They have started to fray a little and one of them has torn through. I would have given a 4 1/2 but couldn ’ t, they are still a great boot.

I spend more time on foot than in the boat so I was after a boot that would be durable and sturdy across land as much as in the water. The M's Flyweight are performing well in this regard. The sole is remarkably `` sticky '' so far and inspires a lot of confidence in stability. I ca n't imagine what they 'd be like with cleats! They are a boot so they do have a bit of heft to them, but relative to other boots I have used these are pretty light.

I needed a pair of non- felt- bottom wading boots for a New Zealand trip and the first pair I ordered were too large. The replacements came quickly, but without enough time to break them in before the trip. Not a problem at all – I put my flyweights on brand new with a pair of neoprene socks and was perfectly comfortable from the get- go, hiking miles through rocky riverbeds, crossing rivers all day long, wet- wading in total comfort. First trip in my Simms Flats Sneakers was on a weeklong bonefishing trip to Mars Bay on South Andros. The boot is fairly lightweight and rugged. Very simple boot without much to it. Fits true to size and is able to lace up securely. Not as stiff as most other wading boots. I like that it has the metal rivets along the eyelights for the laces. These boots appear as if they were made to last. I would recommend this boot to others. It was a tad bulkier than what it appears in the picture, but not excessively so. Fits well with a lot of good support. Easy to walk in for a long day of fishing.

These are the third pair that I ’ ve owned and I use them exclusively for wade fishing beaches and inshore flats along the Gulf Coast of Florida. They ’ re a little more expensive than some other options but definitely worth it. They ’ re by far the most durable and provide better ankle support and protection from rocks and oysters than any other brands I ’ ve tried over the years. Replacing a pair of competitors wading booties used in the Bahamas once and discarded. Simms booties are much better quality in materials, design and construction. Notably, the boots are supportive of ankles and thick enough in the soles to protect feet from cuts or bruising from coral or limestone terrain. Beware that boots are a 1/2 to a full size smaller than designated. I bought size 14 to fit what I usually wear at 12 1/2 and they fit fine with a light sock.

Dec 2023 on the Mo. Too windy for my poor fly fishing skills, so I was helping youngest with egg sacs. Boots are awesome. Follow the Simms sizing. I 'm a 9 in street shoes and ordered 10s. Run with wool socks and heated socks on top and still have a little room. I had a cheap K brand boot before and these are so much better. So much more support and structure. Especially if you have a hike to get to your spot. So glad I got these on sale. If they have your size, just buy them.

I love G3 Guide Wading Boots, I 've bought two pair. One pair is rubber bottomed, I use them in the winter and in the summer when I am hiking into distant waters. The second pair is the Felt Sole. We have many streams and rivers in my area that are VERY slippery or have bowling ball sized rocks. The Felt Sole works like a magnet making wading much safer. As an older angler, the felt bottom works like magic. Not sure what the T tab on the back is for, I 'd prefer the old- style loop when pulling on my boots.

These are by far my best investment! They are comfortable, durable, and functional to the highest degree. I work as a fly fishing guide in a remote part of Alaska during the summer and these things took a beating and then some! When I ordered online, I was worried about size because I have a small frame but usually wear a size 8 shoe. I ordered the small regular( I 'm about 5' 3 '', 130lbs) and the waders fit like a glove, still allowing me a good range of motion, and the stockingfoot does n't feel too small. Wearing a puffy coat or extra layers underneath makes these a bit more snug so that's the only thing that made me wish I had sized up, but they still fit just fine. If you 're obsessed with fishing and need a solid pair of waders that will stand up to even the worst terrain and conditions, these are beyond worth the money.

The Women's G3 Guide Z stocking foot waders are excellent. They are lightweight, but warm and seem to be tough. I was a bit concerned when I pulled them out of the box. They were so light and soft I thought, man I 've messed up, these will never take my brand of fishing. But I think I misjudged them. I 've been in a river with them twice, and a creek once. Time will tell about durability. But thus far I 'm really impressed. In ways, they 're too big, but that will be great for layering under. I do wish more foot sizes where offered, but so far even that has posed no real problem. They are worth the money if being out on the river is what makes you happy.

I have now had three pairs of Freestone waders, the last of which was the zip model and I do believe the convenience of the zipper justifies the cost differential. I probably spend around 75 days a year in waders with around half of these being hard use days consisting of climbing over rocks, busting brush, and hiking. At this level of use, the Freestones have lasted me 2- 3 seasons before they are at the end of their service life and I find this very acceptable for the price point. All of the waders ultimately failed in high abrasion zones in the seat/crotch/between thighs due to the waterproof membrane layer becoming worn and delaminating from the other layers and tearing. This may sound bad, but after hundreds of miles of abrasion and wet- dry cycles this is all one can expect from Toray fabric in a properly fitting and cared for wader. The 4 layer Toray is fairly puncture- resistant. Despite most of the thorns and brush contacting the 4 layer portion, most of the pinholes would be in the thinner upper portion. Overall, I was very pleased with the durability and features of the Freestone line for the price point, but have since upgraded to a Gore- Tex wader. If you expect to put as much wear and tear on a pair of waders as I do, then you may consider doing the same, but for causal anglers looking for a solid and feature rich offering you 've found the best value with the Freestones.

This waterproof fishing license holder from Simms is exactly what you could want it to be. It holds your license(s) easily and neatly, if they ’ re folded over a few times. The seal at the top helps to ensure it ’s closed and it has a small clip attached to a small lanyard and Velcro on the back of the holder. I keep mine in a tackle bag that I always take with me fishing so I know where it ’s at.

These are the best waders on the planet. Mine are the previous version introduced in 2018. They fit like no other wader and they perform like no other wader. I have never had a leak. I had them customised with a different bootie size for a modest additional charge. My advice is don ’ t sit down on anything with spikes and don ’ t march through any bushes with spikes. That seems like common sense to me. Superb waders. I anticipate writing an equally positive review of my waders in several years time. Worth every penny( I live and fish in Scotland) or cent.

I am a fish biologist in Washington State and wear waders pretty much two thirds of the year conducting stream and river surveys. I have owned several pairs of Simms waders and love the durability, flexibility, and breathability of the G3's. They are surprisingly rugged and have held up bushwhacking through blackberries, salmonberries and devils club, which can shred lesser waders.

The G3's continue to get better and better. Super durable and comfortable too. Also, the performance of your waders, particularly the seams, are dependent on after care. ALWAYS hang dry, inside and out, away from UV exposure and these will last even the most rugged conditions.

[ I am 6 ’- 0 ” and 215lbs 11 shoe and the LL 9- 11 fit very well. The neoprene feet are a little more difficult than I ’ m used to taking off, but that comes along with having less “ extra ” neoprene material making boots fit better.
