Fantastic water source for camping. Kept water nice and cold for several days and provided an easy way to refill bottles and camelbaks with ice cold water for hikes. Keep in mind that 8 lbs of ice will take up 1 gallon of volume. If the water is room temperature when you put it in( like those 5 gallon containers you re- fill at the store) then you will need approximately 12 lbs of ice just to even get it cold( with all the ice now melted and none leftover). So I ’ d recommend pairing 24 lbs of ice with 3 gallons of room temperature water. That should leave you with roughly 4. 5 gallons of ice cold water and 12 lbs of ice to make sure it stays cold.

The Igloo ICF 32 its a fair- sized option for a smaller vehicle. I 've had it for about a month and one trip. It has so far held well and worked in both the vehicle as well as indoor. The compressor noise is quite low but is there. The one option that would be useful is a wheel that would allow one person to move the cooler easily. Believe it or not my dad had invented the wheel design and handle back in the 80's. I 'm glad to see your improvements to the design. I really like the extension T on the handle. but would remocent one thing and that is something to get the handle up higher so the cooler does n't tip over when you walk upright where it is comfortable. I just made a loop with 2 '' webbing to put around the handle as a quick fix but would love something more purmanent.

Ordered and received this beautiful cooler…only to find it already dented when unboxed. This was my first time dealing with the Yeti warranty process, but man did it go perfectly! Followed the step by step online process on the website, and within a day or 2 had a RMA and prepaid label to send back…within 10 days had a replacement in house, dent- free and just as beautiful as the first! Outstanding! Purchased the ICF 18 a month ago and used for 8 days straight without any problem. We found our perfect temp was 34 degrees. This cooler was spot on with the temperature although the smaller compartment above the compressor was just a few degrees higher. We opted to use that area for soda cans and items that weren ’ t as sensitive to temperature. The main area kept things really cold. I used a refrigerator thermometer before our trip and felt the internal thermometer was spot on within a degree or two. For longer trips or families the 32( size wise might be better), but we are happy with our choice! The unit was powered with a portable power supply that kept our Igloo running all day while driving with power to spare! To be fair, the Igloo was in a climate controlled car nearly all the time. Hope this helps and we would highly recommend the Igloo ICF 18. It is also very quiet as someone else mentioned. The cooler( fully loaded) was also manageable for a couple of seniors to lift in and out of our car. Good job and Thank you Igloo!!!

If you love cold drinks driving to hot states in the summer or any time this is a great cooler that will do the job. This is highly recommended as opposed to thermoelectric coolers if you need to travel with medication that must be at a certain temperature. The only drawback is that all compressor coolers are heaver by design. The bail handle seems strong enough by design to handle to full weight of the cooler. Where the bail handle attaches to both sides of the cooler body, this is why I gave this cooler 4 stars. It seems to be loose fitting and flimsy at the ends. The handles will just fall down to the sides when let go. The cooling and holding temperature work as designed and the compressor will stay off for about an hour to cool again at the set temp.( 42' F). I recommend the cooler, wish the price was less, great overall satisfaction.

I was looking for a small cooler for little day trips and things and of course the sticker shock of the yetis was enough to make your head spin.$ 200 and they are n't even made stateside. Took a stroll down the igloo aisle because it was more of my budget and was surprised to see that they were actually made in USA! The cooler itself is great, it's small and easy to bring with you, but big enough that you can still load a decent amount of stuff in it and whether you use ice or the igloo freezer blocks, it does a great job of keeping things cold for a reasonable amount of time. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend this cooler for small day trips or if you need a lunch box. If you are like a construction worker or a truck driver or something it's perfect for that sort of thing.
