I switched from the ProV1X to the Chrome Tour this winter and spring. Definitely noticed there is less spin on my drives, allowing for more consistency and distance. Even better when playing in windy conditions. The Chrome Tours still provides plenty of spin coming onto the greens. I 've played ProV1s for several years, but I 'm getting older and losing speed. This ball feels soft but still has goid carry and bite on the green. Slightly cheaper does n't hurt. Good all around golf ball.

I 've used a number of golf balls in my golfing career usually opting for the cheaper ones. I 'm a high single digit index and that has worked for me for quite a while. I decided to try these as they are a step up from what I normally use not expecting much difference. I was surprised. I like the soft feel and I do n't feel like I 've lost any distance( over the Velocity's). The added benefit is that I 'm getting more spin now. Of course that means I have to learn how to control and use that spin.

I picked up a sleeve of these to try along with a dozen of the Chrome Soft X. Im 53 and my swing speed has come down from 111 to 100 with the driver. I was expecting the CS X to be a better fit for me because of the lower clubhead speed, thinking I would need the extra spin and higher flight. However, the LS version blew me away. Unbelievable driver distance and extremely straight ball flight. I typically hit a draw that has recently turned into more hooks off the tee at times. I ’ m getting my timing back with the change in clubhead speed and this ball has helped with that because I know when I hit it it ’s going straight where I aim. Confidence inspiring, and it checks up much better than the CS X. Feel is solid off the putter and distance control is much better. I believe Callaway built this ball specifically for higher spin players like myself who don ’ t like to work the ball much and need extra distance off the tee. It ’s sad it ’s discontinued. I have several dozen to get me through this season and possibly next season tho. I get technology changing and ball development evolving but I truly believe Callaway should make this ball a staple in their lineup. Highly recommend you try this ball if you struggle with too much spin, especially with the driver.
