I bought these shoes at a local running store and I am in love with them! I never thought I could love a tennis shoe more. I bought them specifically for my job. I am a graphic designer most of the time but there are a few times a year that I am a photographer for my work and one is for a week at a time. It ’s about 4 hours of constant walking, bending, crouching and stretching which is not the norm for me. Last year I developed pain in my lower back that I had for many weeks after the event week was done and the event was a struggle to do well. I knew I couldn ’ t do that to myself this year and I know it ’s because of my shoe choice. I like back at my average step total for last years event was significantly lower than this year because I ’ m not in pain! My last two pairs of shoes have been the Adrenaline21 so this was a step forward for me( pun intended!). Instantly felt both familiar and comfortable. I love the colour way of Zephyr Blue Coconut- just the right amount of pop! It ’s going to take me just a bit to get used to the slightly different laces- they are flat and don ’ t have as much stretch in them as the 21s. I run 5 to 10km three times a week on flat roads and these shoes are feeling great- light and supportive.

Absolutely love these shoes! I am a physical therapist and a farm girls so I am on my feet a lot. I have nerve damage in my feet and these are the only shoes I have found that I can wear without my custom orthotics. I also have plantar fasciitis and they work well for the condition for me. I have had other styles of brooks and I have had to use my orthotics in them, if I do then I have to size up a half size, but with these I can wear my normal size. Thanks brooks!! I love these shoes! I had two pairs of the 5s. The rubber did come off on the bottom the first week but I superglued it back on. I hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc in these babies and they did great! Love the extra cushioning and durability. Will definitely buy them again for my next long hike. The extra cushioning prevented any foot pain. [ Altra gave me a free pair of Olympus 6 shoes to test and review. At first, I found them a bit tight and bulky, with a snug toe box that caused some rubbing on my pinky toe during the initial runs. I only had the issue with the right shoe. For context, I typically wear a women's 8. 5W or a men's 7. 5D in running shoes. However, 8. 5 regular in the Lone Peaks fit great. I noticed that the toe box of the Olympus 6 felt narrower compared to the Lone Peaks, but wearing lightweight socks helped alleviate this issue. After running and hiking over 100 miles in the last 4 weeks on various terrains, I was surprised by how well these shoes performed. During a 16- mile trail run in the Porcupine Mountains, my feet did n't feel as tired as they usually do, thanks to the extra cushioning. The Vibram® Megagrip soles came in handy and prevented potential slips on loose gravel, muddy, and slippery trails. If you 're considering longer, technical trail runs, I highly recommend the Olympus 6.

[ I have been using the Altra Olympus 6 for hiking, running, and fastpacking. This is my first time trying a full- cushion trail shoe, but I have been road running in the Altra Torin for about 6 years. After about 25 miles of mixed terrain, weather and landscapes, I feel this shoe excels in climbing and tackling dry, loose terrain. I felt stable and powerful sprinting up sandy hillsides and dusty singletrack. The shoe absorbs the impact of large gravel, and bites into turns well. I slid around a bit on large wet roots and slick rocks under the stiff midfoot but recovered quickly and happily traded that for the protection from sharp obstacles. The high stack kept my feet dry when encountering mud and puddles, while the well ventilated upper kept me comfortable on long, hot days. The contoured form around the Achilles took a little getting used to, but it worked to lock my heel on ascents; no hot spots. Laces stay tied. Altra gave me this free product to try, and I 'm looking forward to putting many more miles on it.

My go to every day shoe. They are super versatile and comfy. I wear these to work with jeans, skirts, athleisure style slacks- they go with everything. I personally love the chunky look of them and the white leather makes them more fashion- forward and versatile. I 'm a new runner with and I did a lot of research to try to find the perfect pair. These are it! I do n't have much to compare them to as these are my first 'real' running shoes, but these are pretty wonderful for my specific issues. I have narrow heels/ankles, bunionettes( pinkie toe), and hypermobile feet and ankles that cause me to really overpronate, so I was looking for shoes that had a wide toe box, narrow heel, and lots of support. The super wide base is great for stability, I no longer feel like my feet are constantly wobbling. I did n't realise how much effort I was putting into just landing on my foot correctly until I did n't have to do it anymore. The shape of the foam also really makes me feel like I 'm being propelled. For reference, I 'm largely a forefoot striker, but I think these would work for heel strikers too. In non- running shoes I 'm an 8- I got 9 and they fit great.

These are my comfiest Ryka's and I own several pairs of Ryka's in different styles. By comfy I mean soft and cushiony. These are not extremely supportive like Hokas which can be stiff. I walk over a mile to and from work on city sidewalks and am up and about all day. These shoes help keep me moving.

The Devoted Walking Sneaker's design is brilliant. At first, you think, what's with this toebox! The width feels just right but the fabric top is oddly roomy with airspace above your toes. The fabric is not stretched tightly, so it's a bit loose. Your toes can move. Toe bumps are n't rubbed. PLUS the heel is snug. So, when you lace up, your feet stay put and do n't shift around. The snug heel plus roomy toebox mean your metatarsals do n't get pinched or achy. ALL THIS, PLUS the shoe bed is super comfortable with incredible cushioning front and back. For me, the cushioning is so good that I do n't even need my custom orthotics for bad metatarsals, something I 've required for 30 years. fyi my other favorite Ryka model for daily use is Devotion X Walking Shoe, which provides a fit that's more tailored with fabulous cushioning, also no orthotics needed. I wear my Rykas for everyday/all day use, long walks, and driving( 5- on- the- floor w/ firm clutch).

I love these shoes! I have long and narrow feet and usually have to buy men's shoes which are too wide for me. These are nice and snug in the heel, but are roomy at the toes. They are well constructed and I think will last a long time. The arch support that comes in the shoe is supportive and I do n't have to add any sort of insole

[ These are great hiking shoes by Danner. Good arch support and lots of room in the toe area. I walk 25 miles a week in the hills on pavement. I 've had issues with my feet in the past, but not in these shoes. My feet feel great after wearing all day. I love them so much, I bought another pair. I wear an 8. 5 in a shoe, but wear a 9 in these shoes as with most athletic shoes.

[ Some reviewers mentioned these fit snuggly, so I was cautious because I do have quite wide feet. I 'm glad I took the risk because though I do find it helps to make use of a shoe horn to ease putting them on, with thin running socks they fit just right! Snug but not too tight. I have arthritic knees, and these have the perfect combination of cushion and stability for walking on a variety of terrain, from light hiking trails to gravel to sidewalk. I had wished for different color options, but when they arrived I found the salmon color quite striking, so I 'm quite pleased with that in the end too.

[ Having spent many dollars on shoes to use for short to moderate hikes I am thrilled to have discovered the Danner brand and this particular shoe. I tried other brands, Merrell, Keen, Columbia, and all either hurt or gave me blisters so I continued to go back to a comfortable pair of 10 yr old Skechers which had many miles on them. I love the max cushion in New Balance Fresh Foam running shoes, both the 1080 and the More. I literally tried on at least five other of the most popular running shoe brands and none compare in the soft squishy feel of the cushion. Hands down these are the best. The More is a little bulkier than the 1080s so I would prefer these for training instead of racing. The biggest downside to the More is that they have little to no drop, so I feel Achilles pain on some runs.
