I bought this jacket for my son for Christmas and he absolutely loves it

5 Jim98
I purchased jacket about month ago and am thrilled with. Even though light, it is very warm. I would highly recommend as a light but very warm winter jacket.

5 Saha09
[ This is not my first one. I have 7 THE NORTH FACE Men ’s Apex Elevation Jackets. From 2015 this is my 7 one. I love this jacket because of is windwall technology and light weight. And this is my everyday jacket. In extreme cold its jacket keeps me warm. Loved it.

5 Jk13235
I was very picky about choosing a winter coat. Am very happy with my decision. Could walk outside with no shirt underneath the jacket in 10 degree weather and was still very warm.

5 Liuhoe
This jacket is made by good feath, I will recommend this jacket for causel days. Not too cold.

5 MTM57
I bought this for a specific purpose, to put in my backpack. I walk the logging roads every morning and I start with it on. It ’s lighter and warmer than a sweatshirt, it keeps the wind out, and when it ’s time to take it off it folds up small and fits nicely in my little daypack. Not only all that, I think it looks sporty.

I` ve just recently purchased the Breithorn jacket, having a 3 year prior experience with the same name down hoodie. I love the form of it, the slight update of the design and the Pertex fabric.

Wonderful multi- purpose jacket. Plenty of places to carry things with you. It 's warm enough for most days, depending upon your usage, but also light enough to wear on its own in the spring. Stylish, functional and value for the purchase price.

5 Chao
I use it to hike and for around town. It looks sharp and the proportions fit perfectly. I 'm 5'10 '' and 155 lbs and it 's a great fit. Also warm even though it 's lightweight.

5 Ironbruni
Bought this 2 weeks ago for skiing. Keeps me warm even when the wind chill dips below 0. Very comfortable, very warm. Make sure to test wear at a store. I am 6' 1/170 lbs and the large was way too big for me. Medium fits very well despite my long arms.

5 McLaren Fan in Illinois
I am not a skier but I wanted a jacket that would keep me warm and dry in very cold temperatures and winter precipitation. The day after I bought this I took a long walk along a country road wearing this jacket over a t- shirt with temperatures in the mid- 20s( F) that soon saw precipitation in the form of wind- driven light snow and sleet. I was amazed at the cozy, comfortable feel this jacket provided. I will never second- guess this purchase- love this jacket!

5 Blanka
Good winter and low temp jacket. Its longer and a tad baggy/active since its made for riding, so take your normal size and layer underneath for really cold days. It 's super comfortable and will keep you warm and dry. Hood is definitely a little too Raph, it 's made for riding with a helmet on, so its too big for casual wear but I knew that would be the case for any snowboard jacket so it does n't bother me.

5 Phil
I 've been itching for a cold day ski jacket. This baby is perfect. On the roomy side, super warm, windproof, good style. All the right pockets. Love it. I 'm 5'10 '' 210 pounds and large fits without any restriction and room for a mid layer.

5 Happy Mom
Great Ski Jacket! This was a gift for my son. He loved it and was impressed by the avalanche sensor that is built into the sleeve. The fit was perfect with lots of pockets to stow away belongings as he is skiing.

5 bpdjjrr
This is an amazing jacket. Is very well made and offers combinations of durability and weather- resistance. Mine is over 20 years old

5 douglas
A great jacket. Lots of pockets. Wind and water proof. Great quality. It is a jacket, not a shell so maybe too heavy for some backpackers. I initially purchased a similar jacket from Northface in 1992. It was no longer water proof or resistant. Returned it to TNF and they replaced it with this. Amazing warranty.

5 Dave
Jacket, is beautiful, lost for words. Would I recommend yes. Simple but amazing. Worth every penny in my eyes, light weight but stiff if that makes sense, thank you northface for another great peace

It is a very nice dress, it fits well, the thickness is a little thin but it does not matter, I plan to wear it when the weather is warmer, I recommend this dress.

5 Bryce
great when guiding on glaciers and can withstand a quick storm. fits so nice, soft and stretchy. feels great under harness and the zipper is crisp. no vents but fairly lightweight.

