I used to run a lot when I was younger just getting out of college, but then I stopped a little because my legs would get sore easy. I started reading up on jumping rope as a comparative exercise that has the same, if not better, benefits as running in less time. I saw a some other jump ropes that were somewhat bland and cheap looking, and then came across the weighted rope. It's been working like a charm. It is a little tangly/tight initially because of the material, but after a couple uses, it's fine. I sweat a lot when I workout, so my hands sometimes get slick and the handles could use a little more grip. Hopefully once my body gets more acclimated, it wo n't be an issue.

I chose the Lifeline rope because the weight is n't in the handles, its in the rope, which I wanted to compare to the weighted handle style. Its a different weorkout and a better one in my opinion. Fantastic rope and durability. I buy new rope every year and this one has not disappointed. I went with the larger 9. 8 vs 9. 5 and it ’s great for Trad days and normal wear and tear. If you are heavy and belayer a lighter individual just need to ensure they are really good with catches. The 9. 8 has a little less elasticity than the smaller ropes and could create harder catches. But no issues with good belayers knowing how to catch. Rope has stayed cleaner then other classic crag ropes and doesn ’ t seem to collect dirt as easily. Overall would recommend.

This is a great rope for the price and size. It is a good all around rope for the crag. It is not a dry rope, so it ’s important to only use in ideal conditions, but for someone like me where I will only be climbing outdoors if its nice out, it works great!

[ Overall, this backpack is great. It fits an 80m rope, two helmets, plenty of quickdraws, shoes, harness and more( although its a tight fit with all of those things). The backpack design is good, and i like that the front of the backpack is what touches the ground, not the side that goes on your back. My only complaint is that the backpack is very simple- there are no loops to clip stuff onto, or pockets for waterbottles, which is a bit annoying if you need to hike a bit. Overall a fantastic bag, especially for the price!!

Purchased a pair of Mammut 8. 0 Alpine Dry Ropes for a recent trip to the Alps. They were used for glacier travel, alpine and rock climbing. As with all Mammut products they performed exactly as needed and encountered no issues with either rope for the duration of our trip. Mammut is steadily becoming my `` go to '' gear and apparel when heading into the mountains.

Limited experience as rock fall destroyed the core at the midpoint. I Love these ropes though, they feel firm but subtle in your belays, they clip easy as they dont flop around. I have 3. 5 of these ropes and I 'd recommend for any twin set up, LFG!!!

These are great ropes! I use mine for ice climbing, it is my second season climbing with them and they are still in great shape and still dry. I love that they are balanced in sturdiness and being not too heavy. I really enjoy using double ropes since it splits the weight to carry between the climbing party. I have found that if you are not cautious they can wrap into knots quite quickly but this is something that has happened to me with most ropes!

It still catches falls really nicely though. I have used this rope with a rope bag except on multipitches so i am surprised at how much dirt this rope has picked up. Although we did get caught in the rain once and it may have been a little damp on the next outing. I will give it a wash and evaluate further

I climb at a gym that only requires a 30m rope, so I can buy this rope in a 60m and use the hot knife to make two gym ropes. I put a lot of mileage and take a lot of whippers every week on this rope and can honestly say it's the best rope for the job. 9. 5mm is a perfect size( not too thick, not too thin for any GriGri), and I 've never encountered early soft spots, sheath slippage or other issues that plague other ropes since I 've switched to this rope several years ago. I have purchased three of these ropes and the quality is consistent as well!

I ’ ve used this rope for the last year as my multipitch rope, and it ’s still going strong after a few hundred pitches. After a couple weeks it did lose the dry treatment, but not an issue for me in the Sierra.
