This is a great pot when it comes to cooking pasta, we used it to make spaghetti for a large group we were able to make multiple batches of noodle easily without having to drain the pot, all we had to do was add more water.

I have been cooking large quantities for groups and I want to make buffalo wings. Bought one to see if would serve my needs and did it ever! They came out perfect. 5 stars if they come up with a center piece and lid for steaming. Going to purchase another pot and use my Expedition 2X stove at the next hang!

[ Packability is superb. Have n't had the chance to use yet, but definitely looking forward to the extra space in the pack. The reversible handle seems well made. I wonder if the handle will get really hot while cooking? I 'm hoping the next gen design, in regards to the handle and lid, will allow for a more snug fit while in travel mode. The lid seems to have a tendency to sneak past the handle. Nonetheless, excellent design!

Excellent new pot set! Did a 2 day overnight backpack trip on the Appalachian Trail with my niece and nephew. Great weight for all that is in there, and I love that everything fits inside the pot. Upon receiving the 6 piece Sea to Summit Frontier Cook Set – everything about it suggests top quality. The packaging is robust and signifies that high quality gear is within. I took set on a 3 day/2 night kayak camping trip I was leading for a group of 11 people. I shared the kit with the group to get their impressions as well. At less than 2 lbs( 1lb 13oz) this set offers a very high value for the weight being carried. Admittedly, this was a kayak camping trip, so weight is not that big of a factor, volume is more important. The set fit easily within my kayak. The new Click- Safe handle design is brilliant although some people seemed to struggle with it at first. It is actually really simple to use and really makes the pot feel like a one- piece pot – super sturdy. The 2L and 3L sizes give you plenty of flexibility to prepare just about anything in the wilderness. While the strainer lids are becoming standard on outdoor cookware, they are integral to the frontier lids and worked really well for draining pasta. The addition of the Sea to Summit Frontier Ultralight Pan would make this a comprehensive cook set. The pots cooked food nicely and seemed to have good heat distribution. I used the 3L to mix a cake mix that I was baking in a dutch oven and used a metal wisk to mix it. There were no marks at all on the inside of the pot – suggesting a very robust no- stick coating that will not scratch easily. The inclusion of two nice bowls and covered cups is really nice. We used both the bowls and the cups on this trip. Although very light, they are sturdy and were easy to hold with hot food in them. The spill proof lids on the cups are a nice feature and the cups did well for both morning coffee and evening wine. One comment/observation a number of people had( including the author) was that it would be nice if the set came in a bag( mesh or otherwise) to protect the outside of the 3L pot. The other comment I received from a few people is it was a little hard to see the graduation numbers inside the pot( maybe make them bigger for the next generation?). All in all, this is a fantastic set that will delight the outdoor chef. It is well thought out and the new Click- Safe handle design is a winner – really makes it feel like a solid one piece pot. A thought on a bag – maybe Sea to Summit could list the recommended Ultra- Sil or Big River dry bag size as part of the product description? Thanks again Sea to Summit for manufacturing well thought out, high quality gear!

[ I ’ ve always used a titanium or stainless steel set up for expeditions, but this kit ’s utility was apparent right away for sea kayaking expeditions. It ’s impressive packability is so much easier to cram into small hatches and any small voids. I really appreciate this factor the most. I wondered how it would hold up to my typical backpacking/kayaking stoves. A full, high burn on my usual stove( I use the MSR Pocket Rocket) caused no issues- it was a very quick boil for a full pot, actually, and the blue flame beneath the pot didn ’ t come anywhere close to the suggested max flame extent. I was kind of surprised that the instruction text on the bottom of the pot was not even affected. When you add in the two plates, two cups, and two bowls included in this kit- and it still packs as small(!)- the total weight is very backpack friendly especially if you are traveling with a partner or group. If I am solo, I would just take a small portion of the kit, and it is very comparable to my titanium gear ’s weight( but far more packable.) I honestly wasn ’ t sure when I first saw this kit that I would swap it out for my metal gear, but testing it out has sold me on it earning a place in my kayak programs. One ask: if they added or sold a snap lid for the bowl, I would love to make it my snack/lunch carrier in my day hatch as a swap for the Tupperware I usually use.

