This is an excellent addition to any tackle box. Works great trolled, cast, and is also a great top water for bass. Cast it out onto the glass smooth morning/evening water, let it sit a minute, give it a couple twitches and........... BAM, fish on! Looks fantastic, and it works. Rapala are the only `` crank baits '' I use now.

I got the color closest to our natural crawfish. Bass really inhale this lure. Dives deep enough and works well around docks as long as there is a reasonably clean bottom. Did not have to tune this lure as it runs straight right out of the box. Retrieve and pause works the best. Most hits on when the lure is stopped.

When the grasshoppers start getting big in the summer in the south you can be sure to catch some fish on these! You can drop them on the surface and twitch them for top- water bites or reel them slow or fast for aggressive shallow water bites. Catches bass, bluegill, crappie, etc...

The Rebel Crickhopper is top choice to use for Bluegill Fishing. Whenever the lure hits the water, smaller panfish and sometimes large mouth bass will attack. If one color does not seem to be getting many hits, simply change over to a different one, move around, and enjoy another day of fishing! Lures work great even with just a simple Zebco 33 and some 4- 6# line.

The Rapala Husky Jerk is fast becoming my favorite lure. From Large mouth to Crappie, from Small mouth to Blue gills, fish have attacked my silver husky Jerk's with relish. The other day, two hit my silver Husky Jerk simeltaneously and I landed both together. I now have several sizes in my tackle box and they are my go to lure.
A floating crankbait is a type of fishing lure designed to mimic the movement of baitfish on the surface of the water. When retrieved, it floats and can be used to target fish in various depths, making it effective for catching species that feed near the surface. The buoyancy allows it to rise when paused, creating an enticing action that can trigger strikes from predatory fish.
Floating crankbaits offer several advantages, including their ability to stay near the surface, making them ideal for targeting fish that are actively feeding in shallow waters. They can also be paused during retrieval, allowing for a more erratic action that can attract fish. Additionally, their buoyancy helps prevent snagging on underwater structures, making them a versatile choice for various fishing environments.
Floating crankbaits are particularly effective in warmer months when fish are more likely to be near the surface. They work well in clear water conditions, where the visibility allows fish to see the lure easily. Additionally, they can be used effectively in shallow lakes, rivers, and during times when fish are feeding on surface prey, such as during insect hatches.
Floating crankbaits are versatile lures that can attract a variety of freshwater species, including bass, pike, and trout. Their ability to mimic the movement of baitfish makes them appealing to predatory fish that are hunting near the surface. Depending on the size and color of the crankbait, anglers can target different species effectively.
Choosing the right floating crankbait involves considering factors such as water clarity, the type of fish you are targeting, and the time of year. Lures in natural colors tend to work well in clear water, while brighter colors can be effective in murky conditions. Additionally, selecting a crankbait with the appropriate diving depth for your fishing environment can enhance your chances of success.
