I bought this on a whim not knowing how to use it. First try was on a Ned rig and it worked really well, after the second cast I got three decent size bass. Thought how else can I use this. It was a windy day so I thought I can just throw this out on a drop shot and let the current do the work and surprisingly it did. After about five minutes with this just sitting out there, I never moved it, a three and a half pound bass decide to eat it. Great little bait.

At first I was very skeptical about the googan baits but I decided to give a few different styles a try. The bandito bug has turned into my favorite flipping creature/craw soft plastic. Whether it ’s a pegged texas rig, jig trailer or my favorite... a Picasso wobble head. It always catches fish. When I first saw the bait in person, I thought it was too little for the lakes I fish but once I saw the action under water, I was very surprised at how wide those back legs kicked.. it gave it a larger appearance which was perfect. When the saucy swimmers came out, I thought, why not give them a try. I 'm glad did. Nothing is the scent something the fish seem to lock on to, they are extremely durable. I used to use strike king rage swimmers and they were decent, but if I can catch on 6- 7 fish per bait on average with the googan baits, versus 2- 3 with strike king its a no brainer. as expected, these Berkley 2 '' curlies are quality baits. each bait is consistent in quality in shape, size, and color and the colors are very vibrant. durability is about average but still very decent. these baits will catch all panfish species- bluegill, perch, and crappie for me. and when i do catch the occasional bass, it's usually with this berkley power bait. i recently downsized from regular bass rig to ultra lite and could n't be happier with these little curly tails- several colors/combos. lastly, i think you 'll find these 2 '' ers are a little beefier than most other small grubs and the fish seem to appreciate it, as do i.

I bought a bag of this bait at my local dicks store last week. I fish regularly on Cayuga lake which is located in the finger lakes in NY. I purchased some minnow soft baits as an alternative bait to my Berkley grub baits. I had lots of success in catching some fish including some blue gill, perch, and large mouth. I also caught tons! and tons! of gobies where I fished. These things have huge mouths and love the scented bait. I was only fishing of a dock so I did n't get the full experience of using this bait on a boat or kayak. I found that using a smaller hook worked well in catching the fish near me. I hooked the bait through the head and out the bottom similar to a carolina rig. The bait works well even after a few fish are caught and the bait is broken down. I suggest throwing the bait back in the back once finished so it can redial up the liquid in the gulp bag. All in all decent bait for a good price.

I use these on a chatter bait flashback mini, and get a crappie almost every cast when over submerged weedbeds. These are by far the most irresistible bait- both in taste/scent and texture- to most panfish. The chatter bait draws them, and these baits keep them. I use the 2. 5 '' black or emerald shiners mostly. Fire tiger works well on cloudy days.

The claws do n't tear off on short strikes which is a huge plus. The forward facing appendages on the side of the craw flutter when retrieved. The two tone color of the plastic and glitter look great in the water. Most importantly, this lure gets bit.