[ The pots are firstly well made and have a nice fit/ finish. I like the sizes as they provide good options. I feel like some others are either too large or too small. The handle is nice that it can be removed and it ’s easy to snap back on when needed. The nesting storage is always good as well. Only thing that could be lighter is possibly titanium but it ’s extremely light for the set and I don ’ t think that would be worth changing. One thing that could be nice is the handle interface being on the lid as well to snap into just to not be fighting steam with your hands but not a deal breaker. Good pot set and might end up getting another set here soon. Do recommend

I 've used the collapsible 1. 4L pot from Sea to Summit for a couple of years now and really enjoy how compact it is, so I was a little hesitant on the non- collapsibility of these pots. I was concerned about filling these pots up with items that might scratch the non- stick finish. They include a nice cloth that allows the smaller pot to nest into the larger pot and protect them from each other. I used that cloth and a bag to put my stove, fuel, all of my dishes, and utensils, plus my LED light strip into the 3L pot. It's all kept in nicely by the handle clicked over the lid. The 3L size was not as much of an issue as I thought it would be, just stuff more stuff into it! I have a large set of pots/ pans and the 3L size Frontier is easily the best volume/ weight ratio of any of them. Even including the handle in the weight. The non- stick is AWESOME and the bottom heats very evenly. I enjoyed cooking in this much more than my 1. 4L collapsible pot. The lid `` hook '' for placing the lid on the side of the pot is a nice feature... always hard to find a clean place for your lid! I also had no problem keeping the lid in place for draining pasta, nice solid lid fit on the pot. My only `` issue '' is the bottom of the pots has an `` indent ''. This is great for strength, but the diameter of the indent is slightly smaller than my optimus crux stove... so the pot is a little unstable/ off- kilter on the stove. Still 5 stars overall. This is a great pot set.

[ First off why I gave four stars. The handle is too heavy for the small pot. When empty with handle attached the pot tips over. I use these with my overland set up so space is not an issue. The pots are well made and distribute heat evenly. Clean up is easy because of the non stick surface. I like how the pots nest into each other with the handles inverted also securing the lids. The microfiber towel in between the two pots is a nice touch to insure the pots don ’ t scratch themselves in transport. These replaced an old MSR cook set that I had for over 30 years. They were much bigger but too big for what I needed. I can cook for two people with the Sea to Summet set plenty of capacity. All in all very pleased.

[ I received The Frontier UL One Pot Cook Set, which comprises three pieces, from Influenster to test and review honestly. I added this set to our camper for our weekends in the woods where we cook over a fire. I must say, first and foremost, that this set is great. It fits inside the pot, and the lid locks down using the handle of the pot. It held up really well over the fire. It did n't take long for it to come to a boil. The cup is sturdy and made of thick material that wo n't burn your hands. It also has a lid, so spilling is n't a problem. The bowl is sturdy and deep, perfect for eating stew or anything hot. It cleaned up easily after use and packed up tightly for our next campfire cookout.

[ The Frontier Ultralight 2L Pot: I 've used this pot for two months now, just in my home kitchen. I have not used this camping, hiking, backpacking, etc. yet; I 'm testing it and getting accustomed to it. I cook on an electric stove( wire type, not glass) to boil water for tea, reheat meals, and cook. So far it's been very cool and has worked excellently. It is very light. It does not feel flimsy or weak. The handle function is very slick; the connections are solid. The lid works great for keeping in steam( 1 cup of water on high heat with the lid on boils in three or so minutes). The lid strainer works well. The lid keeper tab is really neat for storing the lid, though while stirring, the lid will likely slip off. The handle folded for storage secures the lid well, there's no rattling or movement of any parts. The measurement gradations are helpful and easy to see. The non- stick surface is terrific. I 'd be wary of washing other dishes in it due to the non- stick surface. I love the 2L size for all purposes and use it for sauteing, boiling, reheating, and cooking. I have not packed this, carried it long distances, or used it outside so I can not review the `` backpacking weight '' or long- term function. I suspect this would work terrifically for all those activities. I love my Frontier Ultralight 2L pot!

