The original skate was too small I got online with Dick's Chat line and within a few minutes a return was processed and a replacement skate was ordered in the correct size. I received the replacement skate in 3 days and the return slip was emailed to me the same day. Dick's went ahead and shipped the skate without me having to purchase the same pair and before they received the incorrect pair back in stock. This was not Dick's error but mine, I ordered the wrong size. The skate is great it looks like a good quality of material and is what I expected. For sporting goods Dick's will get my business.

As a young boy we could n't afford hockey skates so I always wore my sisters figure skates. Much later when I was now on my own I took back into ice skating but this time wearing men's hockey skates. The problem with the men's skates they did n't have toe picks and that was what I really missed. These Tricot Figure Skates in ladies size 11 fit me perfect and they are exactly what I needed to be able to enjoy ice skating again. These were for my two and a half year old grandson. They come with a stamped steel blade that ha no lateral traction. But with a flat file you can ad an edge by filing at slight angle until there is an mildly sharp edge on the out side edge of each blade. It really changes these to a usable skate and my little buddy was truly skating around the rink on his own. We had to pull him off after an hour and a half when the session was over. He absolutely loved it. They stayed on his feet pretty well, until the wing nut losened up a couple of times and allowed the skate to expand and come off. It could use a lock washer to keep it tight, With a little blade sharpening and a lock washer it's perfect for a toddlers first pair of skates. He had almost as much fun as I did.
