[ Just in time for fishing season! My husband reviewed this one and told me what to say- 1) the rod is lightweight without being flimsy. You can feel how sturdy it is. 2) The rod does not break down, once spooled/threaded, it stayed loaded without any issues with the fishing line.( Unlike the VERY expensive one I got him for Christmas) 3) the rod had a good give to it, without being too much. 4) the reel worked fantastic and was smooth with a strong catch 5) it held up against our VERY WINDY lake without the problems he has with some rods 6) Finally, he told me he had two people on shore complement it! Note- this is an unspooled reel without fishing line premounted-
