[ I bought two of these floats a few weeks ago and have been very happy with them overall. I used them as a training aid for kayaking lessons in a pool and it was a huge help in learning the paddle strokes for rolling. My only complaint is that the pocket for the paddle blade tends to fill up with water which makes it very heavy. I ’ ve considered cutting a few small holes in the bottom for the water to flow out but don ’ t want the whole thing to tear...

Especially like the blade angle and the scoop to the paddle. Appreciate that it separates into 2 pieces for carting to the lake.

My wife and I got kayaks for early Christmas presents so after looking online and checking reviews I bought two of these paddles. They are excellent quality and take up little space in the back of my subaru forester when the paddles are taken apart. Only negative thing I can say is I wish they were a little longer. Our kayaks are sit in and fairly wide, if you have similar kayaks you will want a longer paddle.

A floating paddle is designed to remain buoyant on water, making it easier to retrieve if dropped or lost. These paddles typically feature lightweight materials that enhance their ability to float, ensuring they stay on the surface. They are commonly used in various water sports, providing convenience and peace of mind for users.
Floating paddles are often made from lightweight materials such as aluminum, plastic, or foam. These materials not only contribute to the buoyancy of the paddle but also enhance its durability and resistance to water damage. Choosing the right material can affect the paddle's performance and comfort during use.
Floating paddles are versatile and suitable for a range of water activities, including kayaking, canoeing, and recreational paddling. They are particularly beneficial for beginners or casual users who may need to retrieve their paddle frequently. Additionally, they can be used in beach games and other water sports, adding to their functionality.
Choosing the right size of a floating paddle depends on your height, the type of watercraft you are using, and your paddling style. Generally, longer paddles are better for wider kayaks or canoes, while shorter paddles are more suitable for narrower crafts. It's important to consider your comfort and efficiency when selecting the appropriate length.
Many floating paddles are designed to be lightweight and compact, making them easy to transport and store. Some models feature telescoping designs that allow them to collapse for convenient storage in a car or kayak. When considering a floating paddle, look for features that enhance portability, especially if you plan to travel frequently.
