Bought a pair of these in 2001 and they were ready to be sent back to Danner for new soles. Come to find out my wife and mother in law sold that pair in a yard sale..:( Waited things out and they came on sale at Dick's for just under$ 285. Pulled the trigger for another pair of 8 EE's and just could not be more pleased. This time, bought the new Danner DXT Comfort Insoles( direct for Danner), and they made the best hiking boot, even better. Yeah, They are a lot of money, but they are well worth every penny. With the Mountain light IIs, 1/2 size down is the right fit for me with the EE wide fit. And, Dick's had the boots at our front door in two days!!!

Outstanding leather hiking boot with quality construction and made in USA. I like wool socks in winter so I went up 1 size and wide EE width to accommodate extra width and room in toe box. Dicks has 5 star customer service online and in the store!!

I 've been researching hiking boots for several months and Asolo's products kept coming up over and over as the premier choice among experienced hikers. I was impressed by the loyalty of Asolo customers, and liked the look and reported performance of the Asolo Fugitive GTX Boot. Initially, I purchased the same size as my other boots, a 9 1/2. Upon the first test fit, I knew they were too small and returned the pair for a half size larger. The size 10 fit perfectly, but I will caution that these boots run a bit narrow( I do not have particularly large feet). Asolo thoughtfully offers `` wide '' sizes as well. I christened my new pair of Fugitives by taking a 33 mile trek on the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina in early March. The trail had a good bit of snow, ice and mud. Temperatures during the three day trip ranged from 17 to 64 degrees( F), and included periods of rain and snow. The boots performed beautifully in terms of thermal and waterproof qualities. Also, these boots are very easy to put on, which is a plus when going for that 1am potty run in the cold. My only criticism of the design is that the insole is made of an extremely hard material. By day three, the balls of my feet were hurting pretty badly, and definitely detracted from the enjoyment of my trip. Adding an extra layer of socks helped marginally. I 've never experienced this problem before, so, upon arriving back home, I compared the insole to that in my older boots. Big difference; my older( HiTec) boots( which are falling apart after 15 years) have a much softer insole. I love the Asolo Fugitive GTX Boot, but will definitely add a gel insole prior to my next trip. These are, by far, the nicest( and most expensive) hiking boots I 've ever owned, and would definitely recommend them to others, but with the cautions regarding the sizing and insole material. I hope to add a couple thousand comfortable miles to these boots in the years to come.

Bought these Danner's mid May 2021- size 10. 5 medium Dusty Olive. Over the course of 11 days& 3000 miles, we visited Arches, Canyon Lands, Dead Horse Point, Zion, Sequoia, King's Canyon, Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. These hiking boots are awesome right out of the box with no break in period required. Narrow toe box so I went up ½ size. I highly recommend these mid ankle hiking boots for any& all trail types.

The first time I tried on the Danner Trail 2650 4 ” boot, I knew this was the boot for me. Fit, height, weight, durability were perfect. No break- in needed. Only problem was availability. Apparently every other outdoor adventurer has the same opinion, because all stores were either out or low on inventory…. except Dick ’s. Not only did Dick ’s have my size in the color I wanted, they had TWO pair. Without the slightest feeling of greediness, I bought them both.

I bought these boots about month ago. Very comfortable excellent ankle support, great traction in mud or soft ground. True to fit size. Buy it!!!!

I ’ ve had these boots a month and so far they are great. Keep my feet dry and after a short break in period they are comfortable. There is a seam in the heel that if you tighten the laces too tight it will rub but I figured out I didn ’ t need the laces that tight. Overall a quality pair of boots.

This boot the sizing has changed slightly they are smaller in the toe box. I went with a half size larger but I probably could have stayed with my regular size 10 and just broke them in. They are to me a light version on the quest boots that are much heavier and clunck than these. I 've bought a few different salomon hiking boots over the years and you ca n't go wrong if you are a day hiker with these they are agile and do n't slip dry or wet they get the job done and protect your feet in every situation. Excellent boots for summer to fall hiking that will last.

Finally found a hiking boot that works for my wide foot and narrow heel! So comfortable... feels like wearing a running shoe. But has the support, durability, GTX and traction I like for hiking on snow, ice, and dirt. And waterproof+ zero drop too! Lace system makes it easy to adjust for different socks. Just feels good to wear, which I have not yet found in a hiking boot. And I have tried a lot!

I bought these for hotter climate like Arches, Bryce, and Zion parks to hike and for longer distances. Unbelievable comfortable and lots of traction I needed. Love these!

I wore these hikers during my recent trip to Northern California. My feet stayed dry during heavy downpours of rain on trail hikes and walking on the beach. My only problem was the tongue on my left shoe rubbed against my ankle. I wore thicker socks and that helped the situation.

I want to love them. They are extremely light and the ankles feel supportive without digging. Unfortunately they are a half size too small for me. I was also disappointed to see they arrived dirty and scuffed, with muddy soles and dog hair inside and out.

I was disappointed that these boots were not offered in wide so I did not pursue purchasing them. Then I saw they were in stock at a Dicks SP by the house and thought I should at least go down and try them on. I am so glad I did as the normal size fit and they have become more comfortable the more I have worn them.

These have to be the lightest most comfortable hiking boot I 've ever worn.
Lightweight Gore-Tex boots are ideal for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, backpacking, and casual walking. Their waterproof and breathable properties make them suitable for wet conditions while providing comfort during extended wear. They are particularly beneficial for those who need a balance of support and agility on the trails.
Lightweight Gore-Tex boots are designed to be more agile and less bulky than traditional hiking boots, making them easier to maneuver on various terrains. They often feature a streamlined design that prioritizes breathability and comfort without sacrificing waterproof protection. This makes them a great choice for those who prefer speed and flexibility in their footwear.
Lightweight Gore-Tex boots typically incorporate a combination of synthetic materials and leather, which enhance durability while keeping the weight down. The Gore-Tex membrane is crucial for waterproofing and breathability, allowing moisture to escape while preventing water from entering. This combination ensures that the boots remain comfortable and functional in diverse weather conditions.
Lightweight Gore-Tex boots can be suitable for multiple seasons, particularly in wet or variable weather conditions. They provide excellent waterproof protection, making them a good choice for spring and fall hikes when rain is more common. However, for extreme winter conditions, additional insulation may be necessary to keep feet warm in colder temperatures.
When selecting lightweight Gore-Tex boots, consider factors such as fit, intended use, and terrain. A proper fit is essential for comfort and performance, so trying them on with the socks you plan to wear is advisable. Additionally, think about the type of activities you'll be doing, as some designs may offer more support or traction for specific environments.
