I 've gotten to take it out both XC skiing and on some winter hikes and it's the perfect size for an extra layer, snacks, first aid kit, and any other gear you might need on the trail. I love the magnet strip on the water bladder that nicely holds the bladder straw in space when not using it, and easy to drink out of while on the trail. The pockets are well thought out and easily accessible. I do wish the side water bottle pockets were a little larger to fit my nalgene, but definitely not a dealbreaker since it has the integrated bladder.

[ I got the Daylite Plus to act as a compliment to my Farpoint 40 for travel. I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

[ This pack was a long day hike upgrade for me and I chose it for 2 reasons. First was the Airspeed suspension which definitely keeps your back cool. Second was longer torso length. ` I am a 50 year old occasional hiker who has n't had a new pack since college. Just spent 3 days hiking in the Catskills with this pack on my back for 7- 8 hours a day and I love it. Plenty of space and super comfortable. I barely noticed I was even carrying a pack, had zero shoulder or back strain, and like the frame that allows for some airflow through the back area- a big plus hiking in 80+ degree weather. Never had to use the internal rainfly, but that was definitely a selling point for me. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love this bag as our personal item( as long as it's not overstuffed, it fits easily under the seat) to bring our toddler's plane snacks, toys, tablet, and other travel essentials along with a smattering of items we want to keep on us instead of checking through. The bag is adequately sized for all hikes and most short camping trips. Despite its relatively small size, it boasts a number of impressive features. Firstly, this bag has a small plastic internal frame to provide structure. The frame is lightweight, yet sturdy enough for a fully packed bag. Because of the frame's assistance with weight distribution, everything felt lighter on my back. This bag also has many different pockets and straps for varied packing strategies. The straps on the bottom of the bag are perfect for a sleeping bag, ground mat, or small tent. Underneath those straps is a small pocket that holds an included rain cover to keep your bag totally dry during heavy rain. There is also a pocket on top of the bag for any small items you may need to access on the go, without opening or unpacking the rest of the bag. Finally, there is a pocket for a hydration bladder, so you can stay hydrated as you move. Some other useful features are the emergency whistle on the chest strap, the included strap management bungees( so those leftover strap ends after adjustment are n't hanging everywhere), and the water bottle pockets on the sides. Overall, I would give this product a 5/5. Met or exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend this bag to anybody who is a frequent camper or hiker.

This bag is great and a level up from a duffle bag I ’ ve been using for years from another brand. I love all the pockets and how everything stays organized. My friend has the same style bag but the smaller version, we both have experienced a hitch on the zipper on the top right side of the bag. It must be close to where some strong seams come together on the inside of the bag, it makes it difficult to open/close in that one spot every time- even if the pack isn ’ t super full. That is my only complaint, and it ’s just a small design flaw, otherwise a great bag.

Still getting used to it but currently on a trip in Italy with this backpack. At first it seems like you need to lay it flat to access or put away anything. However, when on the go, you can just open the zippers on the top to access the different departments, and by only opening the zipper on the top, I was able to create another pocket and start using it like a normal backpack, just throwing things in there instead of opening another zipper. All in all really nice quality. I picked the option where they just give you any color and I ’ m really pleased with it. I 'm fairly petite and often find backpacks are too big for me... this pack fits great( I ordered a couple different packs and this is the one I kept). I specifically bought it for a trip to Europe to use on the plane and when out and about. It fit everything I needed and I appreciated the multiple pockets for organizing. Only one of the side pockets will hold a water bottle since one is too short( 24oz owala fit perfect, 32oz hydro flask was a tighter fit). I liked how the zippers for the largest two compartments could hide behind the water bottle to be less conspicuous while traveling and I was also able to use a small cable lock on them. My 15 '' hp laptop does n't fit in the laptop pocket inside the pack, but does fit loose in the main compartment.

[ We just got hit pretty much back- to- back by Helene and Milton, and this made a great go- bag to evacuate from the hurricanes! It ’s very well built and easy to carry, there ’s plenty of room for evacuation essentials, and all of my stuff stayed dry! All sorts of camping and survival supplies are very popular here in hurricane country — even though I don ’ t know of a single person who actually voluntarily goes camping around here! The only thing I wish I could change about the bag is the color! I really wanted a hot pink, or at least a bright neon orange or yellow! Still, the red and yellow is considerably more visible than the basic black. I received the correct item, in good condition, in a decent amount of time. The packaging was frankly ridiculous, though! It ’s very flat and took up minimal room, even without rolling it up – so there was no reason to send it in a massive cardboard box the size of a golf bag, for goodness sakes!

I like the white interior for finding gear and the quality of the bag seems durable overall. The straps themselves aren ’ t the most comfortable when your bag gets heavier but for my portages I ’ m never wearing the pack for much more than an hour between paddles. I would personally prefer a bit of extra bulk and weight if that was the compromise to have a slightly more padded shoulder.

This daypack is a well- rounded minimal travel daypack. One large compartment that is expandable. Folds down flat so it can be packed. Comes with a couple of well placed straps for compression and stability( sternum strap). The bottom is made of a more durable material. It's not too hard to pack and make this backpack stand on its own. Looks great too! Small con: bottle side pockets can be hard to use if pack is full. Maybe stretchy side pockets would work better. Would suggest Fjallraven team explore two- tone color options in the future.

I grabbed this with the intention of it being an addition to my bike set up. I was torn between this bag and the Abisko Hike Foldsack but decided upon this one because it rolls up and can easily store on my bike during transit. On my way home with groceries I can unroll it and wo n't have to worry about stuffing everything into my handle bar bag. Overall I am biased to say I love all Fjallraven items and have not purchased anything from them that has let me down.
