Having ran Millwood Lake Guide Service for over 22 years in sw Arkansas, I can tell you dont hit the lake without a plano box full of these in various colors for varying water conditions. Because our lake can change color in a matter of hours with high wind and thunderstorms, I prefer the 3/4 oz Rat- L- Trap in 3- 4 basic patterns. Silverado, aka, Millwood Magic, Red Shad, Toledo Gold, and the newer Zombie patterns are hands down, best there is. I always have 3 rods rigged up with 3/4 or 1/2 oz sizes, and in muddy conditions go up to the 1 oz size for increased racket and chatter. This bait is by far the best producer for big fish in the fall I 've ever used. It has produced walleye over 30 '' multiple times for me. I use it starting in October and use it into December for big walleye in Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado. The thread fin shad is the best pattern I 've used so far. Great lure!

This has been my go to bait for years. It always comes through for me when I 'm fishing for Slime Gators or for Bass. The twitching action, the colors and luminescent shine really make a great presentation, and I 've watched how the fish just ca n't resist it. I 've also caught Jack Cravalle, Bluefish and even Pompano with this lure, so I can definitely say this lure catches fish. I would n't recommend you use it specifically to catch Jacks or Blues with it, because the construction of the lure is not made to handle the vicious, crushing bite those fish can put on a lure, but they are perfect for Sea Trout.

As the name implies, I 've had some really good success with this lure by letting it settle to the bottom and then rippin' it and letting it fall to near the bottom before rippin' it again. I 've caught muskie, pike, walleye, smallmouth and largemouth bass on it. The walleye and smallmouth seem to like it the best. I have n't narrowed it down to one color either, mostly just the retrieve method. They are worth trying.

Definitely my go to lure. If you just wan na catch a fish tie one of these on. Its small but VERY loud for a tiny lipless crankbait. Can cast really good even with a bait caster and is fairly aerodynamic, lands straight and belly down `` 99% '' of the time. I use this for both salt and fresh water. Ive caught panfish of many sizes along with bass, chain pickerel, crappie, white+ yellow perch, red drum, baby striper barely longer than the bait to 20+ inchers. Its just a fish catcher! Colors I mainly use for this are helsinki shad and blue chrome( pure personal opinion but Im sure all the colors work). Im trying the pink tiger next!
