This one is stylish and plenty warm for short times out in mild winter weather. I normally wear a large in clothing but typically size up in coats so I bought an XL. It fits perfect and I didn ’ t have the sleeve length issue as I saw in other reviews.( Just a note; Id say my arms are normal in length). Simply the best jacket. Super light weight, I never have to worry about sacrificing weight for comfort. I just throw it in my bag now and do n't even think about it. It washes quite well too, as I run it through the ringer at work and camping. The down has not had a problem after about 45 washes with wool balls on regular temps. It's not water proof, but for light rains I have not had to throw on a rain jacket and have not felt that it was damp after.

This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. There is nothing about this jacket that I do n't like. Bravo Carhartt!

This jacket is a light, packable, and comfortable. Perfect for warm weather adventures that just need a little extra layer to block the wind. It packs down into a small pouch that can be tossed in your pack or beach bag for that `` ace in the hole '' when needed. Unlike many competing brands, this jacket is made of a very soft material and does not have the crinkle feeling like you are putting on a trash bag. Also unique to this jacket compared to it's competitor's is that it has front handwarmer pockets as well as a chest pocket( most packable options do not). The pockets in my opinion bring it from just being a quick grab backup plan to an intentionally worn and functional jacket. The chest pocket is a great spot to quickly store your cell phone and the front hand pockets give you that sensation like you just put on your favorite hoodie sweatshirt. I have worn it while hiking mountains during the summer in Maine to hanging out on the beach in Costa Rica on a windy day.

This jacket is extremely comfortable. I 'm 5' 6 '' with broad shoulders and a more or less triangular shape( not a body builder by any stretch, though). The medium fits me perfectly with room to layer. I expect it's long enough for taller people, too. It breaths well, provides good wind protection, and a small amount of protection from precipitation. The first time I tried running in this jacket, the hood flopped annoyingly into my field of view. I have since discovered that you can just fold the brim back once or twice to tighten up the fit. This may look a little wonky, but it works beautifully, and it's the only option, since there's no drawstring adjustment on the hood. It's very nice to have hand- warmer pockets, which many wind shells omit.

I bought this to try out in spring/summer in Washington and it is fantastic. It's super light weight but does a great job at blocking the wind and light rain. The fit is trim but not overly loose( I got a large with a 41 '' chest, 6', 188 lbs). It has quickly become my go to windbreaker and has replaced my Arc'teryx Squamish hoody. Definitely worth the buy!

I 'm so happy with this windbreaker! It's super lightweight but really does cut down on the wind. The fit is very flattering. And more importantly, it has hand pockets! That may not seem like a big deal, but I 've been disappointed with numerous other lightweight windbreakers on the market that do n't have hand pockets. The pockets are zippered too. Was looking for a high- visibility running jacket similar to the Patagonia Houdini Air( wind resistance+ breathability). I have both the regular Houdini( size L) and Houdini Air( M). Keeping this in M. FIT: I 'm 5' 1, 150 lbs, 34DD, round belly. With a Smartwool 250 baselayer or a thin long- sleeved cotton t, fit is close to the body, but not tight( Houdinis run much slimmer); pretty forgiving of my belly:) Perfect length for me, falling around mid- hip; Houdinis are longer, falling below my butt. FEEL/FUNCTION: I 've worn this for multiple runs( incl. light rain, strong wind). This feels somewhere in- between the Houdinis in terms of wind- blocking and breathability. V. light rain beaded on the surface of the jacket, but left a mark when smushed into the fabric. Material is a matte, slightly stretchy, more fabric- y( vs. plastic- y) material- like a slightly thicker/heavier Air. Hood fits over thick pony- tail securely when fully zipped, and stays in strong wind. Doubles as a running and casual jacket better than the Houdinis due to a more forgiving fit around the mid- section( for looser- fitting street clothes), shorter length( more flattering for my short stature), and zippered side pockets. Packs down small enough for an upcoming 2. 5 week trip to Europe( 24L bag). COLOR: Azalea appears neon coral in the pictures, which is what originally attracted me. Unfortunately, it actually is not neon at all, and is more like a salmon pink that leans more pink than orange. It is slightly see- through. LOVE the green( Grove) colorway- something about the color+ matte fabric texture+ matching zippers makes it look SO smooth and rich and clean. Very light weight. Packing compressed it a lot and it took a couple days for it to expand out. My first time wearing it was in 30 degrees and it kept me very warm. I am 5' 6 '' and a large was a good fit for me, especially for arm length. I am a little concerned about longevity because of how light weight it is, but time will tell on that. Material and stitching are top notch and the jacket is very comfortable to wear. I HATE the feeling of gortex and this has more of silky feel inside and out, which is perfect. For a general use winter jacket this is perfect.

I love in Colorado so this is perfect for year round use because it's lightweight, will keep you dry in a light rain, is just warm enough, and I love the thumb holes. I love this hoodie. It has a roomy and relaxed fit so you can pile on the layers underneath if you want or, just enjoy it as a sick hoodie. The hood itself is also oversized and fits nicely over a winter hat. It is not 100% waterproof but then again I was wearing it in rain, not snow. It performs great in snow. [ I have a couple of these hoodies and I love them for outdoor activity. The material is light enough to wear when it's hot, but just wind- blocking enough to be good for a slight chill. The sun protection is top notch with the thumb- loop sleeves and hood, and the pockets are perfect for whatever small items I need to take on the trail/run. The one downside is that due to the pockets these can be a bit harder to wear under something else.
