As a smaller sized gal, I 've struggled with daypacks feeling too big and bulky. The 18L was my goldilocks and is such a great size for a casual hike or wandering around town! There are not a lot of pockets, but I actually prefer a simple pack. My favorite part of the pack is the chest and hip straps that make the bag easily adjustable.

This pack is the perfect trail companion! I 've gotten to take it out both XC skiing and on some winter hikes and it's the perfect size for an extra layer, snacks, first aid kit, and any other gear you might need on the trail. I love the magnet strip on the water bladder that nicely holds the bladder straw in space when not using it, and easy to drink out of while on the trail. The pockets are well thought out and easily accessible. I do wish the side water bottle pockets were a little larger to fit my nalgene, but definitely not a dealbreaker since it has the integrated bladder.

[ I love this pack! Perfect size for a full day out of summiting or ice climbing. Plenty of room to add gear for whatever conditions the mountain decides to throw at you. You definitely get a perfect fit based on the provided adjustments and the feel if the pack distributes the weight beautifully to not weigh you down so that your energy isn ’ t spent by the weight. The fit is part of you so when you are calculating every move on a ridge thousands of feet up, you don ’ t have to worry about your pack. This pack hits it for me in every way for my mountains, cliffs, frozen waterfall needs and the Mars Orange is awesome! Climb on!

[ I haven ’ t used it on a hike yet, but I must say I really like this pack. It seems to be toe perfect size for what I need. I did add some shock cord with cord locks to the top and front daisy chain loops. Just to add some quick storage if needed. It is very comfortable once adjusted to my torso size. I hope to get out on a wi get hike with it soon!

[ My new Kestrel 38 is a replacement for my old Kestrel 38, which I thoroughly wore out, trekking through the Himalayas, Andes, Pyrenees and here at home in the North Cascades. The pack fits perfectly and carries comfortably, not to mention how good looking it is.

I originally bought this pack to walk the Camino de Santiago France, 500 miles. But, it was too tall to use as a carry on bag on the airline. I did train with it and walked a lot of miles through mountains, etc.. Very comfortable and well designed. Everything functions well.

I ’ ve taken this backpack to two different 30 day trips. And I have been through every single situation, terrain( minus snow), 10+ flights( a few made made check in bag) camped, hiked, walked through beaches, visited hostels. Hours in airports and this backpack is A beast. I stuff the heck out of this bag. It packs like a 50L. The top most pocket is so big. Can fit a toiletry bag and more. Still looks new, quality is superb. Passport fits perfectly in hip pockets and snacks and earbud case. Very light and comfortable. My bag was roughly 25- 40 pounds at all times. Perfect for long trips( 10+ days)

When selecting an all terrain backpack, consider features such as water resistance, durability, and ample storage capacity. Look for adjustable straps and a comfortable harness system to ensure a good fit during various activities. Additionally, pockets for organization and hydration compatibility can enhance your experience on the trail.
All terrain backpacks are typically made from durable materials like nylon or polyester, which offer resistance to wear and tear. Some may also feature waterproof coatings or breathable mesh for added comfort and protection. Understanding the materials can help you choose a backpack that meets your specific outdoor needs.
All terrain backpacks are versatile and can be used for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, and day trips. They are designed to handle rough terrains, making them ideal for both short excursions and longer adventures. Their adaptability allows you to carry essential gear comfortably, regardless of the activity.
Choosing the right size all terrain backpack depends on the length of your trips and the amount of gear you plan to carry. For day hikes, a smaller pack may suffice, while multi-day trips will require a larger capacity. Consider your body size and the fit of the backpack to ensure comfort and stability during your activities.
Comfort in an all terrain backpack is influenced by factors such as weight distribution, padding, and adjustability. Look for backpacks with padded shoulder straps and a supportive back panel to reduce strain during long hikes. Additionally, features like ventilation can help keep you cool and comfortable on warmer days.
