As with all Zman ElaZtech baits these are tough, and they catch fish. Late fall fishing, and the large mouth want a smaller presentation. I put the 3 '' in baby bass on a 1/6oz finesse bulletz, and was the only one at the pond catching fish. I caught a couple right around 1 lb, a couple of dinks, and one just shy of 2 lbs( it weighed 1lb 15oz).

I had n't been fishing in about thirty years, and upon a recommendation on the internet, I purchased a couple of Sonar 433's. One `` fluorescent green '' and the other in `` perch. '' I fished off a pier at Put- in- Bay, OH in Lake Erie. I 'd never caught anything on an artificial bait or lure in my previous fishing years. I varied my retrieves and using a steady retrieve I started getting hits. In two hours I landed 6- 8 sheepshead( not a glamor fish, I know, but fun after 30 years away!), a white bass and a couple smallmouth( one threw the hook in the water though.) I was quite pleased, and with clear water at my location I could see the action. I liked it and obviously so did the fish. I 'll have to by a new fluorescent green one, though, as my line broke at the not while bringing one fish in. The fish swam off with the lure still in its mouth. Some lucky fisherman will get a lure.

Use many colors of Heddon Sonar, but when Walleye seem to be a little sluggish and picky, the Blue Flitter is the secret weapon they ca n't seem to resist. No matter what your jigging with, it's a good idea to have one or two of these in your tackle box.

I found a pier at Put- I Need- Bay, Ohio( western Lake Erie) and attached one of the chartreuse Sonar 431's I bought for the trip. I thought I felt a strike, but chalked it up to wishful thinking.

In about two hours I caught about 6- 8 sheepshead( exciting, but fun to be catching something), a white bass, and a very good size smallmouth. Not a bad return to the sport.

I have used this jig for over 20 years. No matter what the light condition, the Fuzzy E Grub produces. I have caught a 36 '' walleye on this jig tipped with a minnow. The walleyes can not resist this jig, no light bites. they smash it. I have tried all the other jigs, but none can compare. This is the only jig I have in my tackle box. Its a winner......
