I 've worn these a few times a month for about five months now and I 'm impressed by their waterproof ability. Recently I had to work for several hours out in the rain and every layer I was wearing ended up soaked- but my socks and feet stayed dry! Having been a life- long Doc wearer I found these to be very comfortable. Minimal breaking in( at least for me). If you wear thick socks so for a half size larger, otherwise normal and sports socks may feel a little tight when you first put the boots on but losses up when breaking in.

These fit my feet perfectly. The toe box is typically where i struggle with hiking boots- blisters and pain of the great toe and medial ball of foot. Even while breaking these in I did not experience either of these issues. Red Wings Heritage Classic Moc are THEE best boots. I now own 4 pairs and they are so comfortable. Yes, they are hard in the beginning but over time they soften and mold to your feet. I love the extra inch on the bottom because I am short which is very helpful. I wear them pretty much everyday and I am on my feet for 10- 12 hours a day. I work in the restaurant industry and I am in and out checking on the stores. These boots are always dirty with grease& food stains but nothing like a little wet rag and polish to make them brand new again. Just sent in my oldest pair to get re- soled and currently rotating with the other three with my daily use. My only complaint is how dirty the soles get. I need a better solution to clean or keep them clean. 100000% recommend!

To be precise, I measure 23cm so technically a 6, and after going up a whole size, I found that they ’ ll be okay to wear with thinner socks( especially once I break them in). I ’ ve been wearing these boots for about a month now and have nothing but great things to say. I would recommend these to anyone. I don ’ t have a particularly wide foot but I like to wiggle my toes a lot and the toe box has plenty of space for that. I used their online foot sizer with my foot as flat as possible and my toes spread out as wide as I could get them and was recommended a 9. 5 wide, they fit perfectly. Very well made. You can tell they are individually crafted in an old school manner and not just spat out in mass numbers and I love that. The leather is heavy duty and beautiful, I get compliments on them wherever I go.

They are extremely comfortable to stand in all day they feel like they are still breaking in. Extremely satisfied with these boots though there do run extremely big. I listened to the advice of friends that said the break- in period was worth the end result, and they were right. For the first couple of weeks after wearing them all day my heels would hurt, but since I wore them everyday and broke them in as quickly as I could they are the most comfortable boots I 've ever had.

After the first week they started feeling better and now 3 weeks in I ’ m wearing them everyday. Feel great. The copper rough and tough was great visually for me, but they ’ re actually tough too. I ’ ve already accidentally scuffed them a few times, and it sort of just blends in with character. Don ’ t recommend them for marathons or hiking, but for normal daily work or just casual wear, I highly recommend. Sizing- get whatever feels snug, not tight enough to make your toes go numb. I ’ m almost just over 10. 5 on the Brannock. I got a 10 at the recommendation from the store. Should ’ ve done a 10. 5. The 10 ’s work but I prefer a looser fit. Will do a 10. 5 next time- yes I like them enough I ’ ll get another pair eventually to baby for only weekend wear.

I got a pair of these three years ago, and my relationship with them got off to a rough start. Full disclosure, I ’ ve recently come to realize my feet are unusually shaped — with protruding heals. That didn ’ t bode well for wearing these boots out of the box. They have triple- layered heals, which are quite rigid and caused me many blisters. Because of the blistering, I wore these seldomly and broke them in very slowly. Over time, however, they molded to my feet, and the heal area stretched out to accommodate my knobby heals. They ’ re now my favorite footwear, and truly a pleasure to wear. Was it worth all the pain? Considering I ’ ll have these boots for many years — if not decades — I say yes. The same tough leather and heavy- duty construction that made these so hard to break in will also make them last forever. In this day and age of cheap, mass- produced goods, it ’s nice to commit to something for the long- haul — even if it requires some sacrifice initially. I ’ m excited to keep wearing these boots, have them further mold to my feet, and keep adding patina to them.

I bought mine almost 3 years ago and they 're the most comfortable and useful footwear I 've ever owned. I wear them 95% of the time, on daily 2+- 4 km dog walks, outdoors, year- round and they 're at their peak look and feel. The single possible improvement I made- and that's on me because we have 4 months of winter here- is to replace the soles; the originals are quite tricky on frozen ground. Or a great workout, just watch your head yeah? I chose Vibram, a quick fix and better suited for that.

Let me start off by saying I am a true 6. 5, never a 6 and very super rarely a 7. I used their size chart and measuring guide and found that I fell between the 6. 5/7 so I decided to size up and I 'm glad I did. I have just enough room around my toe in the box, and my heel has just enough space to move until they really get soft and cozy. I also have bunionettes, and sizing up with a regular width is definitely giving them some room. They are very comfortable on my feet. I purchased the black, and I am very pleased with how beautiful these boots are. Much prettier in person than the picture. I decided to buy a new pair of winter boots since my previous pair( from a different brand) kept giving me blisters. One of my professors used to be a Timberland exec and he always raved about the quality of the shoes, so I decided to try them out. I ordered 2 different styles of winter boots, each in 2 sizes. I did n't love the roll- top boots, so those promptly got returned. I ended up keeping the size 9 of the 6 '' waterproof-- the boots had a clean look and the leather is well sewn and finished, I 've worn them to work and they do n't look out of place with my button- up shirt and slacks. The boots feel a little heavy while wearing them, but honestly I prefer that since they feel more durable and rugged. I 've since worn the boots both with and without thick winter socks and had no problems. They were comfortable from Day 1 and have n't given me blisters. My biggest gripe is that the shoelaces are too short- even when I lace the boots as tightly as possible, I am left with maybe 3- 4 '' of lace to tie with. The 6 '' roll- top boots I returned had longer laces than these despite having a similar style, so this was a disappointment.

I absolutely love these boots, so much so I have purchased 3 pairs. When I worn out my first pair of these boots, I went to order another pair and Carhartt was out of stock and did not have an availability date at that time. I have a wide foot and this boot is available in a wide size. This does not require any break in period. So when I saw that Carhartt brought back this boot in my size I bought 2 pairs.

I bought these boots for my birthday over a year ago. They are literally like walking on clouds. I was shocked at how light weight they were. Comfortable from minute one of putting them on! I wear them almost daily in the winter and all through the fall. I came to the website today hoping they were on a black Friday sale because I want a second pair before they discontinue them! Only pair NOT on sale. Sad day for me! Lol For those of you who have not had the pleasure of owning a pair of these boots, I 'm normally a size 9 to 9. 5 in regular shoes. The 8. 5 in these fit perfectly. But them!!! Even at full price, totally worth it!

I ’ ve been buying this style boot for the past 4 years now. I live on a farm with cows, pigs, sheep, chickens and horses. I wear these boots to do literally everything in. They are comfortable, and still stylish enough to clean up and wear with some jeans. I wear them until they are worn out, usually last me about a year/year and a half. Then I order another pair. Absolutely love these boots! Recently I bought a pair of ariat work boots, thought I ’ d try something different. I didn ’ t care for how the boot fit my foot, or that they didn ’ t really break in at all. Had them for two months and came right back to my Durango ’s. Well worth what you pay for them.

I ’ ve had these boots for years and not only is the insole great for an active, running 16 year old. but it also has very good grip when I have to shovel long icy driveways. I have hiked in Colorado mountains, Appalachians, and many other places and they have stood up for me. I ’ d recommend them to anyone! And my weight fluctuates a lot. So if you think you are a little to big for these, your wrong these shoes are tough.
