What a beautiful shoe! I was very excited to give this one a opportunity as ince i needed a shoe for runnable trails along with dirt/gravel paths. Sizing for me was absolutely perfect, I ordered 10. 5 as always and hold and toe box spacing is excellent. I will have to play around with lacing tightness to figure out that best heel hold but that's the case with most shoes imo. The midsole is incredible and I 'm sure it will take on the abuse well, the bounce and propulsion is entirely new for me, I have never experienced something like this before. It would be a waste to use this for easy/slow runs since the rocker and midsole are clearly for running at faster paces.

I have the altra gators and( not just this shoe but others) the laces do n't go far enough towards to toes so you ca n't use the lace hook on the gator. I have been a long time Hoka Stinson wearer for hiking but the soles do n't hold up well for Grand Canyon and slick rock hiking. I decided to try the Olympus 6's and have been very pleased. The Vibram soles are grippy and durable with the same plush cushioning that I enjoyed with the Hokas. The Olympus runs about 1/2 smaller than the Hokas which caused the hassle of sending back a pair. There was a break in period for the cushioned heel but felt much better after a week. I 'm wearing them for a rim to rim later this month and if they do well with that, I 'm hooked.

I 'm an Altra purist and have been for 3 or 4 years. I have road and trail styles, but with the Olympus 6, Altra just outdid themselves. I purchased these for trail running on small gravel/dirt trails around the beach trails in the hills of the SoCal coast. Nothing technical, just a good sturdy and grippy shoe. The structure and protection level in the Olympus 6 is perfect- the toe has protection and the edge and bite of the sole works great. I was also looking for cushion and I would say the cushion is cloud- like. The reduction in fatigue from long runs is really noticed. The shoe is sturdy, but the comfort is level 10. By far my favorite 10+ miler trail shoe I 've ever worn. I have to order another pair as these quickly became my dailies. I work in film production and I have lived in these since I purchased them. And not that I care, but I 've gotten more compliments and asks about these shoes! The best- I ca n't say it enough.

Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

After many unsatisfying purchases and many returns, I have found the exact shoe I have been looking for, for use in long distance walking. It is very difficult to find a shoe that has lots of cushion* and* a more minimalist arch support( I have found that Hoka and even Altra just have too much arch support, which is uncomfortable if you have a flatter foot and/or do n't want or need arch support). The only thing I did n't like was the un- cushioned tongue, which was pressing a bit too much into my front ankle tendons. I solved this problem by using scissors to cut a small slit in each tongue to relieve that pressure( see photo). Now they are perfect! I will be buying these again.

These shoes fit true to size and are amazingly comfortable. They are soft and squishy enough to survive 10- hour days working on concrete but also rock solid on runs and in the gym. With a more durable toe box material and full rubber sole, these are improved from a materials standpoint over the 14. The bright green looks great—quite like the photo, so no surprise there. Fit and feel is about the same as the 14—it ’s a mid+ cushion shoe, on the narrow- ish side of the market. It ’s got a buoyant feel, without being too bouncy or overly squishy. Runs nicely, but I ’ m not wowed by this shoe. I have a low volume foot, and running shoes generally feel a little sloppy on me. While a bit roomy in the toe, the peregrine allows me to lock in my heel and mid foot well enough that I have decent control, but they ’ re no La Sportiva, which fit like a glove. The Peregrine 15 are quite a bit more cushioned than most of La Sportiva, and I ’ m in a comfort stage of trail running, so I ’ m on my second pair.

Use them as hiking and backpacking shoes, 3- 4 days of light use to break them in, than a 3 day backpacking trip with substantial load, few days later a SAR trip, and a day hike. Great shoes. No hot spots, great room for my wide feet and toes and nice support. I usually wear boots with my heavy pack so was pleasantly surprised. Seem little tight first through the middle of my feet first, especially around the top, but went away after couple days of light wear. Only issue is the loop on the back. Could be slightly bigger to allow a finger to go through, would allow shoes to be put on a lot easier.

I have been running for 56 years. I have seen the development of all shoes from all brands. For me, the Timp 5 is one of the best shoes I have ever used. It just feels like running. It feels like hitting the trails. I know other runners have had issues with the Timp series, but for me, this is just an excellent shoe.

These shoes are awesome! I can walk and run for miles and no issues. I go about 10- 15 a day. They are perfectly cushioned and stable and I land right every time. I 've tried my actual size, which felt like my toe was right at the tip and it felt tighter around the ball of my foot. My foot lands hard. I feel it after many miles. I went 1/2 size up and there's tons of room in the toe box and my ball lands on all cushioning. It's like landing on clouds. Feel energized after miles, nothing hurts. This is my 3rd pair. I tried the white, it just gets dirty waaaay to quickly. I wanted the burst of color with the bright soles but white and mud just dont mix. So I got the black ones. I thought I 'd hate them but they make me feel all sporty!! They are the coolest black and carbon fiber gray with the white puffy soles. They are an AWESOME color combination. I hope brooks co tinues to make this color, becauae I 've been going theough a pair about every six months now with all the miles I do before the nobbies wear off the bottoms and they lose a little cushioning and I have to get new ones. These run GREAT in the winter months on regular pavement. They keep traction through the snow and even walking on ice. They 're amazing and the traction is GREAT. Now that it's warmer they are great on fields, trails and pavemsnt. Still same great traction which makes me feel safe when there is dew on the ground and the fields are wet. Awesome shoe! I was looking for a shoe with lower drop and not to much stack height. The Fuji Lite 5 delivered. It grips the trail well and I can feel the trail. Not to many miles yet but so good so far.

I play on a men ’s softball tournament team and bought these trail runners to wear when I play. First time out wearing them I played in 10 softball games over 3 days. My feet felt great after each day of games and the shoes gave me great traction playing the field, running, and hitting. Fit and rebound are great. Shoe laces are fantastic. There is one spot on one foot that's rubs in a weird way but I think that maybe my fault as it's only happened recently when I re adjusted the laces.

Ample toe box room, heels do n't slip,, and relatively light compared to other trail shoes. Brooks just fits me better. These have plenty of grip for steep descents. I just wish the graphics were a little more subtle.

I have mid- foot arthritis in both of my feet. I was advised by my doctor to wear carbon plate shoes. I bought a pair of both the Catamount 3& 4 shoes for daily all around wear. They provide comfortable support for my feet without the stacked bouncy cushioning that another brand of carbon plate shoes that I also bought. The tongue of the 4s is very thin in comparison to the 3s. So far I ’ m very satisfied. I ’ m hoping Brooks will develop a cold weather version for winter wear.