5 Laffreux
I use it as more sturdy wind breaker for multipitch trad climbing. Love the fabric and the elastic cuff that i can pull out of the way when im crack climbing. Its the main reason why i bought this one instead of the Arcteryx gamma.

4 Mathias
Really nice soft shell, super stretchy, the hood is particularly well designed. My main critiques are its fit is a little on the tight and smaller side compared to what i 'm used to from MH, and i wish it had a chest zipper, as I find that quite useful in jackets.

4 Patrick M
Definitely a jacket for specific shoulder season weather: colder, semi- dry days. It 's a warm jacket that sadly does n't have pit zips to let heat out when the hiking/climbing gets going. I had to fully unzip the front and leave it open. Would n't use it as a rain jacket. Could be used as a light snow jacket. I 've been using it as a springtime( and fall) belay jacket and it works great. If you get caught in a drizzle the repellancy works shedding water and wind. Love the soft, stretch fabric that does n't restrict moment and allows me to wear just a t- shirt underneath if need be. Big pockets all with good zippers and it packs into its own pocket. The hand cuffs are interesting and remind me of cycling jackets that are longer on top to keep water off the back your hands. It has stretch band cuff on the underside along wrist. So far i have n't had issue with them, but i worry the elastic will one day no longer be tight and the cuff could be baggy and useless. Maybe they should have stuck with classic Velcro straps to adjust cuff tightness-- only time will tell. Overall i like the jacket as my backup for when i do n't expect bad weather but need something just in case. A great jacket for walking around town too.

Super warm and comfy. Runs just slightly big. I like it that way though. Love mine. Highly recommend

5 ATLJ
Keeps me warm in the 30s easily with just a normal shirt and a sweater. With real layers I have been able to walk approx 30 minutes round trip in the low 20s and strong winds. It ’s very warm and also gives you that psychological warmth boost of a fat, cozy puffer. The length is just right if you need a big outermost layer but don ’ t want a full parka length. I am normally between S and M for most things and a S easily fits me even with a chunky sweater. The two internal mesh pockets are clutch.

5 nando

I bought this at the employee store. The shell feels like it has more texture and feels durable. Those things were obvious. The size is nice and roomy without being too bulky, It fits just right. I ca n't speak of cold winters just yet, but layering this with something under would be enough for me. The color is true to the picture. It has some good pocket verity.( small on the front, regular pockets on the side, and pockets on the inside. This is good jacket overall. Only way they could improve on this jacket is if they went with 700 fill.

5 Erin
Very warm. Fits true to size. So many pockets to choose from.

5 AlexD
Got this jacket today, looks pretty good! Quality is great! I love those side pockets! I 'm going to use it as everyday mild winter down jacket. The only thing: I see it 's mentioned that 6' 1 is size M, but I would consider to choose L. M will fit, but imagine if you will want to put on a sweater under the jacket? It can be really tight.

I recently bought this jacket for the ski season, Great textured fabric and color( caspian)! I expected a big fit from reviews but it ’s just right! Full across the shoulders with room for layers, athletic fit in waist; it ’s definitely not baggy! I ’ m a medium 32 waist 41 chest, it ’s a normal athletic 30- 34 waist fit. There 's a reason you see so many really favorable reviews of this jacket. It checks all the boxes. Packable, super light, blocks the wind, repels mist or light rain and looks great. Pull it out of your kit at a windy summit or the top of a pitch. If you are slim and athletic, it fits true to your usual size. I have a paunchy `` dad bod '', so I had to go up one size for midriff room. You wo n't have to, though. I also have the lined hoody version of this garment, and like it equally for belaying or just spectating at the base of the crag.

5 SmittyNH
Perfect ascent shell to dump heat while breaking wind. I wear this over a 250gram smartwool baselayer while ascending mountains in 25- 45 degree weather.

5 NorthBay
I have been using multiple Kor products for a while and added this one to my closet recently. It has many uses but what I use it for is early morning hikes and rides. It adds just enough warmth over a base layer to reduce the bite of morning chill. The fabric is crazy stretchy and soft, and while I have n't been rough on this one, my insulated Kor Strata is a ski layer I have hammered all season with no issue. This thing is crazy packable too so it makes it easy to shove into a pocket or my lumbar pack.

