Most- if not all- bars come with the nuts/clips you need to hold the weight on- this one does not. Packed securely and shipped quickly, it arrived within a couple of days in perfect condition. It's well made and just what I needed. Two issues- one, as another reviewer commented, the bar comes with what I assume is an anti- rust coating that's a little messy to remove. It would be nice if some instructions came for that. Maybe there were and I just did n't see them. And two- the clerk who took the order told me my email address would be used only to communicate regarding the order. But I was hesitant to order the Body Solid bar because the reviews for the 5ft bar indicated it was covered with an oily/sticky coating that was difficult to remove. I was greatly relieved that was not the case. It was wrapped in plastic inside a hard cardboard tube. Quick and easy to unpack. Both the Olympic bar/bumper plates totally fit my requirements. Shopped around for some farmer carry bars and what drew my attention to these besides the great price was the knurled grips that I did n't see most if not all of the others. I ordered them on a Friday and they were delivered on Wednesday. The packaging was in good shape and there were no flaws in the finish of the bars. The bars weighed in at 22. 2lbs each on my bathroom scale. There is 12 '' of sleeve length which will allow for plenty of weight. They came with 4 spring collars which is a good thing because standard spring collars are too big. But less than standard olympic sleeve diameter seems to be the norm with all these carry bars. I did find that my hex collars will also work on them, just not as tight as on an Olympic bar. I 'm very happy with the purchase and ca n't wait to try them out.

The more I read about farmer's carry, the more I believe it should be a major part of everyone's workout. It activates essentially every muscle group, including working cardiovascular strength, and especially targets forearms and traps. I got these bars on sale but they 're worth it even at full price. Just got them and tried them out. Paint on collars is fragile, but I 'm not sure why the collars are painted anyway( main reason for 4 not 5 stars). The Echelon comes with a bunch of attachments, which is awesome. The straight bar, ankle straps, and different handles give tons of variety. BUT. Storing all this stuff is a pain. This piece of machinery is amazing, I have yet to go to the gym after I got this. Works great and has pretty much everything you need besides leg attachments but can do squat and deadlifts so its not a necessary thing. Overall this Cage is amazing and very sturdy. I have owned this for a month now and I ’ m very happy I chose it. There are several options for massage bars, but this one struck all the correct chords. It ’s cost effective for sure, but that wasn ’ t my deciding factor. The shorter length of the bar allows me to use more torque on my quads without it bending like some of the others did. It ’s compact size it a alot more travel friendly when needed.

I had the top of the line Rogue Ceracote curl bar for 4 years& did n't like it for several reasons. It was too long with absurdly long sleeves. Too heavy with a starting weight of 30lbs. The color was a matte black which just looked dull especially after dirt/skin build up in the knurling. Also the ridiculous long sleeves were made of zinc which turns an ugly faded dull look even if you never use the bar. Plus the Rogue bar costs about$ 325. Finally I didnt like the bend of the Rogue. It was extreme in the middle grip which made the narrow& wide grip unbearable. The Nike curl bar fixed ALL the things I did n't like about to Rogue version. It has a gloss black finish over the matte black. The beloved Nike swoosh wins over the over hyped/priced `` Rogue '' logo. The length is about 8 '' shorter making it much more accessible/ manueverable in a garage gym setting or any gym for that matter. The bend is better so now I regularly use all 3 hand positions. The price was better at$ 200 even vs$ 325. The sleeves are the perfect size& made of a sleek metal that I highly doubt will show ANY signs of aging/use. The weight is 22lbs vs 30lb so you have a lower starting weight& can always add but you could n't subtract w/ the heavy Rogue. Only thing Rogue did better was the 28. 5mm diameter. I can feel the difference in Nike's smaller 28mm bar& would prefer 29mm or even 30mm if I could customize it. I rate the bar 10/10! The rest of Nike's gym equipment appears high quality& esthetically pleasing but its also way overpriced. The Nike curl bar is the only things I saw that gives you real value for the price point. NIKE 'S neoprene Kettlebells are cool looking but overpriced& the handles are rough like rocks. 👎🏾 The non neoprene versions have much smoother/ preferred handles.

The bar is easy to attach and take off for quick changes while exercising. My 11 year old son works out with me and it is even easy for him to make quick changes in height to the bar. It is secure and will not come off accidentally while doing pulling exercises like inverted rows. Pretty good construction- welds at bar/collar junction seem pretty well done. Hollow but side walls of bar pretty thick. Not sure about weight capacity, but seems like it would do fine with 200- 250 lbs. Definitely increases range of motion. Allows for about 3 '' in grip width variation, so you can emphasize outer lats or nearer to spine pretty effectively. Collar fits perfectly over olympic bar ends. I 've not tried the smaller collar over standard bars, but at least it's an option. Personally, I feel the price for this particular item was a bit high. From my research it was comparable to commercial bars of greater thickness and weight capacity. However, this was readily available and in stock from Dick's, so that became the selling point for me. I would recommend the bar to others, but I would suggest to see if it goes on sale or if a coupon becomes available before purchasing at full price.

It's a decent weight set. The problem I have is that when I called customer service to ask if the bar was one piece, I was told it was. I wanted the one bar strength in order to increase the weight. They were wrong. It is a 3 piece bar that is screwed together. It seems sturdy but I 'm not sure exactly how much weight the bar will hold now.
