Over all I love these boots, light, easy on and off, great grip with stud, and they have help up well. My only criticism is the web shoe lace eyes seen to be a little light. They have started to fray a little and one of them has torn through. I would have given a 4 1/2 but couldn ’ t, they are still a great boot.

I spend more time on foot than in the boat so I was after a boot that would be durable and sturdy across land as much as in the water. The M's Flyweight are performing well in this regard. The sole is remarkably `` sticky '' so far and inspires a lot of confidence in stability. I ca n't imagine what they 'd be like with cleats! They are a boot so they do have a bit of heft to them, but relative to other boots I have used these are pretty light.

I needed a pair of non- felt- bottom wading boots for a New Zealand trip and the first pair I ordered were too large. The replacements came quickly, but without enough time to break them in before the trip. I love G3 Guide Wading Boots, I 've bought two pair. One pair is rubber bottomed, I use them in the winter and in the summer when I am hiking into distant waters. The second pair is the Felt Sole. We have many streams and rivers in my area that are VERY slippery or have bowling ball sized rocks. The Felt Sole works like a magnet making wading much safer. As an older angler, the felt bottom works like magic. Not sure what the T tab on the back is for, I 'd prefer the old- style loop when pulling on my boots.

Run with wool socks and heated socks on top and still have a little room. I had a cheap K brand boot before and these are so much better. So much more support and structure. I like that it has the metal rivets along the eyelights for the laces. These boots appear as if they were made to last. I would recommend this boot to others. Ordered size 9 my normal size and they fit perfect. After I put them on the first time I could tell they would be hard to take off. First half dozen times I wore them I put a plastic shopping bag over each foot to make it easier to get them off. They have since loosened up alittle so no more shopping bags. So far great boots. The plain earth color seems to blend well with multiple habitats in multiple seasons in S. Louisiana. The boots are insulated enough that my feet were comfortable during my first hunt in sub freezing temps. The uninsulated upper is perfect as I can wear them during early teal or frogging season as they seem to breath well. I 'm 5'10 '', 190lbs( 32 '' waist) and wear 10. 5- 11 in shoes. I had been waiting and watching reviews on these waders for the last few months before pulling the trigger on them. After hunting in them over the last few weeks in several different places, they have impressed me. The fit is perfect. I hunt 30- 40 times a season, so these will be put to the test over the remainder of this season and next. Only thing I ’ ve found missing is D- loops. But I made my own using a ziiptie and it ’s worked fine. I think these will contend with the likes of Chene and Sitka. And the warranty looks to be the same if not better.

I ’ m on my second pair. They last about 14 months for me. But I truly don ’ t mind because these are by far the most comfortable deck boot/shoe whatever you wan na call it that I ’ ve worn. I compare the soul of the boot to one of the “ helm pads ” that are nice and squishy and comfy to save your feet back and knees on those nasty days running in a 27 ’ cc. With these no matter where you stand you have a helm pad under your feet. I ’ ve had many pairs of the original 6 ” xtratufs over the years and one pair of all black leathers 6 ” boots for work and the sports are still by far my favorite. If I ever hear they are going to discontinue this line, I will hoard as many pairs as I can lol. I ’ m really psyched to see Xtratuf add different outsole traction options to their awesome product. I was gifted these from Mrs. Claus. And received a size 11. I typically wear sizes from 10- 11 across most brands. I have owned the 6 inch deck boots for a year and found them amazing to put on in a second and bomb to the mountain or to kick start the snowblower to blast the snow out the driveway to get to the studio on time. At times, on ice and snow, the deck boots can be a bit slippery so added traction with edge syping would be a bonus in my environment here in Truckee. After try- on this boot does not fit the same way as the deck boot which I sized up. 5 size with and the deck boot model is roomy. These boots however cramp my toes in the same size. If I size up from 11 the next size is twelve. I recommend ordering two sizes to try on. These seem to run a size small whereas the 11 fits me as if it ’s a 10.

These are the third pair that I ’ ve owned and I use them exclusively for wade fishing beaches and inshore flats along the Gulf Coast of Florida. They ’ re a little more expensive than some other options but definitely worth it. They ’ re by far the most durable and provide better ankle support and protection from rocks and oysters than any other brands I ’ ve tried over the years. Most importantly, I ’ ve never had a zipper get stuck and break trying to zip them up. I usually don ’ t wear wading socks with them but it ’s an option if wading great distances( Christmas Island) Large zippers prevent getting clogged with sand the debris but still need to rinse well when done wading. Replacing a pair of competitors wading booties used in the Bahamas once and discarded. Simms booties are much better quality in materials, design and construction. Notably, the boots are supportive of ankles and thick enough in the soles to protect feet from cuts or bruising from coral or limestone terrain. Beware that boots are a 1/2 to a full size smaller than designated. I bought size 14 to fit what I usually wear at 12 1/2 and they fit fine with a light sock.

The fit is perfect, size 13, and getting these on and off is easier than any other high boot I have tried. Fit at the ankle is firm but comfortable.