[ These are the products are the ones I get excited about. If you do any outdoor cooking, hiking, or camping, then you know how much needed these are. We are a Scouts family, and so we 're always looking for the best and most affordable products and equipment to make the outdoors easier and better. The products are made of stainless steel. Stainless steel makes it fast and easy to cook with. I love the fact that it's all collapsible! Everything fits in the pot! So easy to take for camping. It is n't very heavy either! I 've never seen the lock feature handles that it has. It's so cool and easy to keep your food or containers secured. Another quality that these pots have is the compatability it has with a gas cooker. Sometimes, a small burner is all you have outdoors when hiking. It's also easy to clean like any other stainless steel product. Overall, I highly recommend this product and wish every scout or outdoorsman had one. Thank you, Influenster and Sea, to Summit for sending me this product free of charge in exchange for my honest review.

When I 'm backpacking I 'll heat up my water directly in my jet boil, but I 'm delighted to know I have another option for backcountry boiling if I need it. One thing to be aware of: keep the handles positioned above the lid while boiling, they get hot. And since the lid is removable, I usually pour with my dominant hand and put a finger on the rubber part on the lid to hold it in place. Can be quite steamy while pouring it out, so watch your fingers!

[ I got this for free@ Influenster and now for the honest review. I took it to go camping last week, it was portable and easy to use, using to boil water was as easy as it gets, the only problem I had with it, was that it had a smaller water capacity and I wish it was bigger. It was a quick boil though as it heats very quick.

[ Loving this as it is perfect for camping. The kettle is very well made and sturdy. Perfect size for two people and works well when heating up water or other liquids. Water heats well and the heat is distributed well. I love how it folds up so it makes it easy to pack and store.

[ This is the best idea so far. We go camping every year and finding something that ’s compact to use for boiling any water is a struggle. This bundles up so well and travels easily. The size is not too ideal as you can maybe boil 2 cups of water but, it ’s so worth it. I was worried about how it would hold up to our camping stove but it did great. A definite addition to our camping trips. Even regular trips. The size and is perfect to put in a suitcase!

GSI is an incredible company. They replaced for free without any shipping charges or questions two different lids from another cooking set I had borrowed so I was very comfortable buying this set for myself. I was not disappointed. If you need a compact, durable, and versatile cooking set this is the one to buy. It contains everything I need to cook, eat, and drink well on a trip plus it is easily cleaned and stored.

The Ceramic Skillet is excellent. Nothing burns or sticks, no toxic non- stick coating that will peel off and contaminate the food, easy to clean. Highly recommend.

It worked better than I expected. I did n't have to use any oil when making pancakes. They turned out very well. I 'm super impressed with how this pan performed.

Bought this skillet to go in conjunction with the four person flex mess kit. The skillet fits under the smaller pot and can be all packet together. Love it. Works great. It is a bit fragile so you have to be aware not to be rough on it, but regular use pack in for back country trips it works great.( My old MSR steel frying pan and Sierra cup I used to tie to the back of my pack to make noise on my sold trips in Alaska, and other heavily populated bear country) Would not recommend doing that with this! But as far as function, it ’s awesome. Light, cooks fast, even, and easy to clean. Using this over a Optimus nova stove.

As much as I love a good dehydrated meal on the trail, I recently decided I wanted the ability to cook up some proper food so I went on the hunt for a lightweight skillet, and the MSR ceramic skillet absolutely delivered. I was a bit worried about some of the reviews saying the pan would warp or the ceramic coating would burn off, especially since I 'm using it with my small pocket rocket 2 stove, however this was n't the case at all. Just do n't assume you can crank the heat to hi and leave the skillet in one place, as long as you are active while cooking and move the skillet around so the heat disperses a bit more evenly and you modulate the gas, you 'll be cooking up 5 star meals in the backcountry. Just got back from a multi day thru hike and cooked up steak and potatoes for dinner one night, and bacon and eggs the next morning, what a moral boost while on the trail when you have 10+ miles to go that day. I paired the skillet with the alpine plate( which is also the perfect size to use as a lid for the skillet), the universal canister stand for extra stability( I 'd say this is crucial if you 're using a 4oz fuel canister, I 'd almost definitely knock the stove/skillet over without it), and the alpine spatula just for the sake of convenience and saving the ceramic coating. All in all very happy with the purchase and I look forward to cooking many more meals in the backcountry!

