I purchased the Hyperion 2s after researching speed/ tempo based shoes and reading reviews/ recommendations. This is my first pair of Brooks and I am very happy with the purchase. Comfort is outstanding. Stability is great. Padding is just right. I appreciate the one piece rubber tread. I am fairly tough on shoes. A marathon a week give or take. One piece rubber tread always wears better than the current trend of contact patches. I burn through the edges and into the padding in just a few weeks with my running and walking style. The one piece allows the force of the step to transfer evenly without abrading and damaging the cushioning. Brooks is the only brand of shoe I have found that will fit my wide feet, as I have to wear the 4E( extra wide) in size 11 to minimize blisters forming on the outside of my feet. Have 2 pair of Addiction GT5s and 1 pair of the Ghost 15 shoe. It ’s all I wear aside from some flip- flops in summer.

I purchased this shoe due to having plantar fasciitis the fit and the cushion allows me to be unphased by the plantar fasciitis. I am able to run 5- 10K with no issues or concerns. I wear Brooks Ghost Max and those are about near perfect for a running shoe. The Caldera 8 has close to the same feel and just slightly less cushion. Which is what is needed when trail hiking or running. I would love to see a Max version of this shoe for better trail running platform and a High top version for my long hikes where I need ankle support

I ’ ve used this shoe on grass, dirt, pavement, and track, and it performs great on all. I ’ ve used this shoe since July, so I would estimate 100- 200 miles, and there isn ’ t too much wear. The fit of the shoe is great, love the snug feel. Not crazy amount of traction, but the hole in the bottom( where the plate is) can get some mobility out of the rocker. The DNA flash is very soft in the heel, and lessens further forward, giving soft landing and fast release. This shoe can be used of really any distance in speed. Only complaint I ’ ve had is the ankle bump it has, it gave me soreness one time, but never happened again, so it shouldn ’ t be a problem.

Amazing shoe, fast and bouncy but not squishy. Relatively stable considering this is a racing shoe. I prefer them to my Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 because I recover faster after a hard workout in the Hyperion Elite 4. Elite 4 is comparably more stable than the Endorphin Pro 4. Excellent upper and ventilation. DNA Flash 2 foam does not stiffen up in the cold. I appreciate the design of the laces and how it makes it harder for them to get undone. Fit is perfect on my slightly wide feet. These shoes do n't get proper justice from some online reviewers and I do n't agree with that. I am really happy I gave them a try and they are permanently in my rotation now until I wear them down.
