I was looking for a small cooler for little day trips and things and of course the sticker shock of the yetis was enough to make your head spin.$ 200 and they are n't even made stateside. Took a stroll down the igloo aisle because it was more of my budget and was surprised to see that they were actually made in USA! The cooler itself is great, it's small and easy to bring with you, but big enough that you can still load a decent amount of stuff in it and whether you use ice or the igloo freezer blocks, it does a great job of keeping things cold for a reasonable amount of time. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend this cooler for small day trips or if you need a lunch box. If you are like a construction worker or a truck driver or something it's perfect for that sort of thing.

Our first camping trip this spring for 5 days. The label says 6 days. Temps were high in low 70's, lows in the 40's. And we came home with ice. Great job. I froze about 15 pounds of meat in ziplocks, and placed in plastic cereal boxed shaped containers. and put two gallons of frozen ice jugs. With about 24 cans and condiments. We came home with a golf ball sized ice cube in the gallon jugs, and cold meat! One more gallon of ice and it would have made 6 days, no doubt. Example is the back of a Honda Odyssey…yes, I ’ m a dad with kids and dogs and one day I ’ ll have a rad car again, but until then I ’ ll settle on having a rad Yeti. But reality is, this fits perfectly behind the third row in the trunk space. Adds a nice spot for the kid to sit when the trunk is open as well. [ My husband and I love this cooler. I ’ ve added some photos to show off a few features. I love the latch to keep the lid closed. That way when we ’ re headed down the road we never have to worry about it toppling over and coming open or the wind pulling the lid open in the back of the truck. I also really like the handles. They have straps so they can extend out and up to give you more flexibility in how you hold it. It also makes it easy to carry on my own with my short arms. It of course has wheels to roll on and they are nice and large so it glides smoothly and easily. The handle extends pretty high. Up to around my chest. So I never have to lean down to roll it along. The inside is quite large both vertically and horizontally so that I can put a variety of different sizes and shaped items in. Watermelon…no problem. Six packs…no problem. Tons of stuff! And it stays so cold for so long. Plus the drain plug has a no lose cap and it ’s position much better than previous coolers I ’ ve owned. The size and the dimension layout work really well for us. It is pretty tight and vertical compared to a different brand cooler that we have that takes up more space in the back of our car, compared to our other cooler with sides that angle out taking more space. The clips/locks are easy to use and work really well. The handle is also substantially more sturdy than other coolers we have used. Very good construction.

I have not been able to put the cooler to the test in the water, but it seems really sturdy and large enough to not tip over. It has a large storage area that can easily accommodate 4 6- packs of beverages. The beverage holders are nice and deep to keep individual drinks upright. It only took a few minutes to inflate all compartments.

Fantastic water source for camping. Kept water nice and cold for several days and provided an easy way to refill bottles and camelbaks with ice cold water for hikes. Keep in mind that 8 lbs of ice will take up 1 gallon of volume. If the water is room temperature when you put it in( like those 5 gallon containers you re- fill at the store) then you will need approximately 12 lbs of ice just to even get it cold( with all the ice now melted and none leftover). So I ’ d recommend pairing 24 lbs of ice with 3 gallons of room temperature water. That should leave you with roughly 4. 5 gallons of ice cold water and 12 lbs of ice to make sure it stays cold.

he DSG Victory Cooler is a great choice if you ’ re looking for a long duration cooler. Best part is it ’s a fraction of the cost of the other brands. My first impression of this cooler is the build quality and attention to detail. I ’ m always happy to see a product made in the USA as well. The cooler feels sturdy and well made. The lid and hinge both feel strong. I personally like the style of the latches and they are easy to open and close. The carry handles are a thick rope material with rubber grips. I found them comfortable even under the weight of a full cooler. I ’ m impressed with some of the good ideas DSG incorporated. Like the integrated bottle opener which also doubles as part of the ability to put a lock on the lid. I also found the non slip pads on the bottom of the cooler to be helpful when transporting the cooler to keep it from sliding around. I received the cooler as a gift as part of a promotion. I have used the 48 QT DSG Victory Cooler for several trips over the last few weeks. The first thing I noticed about it was the excellent build quality and attention to details. It has comfortable rubber handles, which makes carrying it very easy on the hands. The double latch system is super easy to open& close, and the rubber gasket around the inside of the lid really prevents the cold from getting out and the outside temperature from getting in. This cooler also has a built- in bottle opener( which I have not used yet) and an over- sized knob on the attached drain plug. On both of my recent trips, I pre- chilled the cooler with a bag of ice before putting any drinks inside. From there, I simply added minimal ice( 1- 2 bags) just to see how much ice will melt over different periods of use. During my camping trip, we added one large bag of ice on day 1 and at least 40%- 50% of the ice remained on day 3. In fact, when I returned home… I forgot to empty the ice out that night and I was surprised how much ice was still down in the cooler with my remaining water bottles the next morning( day 4). During our last beach outing, I only added one small bag of ice in the cooler. We were only going out for 4 or 5 hours, so I knew we wouldn ’ t need very much. When we finally got back to our vehicle, I tried to drain the water and not much came out at all. I thought maybe the drain plug was blocked… but sure enough, there just wasn ’ t much melted water in the cooler. The cooler was in the sun for the last couple of hours, so I was surprised by how well it retained the ice inside and kept everything super cold. This is a fantastic USA- Made cooler that I can ’ t wait to use on our next family outing! I use this cooler to pack my big lunches and it works great. It could easily fit 24 cans in it if I need it to. It's well constructed and it should last awhile. The lining on the inside makes it easy to clean and it also has a large shoulder strap that's not shown in the photo.
