The Flex Mount helped me out on a big way. I ’ ve had a tree limb knock the camera off the tree and a bear tore it down breaking the belt loops built on to the back of the camera. The Flex Mount let me place the camera back on the tree with added adjustment left/right and up/down. I ’ ll be purchasing more for my other cameras.

This tripod has been absolutely flawless and is light weight. The only draw back I could see is the height if you are taller and want to stand. I used it with a Viper spotting scope and mostly sit while glassing. I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ’ ’ and have no issues standing but that is close to the limit. As far as the legs go, if you turn the locking mechanism the wrong direction they are a bear but that is totally user error. I have done it once but was able to feel it by turning it back the correct direct. Ours get used about 300 days a year at home and 14 days on western hunts.

I bought this about 6 months ago to bring my camera backpacking and absolutely loved it. Attached to my pack ’s shoulder strap and the clip performed well over 35 miles of rigorous hiking. Even with a larger lens, it was stable the entire time and so smooth to unclip which was very important to me when I ’ d have< 5 seconds to get a shot off when encountering wildlife. This is easily one of the best purchases I ’ ve made in years!

The capture clip is what got me hooked on Peak Designs. It is easily one of the best designed products for it's intended purpose. My camera slips into place so easily it feels like it's just magically hanging in place. Despite being so easy to use, I 've never worried about it's security. I use it for years with no complains. I usually attach it to my backpack ’s strap when I use two camera bodies in city trips or when I go for a forest hike and I need my teo hands. I ’ ve used it with various backapacks and camera bodies. From small Fujis to Leica SL, had no problem. Huge bodies could cause unballance. For example I tried with GFX 50S and it wasn ’ t comfortable. I can imagine it ’s same with cameras with built in grip. With normal full frame and smaller bodies I can recommend it. The attachment/detachment process works well especially if you have fixed the capture a bit tilted towards your body. Ir helps you to pull out the camera easier. The build quality is super, it is very solid.
