsing it off and letting it dry. I maybe spent 10- 15 minutes using the sandpaper and cleaner. And it worked! I am hopeful that this is my soul mat.

I love this Yoga Mat! It's super great for at home workouts. I work out at home 4- 5 times a week. I had another yoga mat that was squishier, but this one is better in more ways. I like that this yoga mat stays in place and does n't slip around while I 'm doing mountain climbers, or other exercises. It's not as squishy when I 'm doing pushups on my knees, but maybe I need to do regular pushups from now on! It's comfortable enough for crunches, but great for yoga as well.

I was slipping and sliding all over the place with my previous mat. With the Manduka PRO Mat, I was calm- cool- and stable. It was wonderful! It is a little slick at first( the protective coating has to wear off), but that will get better with time. I have become a Manduka fanatic after using this mat. FYI- it is a little heavy. I would recommend purchasing a yoga strap or yoga bag to haul this puppy around in.

Ran across this gem at my local GNC store while holiday shopping. Ive recently gotten into yoga via YouTube videos, so i have been practicing on the floor the best i can. This kit will bring things to the next level and allow me to properly work on my flexibility, as well as have the actual block tool used within the training videos. I love this yoga mat. My only complaint is that it's actually 5mm thick. The description says it's 6mm. But the last picture shown you can see that the packaging says it is 5mm, I just did n't notice that when I bought it. I do n't know what's up with that. Other than that I 'm happy with the product.