5 rwyovi
I bought this for a backcountry skiing when it ’s a little wet or windy. I run very hot when touring so I found shells get too swampy. This has totally changed my layering system. I ’ m using it above my base layer and it stays on most of the day. I ’ ll even put it over my micro puffy on the way down on nice days and have been leaving my shell a lot of the time. The hood fits really well under a helmet to keep you warm when needed without being floppy or needing adjusting. It wicks and breaths really well but has enough wind and water resistance to avoid needing to stop and relayer unless it gets more than moderately wet. It weighs nothing and packs down to nothing you can literally put it in your leg pocket if you wanted to. The only downside is it does get smelly pretty fast so needs more washing than most of my other outdoor gear but so far it hasn ’ t lost a lot of water repellency using high quality outdoor detergents. Also great for running.

5 Florida Mane
This thin and light jacket is my favorite piece of clothing right now. It ’s super thin so not hot and also does a good job of taking the edge off of a little cold. It is extremely light and I ’ ve used it as a sun hoodie in temps in the 80 ’s. The fabric and fit are super comfortable. Very functional and very versatile. I actually own two because at first I bought the XL which is great but just slightly too big and then I bought the L which is just right.

5 m_bur
I 'm very happy with this jacket. Got the hooded version because when the wind turns on I appreciate the neck an head covering. I trail run in this, and also climb in it. Love how the cuffs slide up over my forearms for climbing and it packs really light and into its own pocket. When I do warm up, it till breathes, yet offers wind protection.

5 Spike
I picked up one of these in cactus green and right from the start it became a highly valued tool for my cool/cold back country outings. I am very impressed at how well it works to keep me comfortable during high aerobic activities( sustained uphill hiking, snowshoeing, backpacking...). It pulls moisture away as I sweat, keeps me warm up front, moves when I move and does not bind, and the color blends in well with my natural environment! The large fits me well( I am 5'11 '', 215lbs) and the pockets are roomy and meet my needs on trail. I use this piece so often now I wish I had two so I always have a fresh kit ready to hit the trail!

4 maggs
[ Love this jacket. It fills a vital hole that I had in my MTB gear and will be used for hikes for sure. Great lightweight wind and rain block that packs into a small bundle. Found other rain gear was just holding too much moisture and sweat became problematic. But the Kor seems to be the perfect solution. One complaint is that the zipper can be difficult to start. Otherwise, perfect shell for the trails.

It ’s been since 2019 since I ’ ve had a jacket I ’ ve loved this much, happy to have been brought together. Oh, also very tough, and seems to be brought back to looking like new after a month or so of outdoor living.

5 Colby
This is easily one of the best light weight puffy for moderate activity. It handles cold weather exceptionally well for how light it is. The stretch baffling makes movement incredibly natural. I have worn this jacket while bouldering on some colder days and I was impressed by how well it performed. The material is durable and holds up to abuse.

[ Great jacket- it 's lightweight without feeling flimsy. I appreciate the large hood- big enough for my bike helmet.

5 Gabriel Abramoff
[ As an outdoor enthusiast, weight is a critical factor in my gear selection, and the Men 's GORE- TEX® Mitre Peak Waterproof Jacket( 2024) delivers impressively in this regard. This jacket offers exceptional waterproofing and breathability without unnecessary bulk, making it a perfect companion for alpine climbing, hiking, or any technical outdoor activity. One of its standout features is the highly functional pocket design—the spacious, elevated pockets remain accessible even while wearing a harness, which is a game- changer for climbers and mountaineers. The adjustable helmet- compatible hood provides excellent coverage without limiting visibility, ensuring protection against harsh weather. Additionally, the underarm ventilation zippers allow for great airflow, preventing overheating during intense activity. Overall, this jacket balances durability, weather protection, and lightweight performance perfectly. If weight matters to you as much as it does to me, this is an excellent choice!

5 Jeff PDX
Highly breathable jacket with a great athletic fit. Breathes better than any GTX jacket I 've ever had. I bought a second one to keep in my work vehicle I was so impressed by the first one.

