Last year she decided that helmets were unnecessary and did not really provide much protection and that their effectiveness was overrated. I never wore a helmet so it was no concern to me. [ As is typical of Bell helmets, this is a really good brain crate for road biking. It's light, fits and breathes well, even on the hottest of days, while being fully adjustable to fit with or without a skull cap. About the only thing that it falls short on is the straps are shorter than I 'd like, such that I only have about an inch of strap beyond the buckle and would prefer to see another 1- 2 inches for better adjustability. This seems to be Bell's new norm, after many years where their straps tended to be too long.

I crashed really hard today. Lost it on a large jump, hit the ground and my head. Broke my glasses and cracked my helmet. I feel like I ’ ve been hit by a car but thankfully, my head feels great. I ’ m grateful for MIPS today and I have ordered another Session helmet.

This helmet is so comfortable it feels like an extension of my body. The fit is customizable to your preferences, it has the prefect amount of ventilation when you need to cool down but also keeps your head warm and snuggled. I have worn it with a balaclava and had no issues with the fit. It's like a dream! Perfectly integrates with the aleck speakers and smith 4d mag goggles which are a must have as well!

The helmet fit comfortably and had room to wear a lay underneath when it got that cold. The ventilation control is convenient. My goggles fit around and the clip on the back held them in place nicely
