These are the most perfect pants I 've worn in over 20 years. They actually fit correctly and are properly high waisted, and as such can easily be dressed up; but are also entirely functional for work. All the while they are still wide enough to accommodate truly muscular thighs, they have a clean cut through the leg that you can even fit a pair of half chaps on top of them to ride in them! Furthermore, I expect them to break in fantastically as they 're a study weave of 100% cotton. I am so happy I snagged the last pair in a size that would accommodate my hips, but I regret not being able to semi- stockpile these! They are fantastic, and particularly left- hand friendly. The waist band allows some gap to accommodate natural movement but, I have it pinched in with a stretchy belt, as can be seen in my photos. However, the belt is not needed so long as the pants fit your hips. I could go on? I want more of these, and others `` like '' them.

Purchased these pants, that I have been looking at for some time, for Alaskan travels. I was able to wear them multiple times on rainy days and then the versatility of just touring. Made my packing list much smaller because they are so versatile. I am 5 ’ 6 ”, 57 years old and 138 pounds. I tried on both the 6 and the 8, both of them fit well and ended up keeping 8 so I could layer for warmth if I needed. Got these in a medium( I ’ m 5 ’ 8 ”, 165lb), and the fit is wonderful. They don ’ t look too baggy, but I still have great mobility( if you have the problem of big thighs, you know tight pants make squatting and floor- sitting difficult). If I could change one thing, I would make them and inch or two longer, but I just wear them with sandals or flats( yes, I pull them off as business casual at work).

Gone through many brands of fastpitch pants with my 16 year daughter, and they all fit very different! For reference, my daughter is 5' 2 ''/ 130- 135 lbs/ thin waist and muscular body type. Thighs like a body builder so most medium/28 pants have been super tight fitting in the thighs and somewhat restrictive( Boombah/Champro). However those brands did have a short enough inseam that the elastic sat just below the knee as she prefers. These Mizuno pants are a bit different. Quality, look, feel and color are all excellent. A size Medium was a little roomy in the waste, nothing a belt could n't fix. Much better fit through the thighs, also just a bit of room and flexibility, not tight fitting at all for her muscular thighs. The length however was too long for her 5' 2 '' height, way too long. And not the type where she could just hike them up a bit and expect the elastic to keep them up. These were probably 5 inches too long! We are keeping these because the fit and feel is excellent, but having to pay a tailor to have them taken up several inches which is the only reason I 'm giving these 4/5 stars. Hopefully this is helpful. I 'd say for a girl with a 28- 31 waist in most softball pants, and 5' 5 '' to 5' 8 '' height these in a size Med might be your favorite pants! If you are 5' 4 '' or below expect to need alterations unless you like them hanging near your shin/ankle.