Designed as a tea kettle, I use this a a fairly small cooking pot when I want to do more than boil water with my Jetboil. [ Basic, affordable and durable, this stainless steel mug is also suitable as a mini pot. Smartly sized to stow common cylindrical items( fuel canisters, 1L bottles) inside to maximize pack space. Handle collapses as expected for backpacking. [ This pot is a great size for our family of 4, nice to have something lightweight but still large enough to boil water and make some annie's mac and cheese. The lid has a built in strainer, so that was another item that we could take out of the camping bin- huge space saver. It is NON STICK which means do n't pack a handful of titanium sporks in it before the drive home.( side eyes my husband). While you 're at it, make sure you grab some lightweight plastic/silicone spatulas etc. and do n't use those titanium sporks to stir anything in the pot either. We also bought the frying pan, the two stack well. Perfect for car camping, we 're big fans.

[ I love how easily compact- able this kettle set is compared to a non collapsible kettle when packing, it saved me so much room and I didn ’ t have to worry about losing a cup when they pack perfectly inside with the little rubber band. I used this with my gas camper stove and it heated up the water for my water surprisingly quickly for me, considering all the rubber. It did insulate the liquid and kept my drink hot for a good while compared to my all metal mug! Definitely getting more collapsing food gear.

I have a Genesis Basecamp System that I bring on all sorts of adventures, but primarily canoe trips where weight is n't a concern and appetites are massive. Adding a second 5L pot to that kit makes it super easy to cook up big meals for larger groups of people( 6- 10 on some trips). The FluxRing makes this pot so much more efficient than any traditional flat- bottom pot, and with the lid I can store my other cooking gear inside without taking up more space. A must- have if you cook for larger groups.
5

Perfect pot for our van- life set up. good size to make a meal for four people. When used on top of a Jetboil Genesis Basecamp stove it heats up quick and the flux ring helps keep the wind out. It boils water in a fraction of the time it takes in a standard pot, with commensurate savings in fuel usage. It is sturdy and well made, and quite lightweight too.

This is the perfect size to make a meal for a group of 4- 8 people. When used on top of a Jetboil Genesis Basecamp stove it heats up quick and the flux ring helps keep the wind out. Might get a second one since you can fit two of them side by side on the stove.

I recently purchased the Detour Stainless Steel dinnerware set, and it is fantastic. I already own many pieces from the Frontier Ultralight collection and this new set is a different dimension in collapsible dinnerware. The cups may be best- they hold 16 oz of my favorite beverages, from morning juice to evening beer. They 're very sturdy but pack down small, and while not as light as the Frontier cups, they may replace them even on backpacking trips. The bowls are super cool, too. They collapse small and have a rubberized ring on the bottom side, preventing them from sliding around. The bowls are big and wide enough to serve double duty as bowls or plates, so I think the cup and bowl combo will be my new backpacking setup. The plates are great, too, and have the same ring on the bottom side, but those will likely stay in the campervan. Overall I highly recommend this set for anyone looking to raise the bar on their dinnerware.

This is a great camping set. This is not a custom chef kitchen set. If you are looking for that this is not your purchase. If you are looking for a quality enameled steel camping set this is a great buy for the price. I purchased the Pioneer Camp Set in blue and additional pieces over a year and half ago. My husband and I have used the set multiple times with no issues. We use ours on a 2 burner propane stove top and have not experienced any issues with overheating of the enamel finish. Cleanup has been easy. Percolator coffee has been awesome!!! Still looks new! Would purchase again and would recommend to a friend.

I have not used the one that I ordered as of yet. I bought this because a buddy of mine has it and have used it a few times and it is great. Much lighter than my old setup and is much faster, meaning less fuel. I do n't mind that it does n't have an igniter, I tend to just throw a mini Bic in the cup and leave it there, not to mention I always have another lighter with me for emergencies.

