My husband rides frequently… barehanded… and for years i have suggested he wear a helmet for his benefit and he was always quick to remind me i dont wear a helmet. I personally rarely ride and have not owned a helmet in over a decade although i wear one when i rollerblade. I finally decided to stop asking last year and let him live his life. This summer after a close call with a tree branch i started wearing my skate helmet when we rode together few months back I noticed about the same time a blue lazer tempo in the garage with the bike stuff and wondered what it was doing there. This past weekend we were going on a ride and i was shocked to see my husband wearing it. He said it was a great fit and plenty well vented. I tried it and agree. I am going to get the same helmet but in maroon.

The first thing you notice is the interesting packaging. This is one product you must read the instructions. While it took some time learning how to `` install it, '' it was comfortable, and its weight could barely be felt. I would have given it five stars, but for the chin strap securing feature. The `` latch and clip '' takes some doing to secure. I would think a better securing method could be used.

This is my fourth Forefront helmet. They fit perfectly never get too hot and are light and durable. The only parts that are subject to wear and tear are the pads. They do a great job of resisting sweat but eventually after drenching them a few hundred times they succumb.( I am amazed at how long they last given what ’s tossed at them, but wish I could buy replacements.

As a nurse I naturally worry about my husband ’s and my own well being. I have never been big on helmets as they usually give me a headache so when we ride we wear ballcaps to protect against the sun. My husband likes to ride alone and of course i worry about him while he is riding by himself. I always make sure he is wearing his hat and a bright shirt and tell him to be careful. Sometimes i add he should be extra cautious since he doesn ’ t have a helmet which is ironic since i dont have one either. Recently when he was headed out for a ride i gave him the normal sendoff talk and he said he had something he wanted to show me and pulled out a yellow lazer codex helmet. I was really surprised and a bit excited as i had secretly wished he would wear a helmet. Afterwards he told me the helmet was really nice and it made him feel safe. I tried it on and took a short ride in the neighborhood and did not get a headache and it was light and airy. I am not a fan of the yellow but will get myself a helmet now as well.

While i previously did not own a helmet my wife had a helmet that she would Periodically wear. Mostly she wore it when biking with her parents, who wear helmets. It was white and very plain with few vents was likely the first helmet ever made. I actually think it is older than she is, probably a hand me down a from a much older sibling who likely never wore it. Not only is it heavy, it has a white foam interior and an impossible to adjust buckle land looks pretty dated. When she wears it she does not have much to say good or bad. When we would ride just the two of us she almost never wears it. Occasionally when I would ride alone she would remind me that i was more than welcomed to wear her helmet. i did end up wearing it for some additional protection last fall when there were wet leaves. It was actually nice peace of mind however it was of poor fit and I was terrified that was the way all helmets fit and did not pursue getting one of my own. This past weekend i was going out on a long ride and my wife handed it too me saying “ it will make me feel better ”. So of course i wore it. I forgot it was on and did not duck low enough under a tree branch and hit it hard enough that it broke. when I returned home from a ride i told her i broke her helmet and suggested i would get her a new one. I found the kineticore in white at public lands and bought it. I tried it on and was impressed with how it fit. My wife couldn ’ t believe how much better it was than the old. it is so well vented light and comfortable you she forgets she has it on. My wife is now asking when i will get my own. This review is for anyone with a large and round head. If you are looking for a round fit helmet this is it. My head is 64cm and this helmet in XL was a perfect fit for me. The helmet did n't pinch the sides of my head. Hope this helps anyone who's looking for a round fit helmet. I think this helmet definitely runs a little bigger than stated.
