Keep in mind that I ’ m a beginner pickleball player that took it up for the first time this summer, so my perspective will be from someone just getting used to pickleball in general. The initial first glance quality of this paddle is pretty high- it ’s beautiful in terms of aesthetics, the grip material on the handle is smooth but still grippy, and the paddle itself is a light sandpaper smooth. It ’s not too heavy that it ’s difficult to hold for long periods of time or too light that it ’s incapable of having some power behind the hits. It feels like the “ just right ” for a beginner player like me that ’s on the smaller side of muscles. I can ’ t speak to whether this is formal professional quality, but as a beginner I ’ m quite pleased with it.

OK, so I 'm a pickleball fanatic... a cross- over after 65 years of playing tennis. I know what it takes to deliver power, spin, and touch from the backcourt, and from the net. I found it all with the Evoke Premier paddle. I purchased the 'heavy' model, which gives my shots that extra pop I want. The surface is nicely textured, and delivers all the spin I can muster. If I could find any room for improvement in the Evoke Premier, it would be the material used for the handle, which can get quite slippery under humid conditions. Some overwrap took care of that. Although this frame has been around for awhile, I highly recommend it.

The Seneca is a great paddle to play with, both as a beginner and an experienced player. The carbon drive surface gives me the feeling of having control over the game. Bought this paddle in Dec 2021 to replace a less expensive paddle my daughter permanently borrowed. I was an advanced beginner at the time. This paddle has grown with me over the months. I am now ranked at 3. 5. I 've tried several other paddles over the months, but none quite delivers in ball control and large sweet spot. This is most helpful up at the net, ball speed, and with shot placement. I also now appreciate the grip which holds up better than most, with no stickiness. I have been switching between playing with 16mm paddles- Apes Pulse V, Joola Hyperion C2 CFS, Honolulu J3k Pro, Gearbox Pro, Thrive Azul, and 11six24. Bought my daughter a Paddletek ALW for Christmas and I like this one better. This 14mm has been a game changer! Control has improved, more than enough power, and very good pop. Handle width is awesome- no need for overwrap, and have had no need for lead. If I had a complaint the spin is mid- tier. Feels similar to the ALW when playing minus some spin but with a better grip. And the edge guard is shiny, but that might be personal preference.