5 Rashed Abdullah
[ Marmot has a long history of making high quality outerwear. And this history continues with Mitre peak Jacket. I have been a fan of Marmot since my first jacket( the Alpine Light Jacket) which has been with me for most of my outdoor adventures into the backcountry and high altitude peak. I still remember when the 10, 000 meter parka was the one of the best pieces of equipment a mountaineer could have for protection at very cold, high altitudes. Not sure if they still make that. Back to the review of this jacket. I like the fact that it is does not come with a liner so this makes it more versatile for layer. Not sure of the durability for and longevity as the material is lighter and therefor repeated use with pack straps and harnesses may wear stress areas out as they are not reinforced. I have yet to find rainy enough day where the jacket has not performed. Hopefully this waterproofing with continue over the life time of the jacket. My biggest issue now with the latest products from all makers( Patagonia, The North Face, etc) is the delamination of the gortex material after a few years of use. Hopefully they have resolved this issue. Looking forward to many years of use with this jacket. Check in with me in a few years, I will let you know how this performed

5 Martin

5 Carrie
All around great piece. Skinning up or shredding down this jacket was made for the elements.

Replacing an older TNF Goretex hard shell that held up for a very long time until the zippers failed. First impressions is that the number of pockets and their positioning is exactly the type of thing you did n't know you needed until you have it. Feels light and offers good maneuverability. Just roomy enough that layering with mid layer does n't feel bulky and stuffed. Although the armpit area is a bit snug, I have a Denali fleece so maybe the newer FutureFleece models will fit better. I have high hopes this jacket will hold up for years snowboarding here on our icy slopes. I 'm already liking the tech designed into this jacket.

This jacket exceeded my expectations. This specific Summit Series puffer jacket is a bit more `` puffier '' than other down puffer jackets. It 's very warm and can be worn as a mid layer or by itself.

I have two different versions/years of this jacket. Love the weight to warmth ratio- super light. Very wam and comfortable but, recommend a shell if your adventure will encounter wind.

So far, so good. It 's light and very warm. It packs up small and it 's really comfortable. I just picked it up, so I ca n't speak to durability over time- but if my previous NF purchases are any indication, I 'll be weary this for a decade.

Little big but overall very warm. Size is Xl is definitely roomy for layering up. True size of L, could 've gotten away with a hoody though.

Perfect fit! Super lightweight and surprisingly warm

5 Joe
Lightweight comfortable and warm Great for light coat to run around or under heavier shell when very cold

5 76CLE76
Bought to use layering when backpacking or hiking. Great warmth to weight ratio. Packs down very well. So far have only used it walking the dog on mornings in the high 20s. Worked well for that and so I expect it will perform just as I want it to when backpacking.

5 Simply_Miller
Love the Ghost Whisperer 2. It ’s a thin light weight jacket where I can use on evenings and mornings where there slight crisp in air. I also wear even in warmer temps just because it ’s cozy when wearing just a t- shirt. Definitely, a delicate material to be aware of outdoor surroundings. Only reason why I took off a start is because of the sizing has me in between a MD and L. I am 6 ’ 2 ” 185# and waist 32 ”. Medium is ideal fit, yet shoulders are slightly tight when I cross my arms. This size is better than when wearing Large, tho. Large is too long in sleeves and too blousy. This is my third Whisperer not because they fall apart, but because I like having multiple colors due to wanting to wear it so much. Must have jacket!

[ It ’s a cool jacket, better than I had anticipated, good fit, seems solid

5 Clay S
[ This is a great jacket. It looks and feels bulletproof. It is n't quite as warm as I was expecting, since the insulating liner could be a little heavier, but I knew it was n't a full fill when I ordered it.

5 David Lee
What I most like about this jacket is that it fits me well, yet is roomy enough to layer up for those colder days on the mountain. I returned a more expensive jacket from a competitor because it was a snug, athletic fit and didn ’ t leave enough room for layering. Personally, I don ’ t care about the ability to convert the jacket to a shell, and I would have preferred deep glove pockets inside the jacket instead. But I didn ’ t ding it for that because the jacket is as advertised. Overall it ’s the quality you ’ d expect from Marmot. I have used it on one ski trip already and I am happy with it, particularly at the sale price.

