All the padding is in the perfect places, including in each knuckle of each finger, and there are touchscreen pads on the thumb and forefinger. I lift weights a few days a week. Wearing gloves to protect the ligaments is a good idea. After some time without using gloves I will feel some pain in the fingers. I normally use gloves with the half finger which works great. I bought these full finger gloves to see how I liked them. After a few workouts they fit well and I think they prevent any damage to the ligaments. These are good gloves but I still prefer the half finger gloves because I still have more feeling and control of the fingers.

I was told I could use baseball batting gloves too, but I wanted something more fitness oriented. The fingertip `` swipe pads '' I thought were a joke, until i actually used them.
