I agree with everything PatrickM stated in his review. I can only add, you have to purchase the barbell clamp collars separately, but you do n't need them, just good to have. And of course you have to supply the barbells. I was missing a couple of small parts and Customer Service was very helpful and sent without question or charge. The unit is fairly heavy duty for the price. Even without any written instructions, you can easily put it together with the parts schematic. Not really an issue, but would be better with instructions.

I purchased this machine for my home gym. It came extremely well packaged with foam wrapping to protect the finish. Assembly took about 1 hour. Instructions were basically parts diagrams but if you are fairly mechanical you can assemble. For the non- mechanically incline it may be a bit of a struggle. I was super impressed to find a glass bottle of touch up paint included. During assembly I found out that the end caps that go where the leg pads are were missing. I called the customer service number about 5 PM and I was connected to a US customer support rep. He was very friendly and had two new caps in the mail to me, no questions asked, within 5 minutes. This netted major bonus points for Powerline/Body Solid with me. Pros: 1. Good quality tubing and finish. 2. The company has GREAT US customer support. 3. A really nice lat bar with padding and a shorter bar for lower rows. 4. The company cares enough about its product to send a bottle of touch up paintNegatives: 1. I wish there were weight plate storage pegs. I 've discovered that plate storage is a big advantage. 2. The leg pads have two levels of mounting holes. The top was the best for me but leg support is a bit awkward but secure. 3. The machine can slide when doing rows but a rubber pad and/or weight negates this. 4. The clips are a bit small for the two bars and the bars require a bit of finesse to attach. 5. No written assembly directions. In conclusion this machine would be great for any home gym. While the machine has some negative attributes, the positives far outweigh them. Novice through intermediate use would be appropriate for this machine. It's not gym quality although you would pay much more for a commercial level machine.

I 've only been using this for four weeks. The product is sturdy and well constructed. The nylon strap looks and feels like it will provide lasting use. The handle is easy to grip and comfortable in the hands. The seat is comfortable and I 've had no issues with it. I 'm starting out with 30 minute sessions on low level to work on my technique and form and very much like the steady resistance. For older first time users on a rowing machine( I 'm 66), if you have n't already been exercising regularly this will give you a good initial workout at level 1. If you 're like myself and do regularly exercise but have n't used a rowing machine, once you feel comfortable with proper technique and form you 'll be ready to push upwards and this machine has very good resistance settings and built- in programs that will challenge you. Also allows for custom programming. The digital screen is easy to read and simple operations. I 'm very satisfied with this product and highly recommend it!

This rowing machine is wonderful! I did not want to give a full star down- rating for only a minor issue, so will leave my rating at 5 stars. The only issue had to do w/the LCD display attachment. There was a one of 4 screws that did not fit properly in the mounting hardware and my display ended up in a crooked position. However, like I said it's only a minor thing and does not at all impact the functionality of the machine. I 'm so glad that I purchased this rower!!!

We 've had our Aviron for 3 years and it's the most consistently used workout equipment we 've ever owned. The best investment in our health that we could make. I 'm a former college athlete heading into middle age, so I still love working hard and being competitive... but I also need to take it a little easier on my knees. With my Aviron rower, I still get to work as hard as I want, participate in competitions, and not worry about hurting because it's low- impact! The countless programs to choose from match whatever mood I 'm in, so I 'm never bored- which had been the bane of every machine we 've had in the past. Rowing solo or with friends, competitive or casual, whatever intensity I choose, achievements and leaderboards, monthly challenges, streaming movies or listening to my playlists, structured programs that take the guesswork out of what to row next, instructor- led or not... I purchased my Stamina DT Pro Rower, because I have been an avid hiker and my knees were starting to give up the long haul feeling. I had Stem Cell injections in both knees, and after the few weeks of rest needed to get a low impact form of exercise, to help strengthen them. We abandoned our membership at the local gym- thanks Covid-, and Rowing seems to be the one exercise, using the highest percentage of the bodies muscle groups, not to mention getting the cardio I needed. So, how is it going? After 4 weeks, my knees are getting stronger and my core is making great improvement. How I walk and carry myself, takes me years back to a more fit time. The pulse recovery tool, which helps measure how fit your body is, by measuring pulse after the workout has been the best mental tool for me. After my first session, I registered a 4. 1 on the recovery score. Much worse than I thought I would be. The rower was an effective part of my routine for 3 years. Due to having to store it for a few months while remodeling the gym, I drained it. When I set it back up the bowl leaked. I have not been able to fix it. I di not know why it started leaking but it is very frustrating. It appears to be where the screws go in at the bottom. Not sure what can be done at this point.

[ So far so good. The only problem we 've had was with the directions. Some of the pieces were already installed. We do n't have any burning issues as we are in our 70's and do n't row that fast or that long. I do use a seat cushion though. It truly is like rowing a boat.

Due to covid I have been working out from past 2020 at home using just bumper plates, dumbbells and a barbell.