5 WilliTF
Purchased for skiing in the northeast, so needed warmth and flexibility. I believe I found my next favorite jacket. The 3- in- 1 is nice and sized well at XL for a guy who can fit into a L but finds that too tight in the shoulders( after all, you have to keep your arms forward with poles). Great wind protection and comfortable feel, which means room for layering up on cold ski days(< 10 dF). I have not separated the liner yet, so do not have any input on the pieces individually. The Gore- Tex shell is really nice and the line coat is warm in the set. I would recommend it as a warm and relaxed coat for the piste.

5 harrier62
[ Good value at current sale price, but would not have considered this jacket at its regular price. Consider sizing down by one size if you will primarily wear the Gore Tex outer layer alone( without the internal jacket).

happy with this jacket. i used at mt Bachelor for four days. it was cold week but i never got cold, in fact i had to open vents. i 'm 6' 1 '' and its very comfortable fit. hood its true helmet compatible. main zipper sometimes was stubborn but manageable. i would improve the top of inside part of zipper where Gore- Tex material is touching your face/ mouth when hood is over the helmet by putting softer cloth material, maybe even this piece could be removable for often cleaning. overall good jacket.

5 Heliskier
Warm jacket. My last jacket was a medium but this one fits longer so I bought the small. I 'm 5' 7 '' 150lbs athletic build. Overall great jacket!

5 JohnG
I really like this jacket. I took it on a spring snowboard trip and it worked great. The pit zips really helped as the day warmed up. The mapped insulation also works well.

I bought a couple of yrs ago and really impressed in all weathers it is my go to jacket as it keeps me warm in all conditions- if its wet I wear a waterproof light goretex jacket on top- my favourite features are the external chest zip pocket for my phone and the internal stash pockets- I need to get another as sadly with age I need a larger one- could n't recommend more highly( and it feels so light)

5 Adam S
One of my favorite down jackets in my collection. It has great fill and added material in the arms and shoulders for water resistance and toughness. Not as slim and tapered as patagonia but a great fit and true to size. It worked great for a two week trip through Europe in January. This is a great everyday jacket for the winter months!

5 Andrew E
This is great three season jacket on its own it also pairs well as insulation layer under any shell. From wearing in town to sleeping in it this has served me well. The waterproof shoulders is great when setting up camp in light snow or rain and not get soaked through

5 Eric M
used this at work during- 30°f temps with layers and kept me plenty warm. the thicker material on the shoulders protected the jacked from a heavy weighted survey vest and the jacket has held up very well for extended periods outside in the woods, may be a bit warm for vigorous activity but perfect for normal use in cold temps.

5 Brad f
I ’ ve put this jacket through everything and it consistently delivers. The warmth- to- weight ratio is incredible—this thing feels featherlight but traps heat like a much bulkier coat. The Pertex® Diamond Fuse shell is no joke either; I ’ ve brushed up against rock, ice, and gear with zero signs of wear. It packs down small enough to disappear into my pack, yet performs like a serious cold- weather layer. The water resistance isn ’ t meant for a downpour, but it ’s held up well in light snow and mist. Overall it 's perfect for layering, durable for the outdoors, and reliably warm when the temperature drops.

5 Kevin M
This is probably the warmest jacket I ’ ve owned, yet very breathable.

5 Ted A
A very good quality jacket with warm down insulation. It also has the latest version of Pertex shell called Diamond Fuse. Great water resistance.

5 Brian V
I received this jacket in black for Christmas as a gift. It is super warm and windproof with cozy lined pockets and I like the chest pocket for my phone. The fit is comfy, not bulky, and it does not ride up on my long torso, making it a superb layer under waders. It is extremely light and compressible in its own pocket. This thing will keep you nice and toasty on blustery days, without the extra fluff.

[ Needed a replacement to my north face nano puff and this is an upgrade. Perfect to wear on its own or as a midlayer during winter. I also like the flexibility and stretch around the shoulders. It will be my go to puffy when I go backpacking in the high sierra this summer. Hoping it holds up as long or longer than my nf nano.

5 Jcmorrison
[ As far as the jacket goes I love it so far. Great fit. I ’ m 5 ’ 10, 215 pounds very active. I fit in a large perfect. Fits the shoulders and arms well which is where most jackets fail me. Body fits nice but is not too tight. In regards to customer service, I had to exchange for a different size. The customer chat was initially very unhelpful and unpleasant but ended up processing the exchange.

