Got fit for this driver and bought it. Per the results of my fitting, I have the settings down to a 9. 5° loft(- 1° draw setting), and have the 12g weight in the heel and the 3g weight in the back of the club. During my very first round, my slice is nearly gone. My drives are flying much straighter. But the biggest improvement I saw was the misses are nowhere near as bad. Instead of huge slices, the Cobra Darkspeed Max minimizes those greatly to baby fades that miss just right of the fairway in the first cut if you do happen to miss right. Very happy with the results after just one round. I ’ m going to invest in the Cobra Darkspeed Fairway Woods& Hybrid as well.

Over the last tear and a half I have been switching drivers and shafts to find something that can keep my spin and launch in check but also deliver consistency. This is the first driver that has done that for me. I was playing the paradym triple diamond before this and while it kept spin low it would also have left hooks that died out of the air if i was even a fraction into the high toe side. This cobra driver if I catch it in the toe the spin still stays in the 1800- 2000 and holds the line reasonably well. This is definitely the best most forgiving low spin driver i have tried.

I recently purchased a xxio 13 driver with a stiff shaft. I hit it great at the demo but not so much after:-) I saw this driver on sale because it was last years model and I have played Cobra before so I bought it after reading some reviews. This thing is amazing! I read reviews that said it was n't forgiving, boy are they wrong. I am a 21 handicap and I have had a few mishits and the ball still flies straight and long. I am also impressed with the Lin Q shaft it is easy to swing and it really stable. On top of that it looks awesome and sets up nice at address. If you looking for a great driver look no further.

I 've only had the driver for a couple of weeks and I 'm still dialing it in. I had been playing with a 11- year- old TaylorMade driver and thought it was time for an upgrade. Tried a bunch of different drivers a couple months ago and I hit the TSR4 the best by far which was surprising because it ’s supposed to be the least forgiving of the Titleist drivers. It ’s been longer and more accurate than my TSI2. On average it ’s about 15 yards longer due to lower spin and my longest drives are about 25- 30 yards farther than my longest drives with the TSI2.

I first set foot on a golf course in 1995 at Nevis and the fellow I was flying for rented me a set of Callaway's. Since then, I have wanted a custom set of Callaway clubs. Last year I bought a complete custom set of irons, pitching and sand wedges with a three wood. I 'm seventy and this year could only get 140 yards out of my thirty- year- old driver. The experience I had with the Callaway three wood made me think I may do better with a new driver, so I bought the Star for its light weight. I 'm now driving 170 yards but that is n't the best part. It is very easy to hit good drives with this club. I 'm not topping balls or making other miss hits like I used to with the old driver and that alone removes strokes and adds yards to my game. I have played with the new driver twice and last time out I broke 100 for the first time. I enjoy my Callaway clubs very much and the Star driver has changed my world. It's worth every penny and more.

I bought this driver after testing out 16 drivers. I love the feel and how the ball comes off the face. With my old driver I was consistently carrying about 225 or 230 and rolling out to 250 on my best day. With this I consistently carry 255- 260 and roll out at 270- 285. I am straighter and longer with this driver.

For the last 5 years I have been using a Cleveland Launcher( MFG date 2003?) and I hit it extremely well. My golf buddy recently bought a Cobra F9 and asked me to try it and to my astonishment I drove the ball farther with his club than I do with my own club SO I started looking for a newer driver. This Srixon looked like it was the closest match to the Cleveland Launcher. I was a little concerned when it arrived because the shaft is stiffer than the Fukishira stiff shaft on my Launcher but, those concerns disappeared the very first drive I used this Srixon on- my golf league started on the back 9 and I nearly drove the 10th hole!! That first drive was right on the sweet spot. Other drives that weren ’ t quite on the sweet spot were still impressive. Tee the ball high( I use marked blue tees) and you won ’ t be disappointed.

I ’ ve always had Callaways. Last one I ’ ve had for 15 years. Every couple of years I would try the newest model in the simulator and would see a gain of about 5- 10 yards but not nearly as consistent as I was with my old one so I couldn ’ t justify spending the money. This year I decided it was time. My old one has cracks and started to sound different. Of course my first choice was the Callaways but the fitter convinced me to try the TaylorMade and man, am I glad he did! For whatever reason the TaylorMade just seemed to fit my eye. Plus the distances were comparable to the Callaways but I was much more consistent. Only had it for 2 weeks so I ’ m still getting used to it but my consistency and distances continue to improve each time out.

I really enjoyed the STZ- 230, but decided to give the Max a try and it is really a step up in terms of distance, forgiveness and dispersion. I was blown away from my first strike with this driver. Mizuno irons are always a great choice, but more people should give this Driver a shot and you will not be disappointed. It is on par with the major OEMs, if not a tick better IMO. I have played 3 rounds with this driver and it performed as expected. A good swing and a near center contact point delivered over 20 extra yards for me and more forgiveness. Only negatives I have so far are a tendency to miss left and the harsh sound at contact( I have gotten use to that now). I believe an adjustment to my loft from 10. 5 to 10 or 9. 5 should fix my left issues. Overall, the Mizuno ST- MAX 230 driver delivers on distance and forgiveness.
