My HR is commensurately higher, but my legs and body feel much easier. Just a tremendous shoe for forefoot or midfoot strikers- would not recommend for heel strikers. [ As a busy parent with limited time, I need a shoe that requires minimal break- in and can flex with a chaotic life. The Brooks Launch 12 delivers. These shoes felt great right out of the box with zero break- in period. I took to the streets and a nearby river trail as part of my normal routine and had no discomfort at all throughout the first week( or second) in my feet or knees. The shoe is very light yet surprisingly substantial enough for whatever surface I encountered: pavement, gravel, dirt, and roots. They held securely( without feeling too tight) whether I was hopping over rocks or rounding tight turns. It also provides good breathability through the toe you can feel as you run. The look is understated compared to all of the crazy chunky shoe designs these days which I really appreciate. While I 've been using these primarily for morning running, I 've taken these out for errands and kid events because of their comfort and non- flashy look. Wow, these may be my favorite training shoes ever. I have worn standard Pegasus for years and always found they lacked a little cushioning. I have raced in Vaporflys but felt that they lacked stability. The Pegasus Premiums seems like the perfect blend of the two, with great springiness and cushioning but also with good stability. [ A big improvement over the Pro 3 comfort- wise. They fixed the laces rubbing over the the first toe joint and elasticized the sides of the tongue so it lays flat. For me this was fine over a half marathon, no toe or toenail issues or blisters. I also like the all- white color-- not overly conspicuous. Great shoe.

These are my first pair of running shoes with the carbon. They are excellent. I PR ’ d a 5k in these and can ’ t wait to run my 10k in them. The neon yellow and purple color way are fire. They run a little narrow and fit a little smaller in the toe box than the EVO sl so half size up if you wouldn ’ t like the tighter fit. I love these shoes.

I ’ ve had a few ankle sprains in the past, so I ’ m always a little cautious with my footwear, but these give just the right amount of support and make it way easier on my ankles, even during longer walks. They ’ re lightweight with a sleek design that doesn ’ t make my feet look bulky( which I really appreciate as someone with wide feet who usually sticks to a more basic brand), and the breathable upper keeps my feet cool, even when I ’ m walking over 3 miles in that intense southern heat.