Superb jacket. Bought one in navy initially and have since bought several in different colours. It ’s really versatile, looks great with outdoor gear, jeans or more formal wear and is trusty and hard wearing. Fit is spot on and pockets are useful. Like the hem cord to bunch it up when necessary and the hood protects from the wind. I like the brand as it represents quality but isn ’ t an obvious or common choice. Jackets get lots of positive comments. I haven ’ t waxed any of mine as I imagine it will lose some of its tactile qualities; if I used them for more outdoor/adventurous activities I ’ d be happy to wax.

5 Happyexplorer
Although not all Fjallraven items last a lifetime, this one just might. Elegant enough to take to work and wear as an outer layer over a sweater for a nice dinner. However when it needs to take abuse, it takes that abuse like a champ. Highly recommend it. Other competitors just don ’ t have the same quality to compete with this bad boy.

5 lilcliffy
I am surprised by how much I appreciate this old- school jacket. It is extremely durable; very comfortable and quiet; and has a beautiful timeless design and style. I have been wearing the Skogso as my everyday jacket- and bought this one on sale as a work/barn/farm jacket. I must say that I love it so much I almost hate to only wear it on the farm! That being said it is the best farm coat I have ever had- I use it in every season, with wool/down underneath in the New Brunswick winter. A note on the waterproofness of wax- treated G- 1000- one can greatly increase the waterproofness( and durability) of G- 1000 with wax treatment( and although a bit tedious, if you enjoy looking after/maintaining fine things, it is actually fun!). That being said, no one wold claim it is as waterproof as a modern( and toxic) synthetic waterproof- '' breathable '' material. But, G- 1000 breathes better than any modern synth rain jacket; and( this is rarely mentioned) G- 1000 drys incredibly fast- even while wearing it. For me the pros of G- 1000 greatly outweigh it being less waterproof than a synth jacket. I am not going to the moon- both I and my clothes can dry by the fire; in the sun; or even walking on the trail. This is a superb jacket. Though I have never owned one- this jacket sure looks very close to the Vidda Pro- surely the Vidda Pro is based on this design?

5 CB
After six months of use, I thought it was time to write a review of this jacket. I purchased the Greenland Jacket in the fall, so now after seeing three of the four seasons it 's best suited for, I can say it was an excellent choice for various reasons. First, its durability. It 's functioned well in both heavy rain and snow. I 've had to reapply the wax coating three times( the first attempt was a failure). I would not advise using a hairdryer to melt the wax. It 's both time- consuming and results in an uneven blotchy look. Go with an iron, apply light even layers of wax and you 'll find the outcome far superior. Once I used this method, I was satisfied with the overall outcome. The Greenland Jacket will work very well during the shoulders seasons as well as the wintertime. Second, it 's a great choice for layering during the colder months. I 'm 6' 0 '' 185lbs and a large will fit well as a single layer( jacket only) as well as an outer layer with a down insulation layer under the Greenland. I 've owned( and still own) various shells and this in now my go- to outer layer in the winter months. It provides moisture protection and the features I both wanted and discovered I did n't know I wanted! The four large button pockets are great for storage, easy to access when wearing gloves, and blend well with the overall look. I also found the front two- way zipper to be a great option for venting when heat dumping becomes necessary. The only small complaint is the zipper can sometimes be difficult to start, but nothing that would make me reconsider this product. Lastly, it 's a stylish timeless look. There 's a reason this design has been around for decades, its functionality as well as the timeless look. So in terms of both function and style, this is near the top of any choice out there. After buying the Greenland and now six months in, I can say it was a great choice and I think most anyone would agree.

5 Tdog
Does what I hoped, goes on easily over wool or fleece. It ’s tough enough to repel bramble, roses etc but fits comfortably. Very practical outdoor jacket then.

I am 5 ’ 9 ” at 175lbs with an average build. The medium is not too loose and feels great!! The sleeves are tad long but not bad at all. I had the zipper catch a couple times over a past couple days, but that ’s me rushing. The cut works very well with my height. The only thing that bothers me is the jacket pitches a tent by the stitching in the midsection of the jacket when you sit down.
