I ’ ve got the white version and although they state to not machine wash, I just can ’ t help myself. I do a lot of running and get them pretty dirty. Over the years of the forerunner 5. 0 I ’ ve bought at least 10 pairs, the it ’s the only shoe to help and solve my lower back problems from the military. Pretty disappointed not to see a new version or relaunch of popular colorways. Most comfortable shoe feels like house shoes but not! I wear therm daily working in roofing sales and inspections they work great for traction and stability on those shingle surfaces not as much metal. Tends to get slick.

Okay I definitely struck gold when I chose these Nikes for my next run the way they hug your feet is simply perfect design they are so lightweight I have nothing on when wearing them. They also promote comforting heel security for some reason I guess just the way they hug so well. You can throw them on faster than a flip- flop and they stick to your foot harder than glue. purchased from nike, not Dicks. But i have seen a lot of non- typical reviews that may dissuade someone from giving these shoes a chance. I have over 300 damage- free miles on these shoes and i am just now looking at getting a replacement pair. not due to damage, but just due to the zoomX foam losing its `` springiness '' which is typical for it over time. I started wearing these shoes coming from wearing nike free's for years and just wanted to give something else a try that is lightweight and without a carbon fiber plate. These shoes will not `` destroy '' your ankles if you are already adept to wearing a minimalist- style shoe. These are not true minimalist, but they are very lightweight, lighter than my minimalist shoes, and have a very low heel- toe drop. Both of these specs can compete with minimalist shoes. Coming from wearing minimalist shoes, my ankles, feet, and lower legs are strengthened to adapt to the less cushioning and stability. If you transition to these shoes straight from wearing `` traditional '' trainers, there will be an adjustment period and you may decide its not for you. That is not a knock on the shoe, but more of a characteristic of this style of shoe. I transitioned to these shoes pretty seamlessly from my Nike frees. Streakfly's are the lightest shoe Nike makes, and extremely flexible. Like wearing socks. This is what i look for in a shoe, and something to consider for anyone looking at giving these a try. It is a very fast shoe, but it will lose its responsiveness over time due to the exposed ZoomX foam. They can still be used when this happens though. I am not happy that Nike decided to add a carbon fiber plate to the new Streakfly's, although Nike did make the shoe even lighter. I uses these shoes as a daily trainer and do not want to run with a carbon fiber plate every time, this can cause injury. i am currently looking for deals on these shoes from other sellers because they are not for sale through Nike anymore and i want to pick up another pair before they are completely gone. Bottom line, if you are someone that is already used to wearing a lightweight, flexible shoe, with low drop, you should really give this shoe a try. If not, there will be a transition period before you can wear this shoe all the time. When i transitioned to minimalist, i went through several shoes of gradually decreasing weight and drop in order to let my body strengthen and acclimate.

Miraculously light shoe! Probably one of the best short- distance racing shoes on the market. Given their durability, I would n't use them as anything but racing/speedwork shoes. But for what they bring to the table I would definitely recommend them to anyone planning on speeding up their 5K times without a carbon- plate!

I just bought my fourth pair. I wear them all the time, short sprints, long distance, ive worn my current pair throughout training for 2 half marathons and one half race. I guess they wear out quicker than average shoe but i keep running in them and rejecting my `` normal '' running shoes that give me calluses on my big toe. [ I 've had dozens of running shoes in the past and this is probably my all time favorite. Springy, light, comfortable. Considerably more lively than my Boston 12s. Probably destined to last a while too based on the Lightstrike Pro shoes I 've had in the past. Upper so comfortable I took it out for an HM for their second run without issue. I have a somewhat wide foot and historically Adidas shoes have needed a little breaking in around the little toe to work for me. Not so on these, but I could see the upper being a bit roomy for those with narrow feet. Great grip from the outsole, as expected for a modern Adidas shoe. If I needed to come up with a complaint, I wish the tongue was gusseted so it did n't move around when I was putting on the shoe.

I 've been using the gore- Tex trail shoes with Currex high arch insoles for more than a year of consecutive daily running. I was doing more trail/gravel running til late winter& switched to the track for later runs. This is my first carbon plate Nikes and I ca n't believe how much faster& lighter they feel on my feet. Of course now I want to try the vapor/alphas as well. I have really high arches and it is like they made this shoe to fit me perfectly. I may end up putting my insoles in but I had not even needed them for my first week of runs in them. I 'm definitely going faster than I 'd even imagined. Great shoes. I 'd love to see more colorways. I actually worked in them the first night I got them and had several complements. I felt like I was Tigger from Winnie the Pooh bouncing around the hospital all night.

I ’ m relatively new to road racing( having done just one half marathon this year) and this is my first carbon shoe. My warm up mile was light and breezy in this shoe and my speed work was definitely faster than normal. I struggled to run slow in these shoes for my cool down mile- your feet turnover fast in these shoes. I did have to size up a half size from a 7. 5 to 8, but super pleased after just one run. I worry that the 8mm drop is a little too high for me to use on long runs tho, but we ’ ll see.

Good looking shoe out of the box, and super light weight!! depending on which Nike shoe I buy, I ’ m a 9. 5/10W, so I went with a 10W to give my toes extra room. Perfect fit with enough room. After putting them on the shoes were super comfortable very spongy and supportive. Took them out for a 3 mile run the next day and they were amazing, responsive, no heel slippage, feet weren ’ t sliding, and honestly make you want to go faster. Can ’ t speak on previous models of the zoom x as i never tried them out, but would definitely recommend this one if you ’ re looking for a daily trainer for short, longer miles, speed work etc.

4th and last pair of Pro3 ’s sadly. Love this shoe!! Pity it ’s gone out of production. Just works, outsole lasts, i( 86kg) get 600km+, great bounce, “ toe off ” and snug feel. You just need to work out the bottom lace fit/ looseness else it can rub on big toe knuckle if too tight. Top race day shoe, not much in it between this and other “ super shoes ”. This outsole just lasts longer. Onto Pro4 ’s, which look great but sadly sound bit softer, less mileage outsole and not getting amazing reviews atm from mates. C'est la vie
