I agree with everything PatrickM stated in his review. I can only add, you have to purchase the barbell clamp collars separately, but you do n't need them, just good to have. And of course you have to supply the barbells. I was missing a couple of small parts and Customer Service was very helpful and sent without question or charge. The unit is fairly heavy duty for the price. Even without any written instructions, you can easily put it together with the parts schematic. Not really an issue, but would be better with instructions.

I purchased this machine for my home gym. It came extremely well packaged with foam wrapping to protect the finish. Assembly took about 1 hour. Instructions were basically parts diagrams but if you are fairly mechanical you can assemble. For the non- mechanically incline it may be a bit of a struggle. I was super impressed to find a glass bottle of touch up paint included. During assembly I found out that the end caps that go where the leg pads are were missing. I called the customer service number about 5 PM and I was connected to a US customer support rep. He was very friendly and had two new caps in the mail to me, no questions asked, within 5 minutes. This netted major bonus points for Powerline/Body Solid with me. Pros: 1. Good quality tubing and finish. 2. The company has GREAT US customer support. 3. A really nice lat bar with padding and a shorter bar for lower rows. 4. The company cares enough about its product to send a bottle of touch up paintNegatives: 1. I wish there were weight plate storage pegs. I 've discovered that plate storage is a big advantage. 2. The leg pads have two levels of mounting holes. The top was the best for me but leg support is a bit awkward but secure. 3. The machine can slide when doing rows but a rubber pad and/or weight negates this. 4. The clips are a bit small for the two bars and the bars require a bit of finesse to attach. 5. No written assembly directions. In conclusion this machine would be great for any home gym. While the machine has some negative attributes, the positives far outweigh them. Novice through intermediate use would be appropriate for this machine. It's not gym quality although you would pay much more for a commercial level machine.

[ I spent a solid researching rowers( from online reviews to customer opinions to pros/cons of water vs chain vs magnetic resistance). While a Concept 2 was desirable, the price was not! Finally, it was a informational video on Instagram by `` trainingtall '' that convinced me to go with chain/fan resistance rower. Sure, water rowers are quieter and have that soothing sound of rushing water, but you have to worry about( a) adding/removing water to change resistance,( b) make sure you use water conditioner to prevent mold and( c) the risk of eventual leaks. With a fan- based chain rower( as opposed to magnetic), there's no need for a variable settings because the level resistance is determined by how hard you pull. Sure, it's definitely louder but the wind generated by the fan is a welcome benefit for someone like me who tends to sweat more than most during exercise. The unit was very easy to assemble by myself and came with all of the parts and tools I needed. After a few minor seat adjustments to eliminate a slight wobble, I was ready to go in under 45 minutes. I like that the moveable, flexing foot rests have nylon pull straps rather than Velcro( which tends to wear out after extended use). The seat is comfortable and glides smoothly( back- and- forth) along the rail. I purchased an 8' exercise mat to go underneath after watching a YouTube workout video of the Stamina X on a bare floor and seeing how much it moved. With the mat, the rower stays put! I will agree with most of the reviews I 've read- the LCD monitor is pretty basic and rudimentary. It's also at an angle that makes the screen very hard to read( even in bright light). I use it strictly for watching my stroke count and strokes per minute- which it does well. To monitor my heart rate and to get a more accurate assessment of calories burned, I wear a Polar H10 strap connected to an old phone( Velcro 'd to the front of the rail( just below the LCD display). I 've been using the rower for 3 weeks now and I 've been very pleased. It's feels very solid and stable with no wobble whatsoever. I kind of wish the pull bar was a bit wider, but that's just me nitpicking!

Bought this for a Christmas gift for our son after some problems getting set up due to the company that was scheduled to set it up the manager at the Bel Air Md store who took care of the issue and got it taken care of 4 days before Christmas. The first guy that was scheduled to deliver and set up came at 4pm and brought it in the house and then proceeded to tell us it was too late and we will have to reschedule, this was the 18th of December, after no return call from this company I stopped in my local Dicks store and spoke with the manager, he called back later that day and it was set up and ready to go 2 days before Christmas. Set up took about 6 hours with 2 guys who do this for a living, I would recommend paying the extra for set up. The machine itself is very well- built solid equipment, does so many different things, make sure you measure your space. It does not come with weights, so you have to buy them separately. So far, my son and husband are happy with the machine.

I 've only been using this for four weeks. The product is sturdy and well constructed. The nylon strap looks and feels like it will provide lasting use. The handle is easy to grip and comfortable in the hands. The seat is comfortable and I 've had no issues with it. I 'm starting out with 30 minute sessions on low level to work on my technique and form and very much like the steady resistance. For older first time users on a rowing machine( I 'm 66), if you have n't already been exercising regularly this will give you a good initial workout at level 1. If you 're like myself and do regularly exercise but have n't used a rowing machine, once you feel comfortable with proper technique and form you 'll be ready to push upwards and this machine has very good resistance settings and built- in programs that will challenge you. This rowing machine is wonderful! I did not want to give a full star down- rating for only a minor issue, so will leave my rating at 5 stars. The only issue had to do w/the LCD display attachment. There was a one of 4 screws that did not fit properly in the mounting hardware and my display ended up in a crooked position. However, like I said it's only a minor thing and does not at all impact the functionality of the machine. I 'm so glad that I purchased this rower!!!

I purchased my Stamina DT Pro Rower, because I have been an avid hiker and my knees were starting to give up the long haul feeling. I had Stem Cell injections in both knees, and after the few weeks of rest needed to get a low impact form of exercise, to help strengthen them. We abandoned our membership at the local gym- thanks Covid-, and Rowing seems to be the one exercise, using the highest percentage of the bodies muscle groups, not to mention getting the cardio I needed. So, how is it going? After 4 weeks, my knees are getting stronger and my core is making great improvement. How I walk and carry myself, takes me years back to a more fit time. The pulse recovery tool, which helps measure how fit your body is, by measuring pulse after the workout has been the best mental tool for me. The rower was an effective part of my routine for 3 years. Due to having to store it for a few months while remodeling the gym, I drained it. When I set it back up the bowl leaked. I have not been able to fix it. I di not know why it started leaking but it is very frustrating. It appears to be where the screws go in at the bottom. Not sure what can be done at this point.

The flywheel is smooth and the magnetic resistance is easy to operate enabling non jerky resistance changes. I prefer water rowers to any type of rower. You can fill it as much as you like for a strong or light resistance. I keep mine on the lower end so I can row for 15 minutes. Easy to move you lift up the front and you can push it anywhere with the wheels on the back. I pull it out into the sun and other days I keep it in the garage.

One trim piece didn ’ t fit exactly right, so I had to trim it slightly, but was fine. Didn ’ t know if I would like the rowing arms on this machine, but I absolutely love them. [ So far so good. The only problem we 've had was with the directions. Some of the pieces were already installed. We do n't have any burning issues as we are in our 70's and do n't row that fast or that long. I do use a seat cushion though. It truly is like rowing a boat.

Due to covid I have been working out from past 2020 at home using just bumper plates, dumbbells and a barbell. I bought the Marcy Home Gym 7041 and I made the best choice since it can be used to do all the traditional work outs. The quality is excellent and all the safety rods are perfect to avoid injuries.