[ The Zip 0. 8L is my new go to stove for most adventures! It is easy to use even without the directions since the labeling on the jetboil illustrates the proper usage. This is the first of the jetboil systems I have owned and I am very pleased with its functionality. I have been able to use it quite a bit this winter and it boiled water quickly even in negative Fahrenheit conditions and higher elevations( tested around 10000 ft). Changing the amount of heat is smooth with the dial and it is seamless to ignite. My favorite part is the lid that makes it effortless to pour hot water out and the additional holes if you need to control the water you drain out. The system is also very easy to clean and pack. I plan to use it not only for ski/snowshoe days but also on my next camping trip to Norway since it's so small and easy to pack. Jetboil gave me this free product to try.

[ Jet boil gave me this product to try. I could n't be happier with it. I 've used it winter camping in the Beartooths in Montana and I was amazed how well it worked and how efficient it was. Highly recommended!

[ Jetboil gave me this free product to try. As a bikepacker who values lightweight, compact gear, the Jetboil Zip 0. 8 has become my go- to stove for all my adventures. After using it on several long- distance bikepacking trips, I can confidently say that this stove is a game- changer. First off, the lightweight design is perfect for bikepacking. It's small and packs down easily, fitting into my gear without taking up much space. It is super light, it wo n't weigh you down, which is essential when you 're trying to keep your gear minimal and efficient on the trail. The boil time is impressive for such a compact system. I can bring water to a boil in about 2 minutes, which is fast enough for a quick morning coffee or preparing a meal after a long day of riding. It saves me time and energy, so I can get back on the trail sooner. I also love how fuel- efficient the Zip is, especially since bikepacking often means you need to carry enough fuel for several days. The stove's FluxRing technology ensures an even boil while using less fuel, so I can stretch my fuel canister further- saving both weight and space in my panniers. One feature I particularly appreciate for bikepacking is the neoprene cover which helps to insulate the pot while also keeping you from burning your hands. It's built to handle the bumps and jostles of being packed alongside other gear in my bike bags. The stove fits nicely into the pot, with room for a fuel canister, matches and utensils. I also like that the plastic cup used to protect the Fluxring has volume measurements on it in case you need to measure out a small amount of water. The Jetboil Zip might not have all the bells and whistles of more advanced models, but it's incredibly effective for what I need on the trail. It's affordable, reliable, and just the right size for my bikepacking setup. If you 're planning a bikepacking trip and want a stove that's efficient, easy to use, and does n't weigh you down, I highly recommend the Jetboil Zip Cooking System. It's simple, durable, and perfect for fueling your outdoor adventures.

[ I have used the older versions of the jetboil, and they have streamlined a few things. For instance the regulator knob is indicated with a+ and- diagram. This may seem trivial but I frequently try and turn up the flame and turn off the gas. Not that big of a deal but I instantly noticed this and now always know which way to adjust the volume. Great product!!

I purchased this item, with the french press attachment, to take on primitive camp outings with the boy scouts. This worked perfect for what I purchased it for, which was the ability to have hot coffee in the mornings. Also took it on day backpacking trips to have a hot lunch. This item would be good for any beginner looking for a stove/pot lightweight combo.

I bought two of these stash. Cook sets one for myself and one for my sister. My sister had experienced a really bad storm in DFW without power so I sent her one of these so she could make lentils and rice. It came in clutch! The second use case I have for it is… I feed my dog, the honest kitchen brand food, which is basically freeze dried human grade, but in powder form. You basically mix it up with hot water and make a nice thick porridge. I keep one in my truck so that I could quickly heat up or barely warm up the water to make a hot meal for my coco pup basically anywhere we are! Plug: i also own the 3 other JetBoils. The Genesis full system, micro mo and mini mo. Took the mini mo to Banff and made the Food- for- sole brand meals. It was amazing to have it take care of 6 people using it taking turns. We had our food and a gallon of water. Spent the entire day at lake lousie and kept everyone nourished. They all have a place in our camp setup.

Vastly improved design over the holder that came with my Alpine SS pots several years ago. Personally I like having two holders with me which is why I bought this one for my latest trip. I find it almost a requirement to have two for dumping water out of a pot. Plus it's nice on the longer excursions with new people to have two in case one accidentally disappears. MSR has clearly done their research. Compared to the original holder this is incredibly better.
