I 've filleted prehaps 1000 bass, crappies, and bluegill over the last 3 years. Sometimes up to 100 at a time. The little plastic gear that runs the blades and attaches to the worm gear stripped out and I can not find a replacement.

While I absolutely do n't recommend doing this, I have cleaned and gutted a large deer with this blade because somehow I did n't have any other blade whether through losing them or forgetting them in my truck. It worked and I carried it for another year before I lost it. But do n't be like me and do that. It took forever.

[ I bought this knife because it reminded me of the Buck 110 my old man gave me as a gift when I was a kid. I liked that gift a lot and used that knife for many many years. I always hoped Buck would remake a high quality modern version of the 110 model. Well Benchmade beat them to it. The knife opens and closes butter smooth. This knife is very similar to the Benchmade 940 but with a nostalgic appearance. I love the axis lock. I love how this knife looks. My only complaints about this knife is the finish is pretty slick( not much traction on the knife) and and the wood scales do n't sit perfectly flush with the aluminum. Overall, I very much like this knife.
