Great boot! I have been wanting a pair of these for a long, long time and I am not disappointed. I still need to break in some but they are getting there. Great leather and all USA made which is important to me. Thank you Red Wing for keep the American quality there and making us all very proud. I would like to add that I have been a Red Wing customer for four decades.

Picked a pair of Iron Rangers up at the West Chester, Ohio store. The craftsmanship, comfort and style makes this far and away the finest pair of boots I have ever owned. Also, the fact that they are made entirely here in the USA is extremely important to me personally. I 'm proud to be a Red Wing wearer!

This is my third pair Iron Rangers, and I must say this color is the best. Goes well with khakis or jeans. Highly recommend this boot.

This is my 2nd pair& absolutely love these boots. After the break in period, they fit perfect and are extremely comfortable. Had the soles switched out as for my job, the vibram lugs perform much better. Honey soles may not be for everyone but I ’ m Loving this color combo! Redwing… please make lugs an option!!

I bought these 4 months ago. The break in process was miserable and super painful. I am a high school teacher I wear these 12 hours( or more) a day. They are extremely comfortable to stand in all day they feel like they are still breaking in. Extremely satisfied with these boots though there do run extremely big. I went a whole size down and I went with wide. I think I could have went a size and half down.

What an awesome pair of true American work wear that makes you earn your comfort as vs slide em on and go. Personally I love the breakin process as it makes the owner earn hes or hers fit and once broken in your good to go. Im for sure getting a black pair next and lastly, the sizing was extremely simple go down a half size from your reg size aget the d width. There 's also a ee width which is only something the guys with a wide foot need. Highly recommend 👌!!

The leather smells of quality. The style is second to none and they just look good. However, there 's a break in period but for me it took several months to conform to my legs. I recommend wearing quality socks above the ankle. I plan to keep these for a long time... may have to have them resole in a year or two

I love everything about Red Wing moc toes—especially the 1907. However, I would be ecstatic if you would bring back the 8883! Please, please, please do this!!

Was careful to get my foot measured and to buy the right size. Wear merino wool socks. No issues breaking in. May decide to put top two eyelets as speed hooks for easier on and off. My iron rangers are easier.

I bought these boots specifically for motorcycle riding. Not only are they comfortable and supportive riding boots, they also are stylish as heck and I get compliments every single time I wear them. And, I can hop off the bike for quick walks and hikes when visiting far off areas and they are light enough as to not be cumbersome.

Keep up the good work! I have worn enormous amounts of shoes under my career and I believe I have something to compare with. Red Wing are amazing. Just imply military discount of 10- 20% and I presume you ’ ll be getting so many more customers. I wear a 9 D( regular width) in Iron Ranger. I wear a 9. 5 EE( wide) in Classic Moc. As others have mentioned, because the Moc runs narrow, I ’ d prefer more colors in the EE or change the style to make for a wider toe box. Love both shoes, but they fit differently.

I was wearing these when i fractured my ankle 2 weeks ago and they were literally the only thing giving me support ti the hospital. I bought a pair of these last fall, and they ’ ve quickly become some of my favorite boots. I was expecting a significant break- in period, but they truly had out- of- the- box comfort. The leather is supple, the soles are forgiving and the elastic hugs the ankle perfectly. Overall, a very well- made, good- looking boot that I ’ m always happy to slip on.

These run about half a size to big. Took 2 weeks to break in, but now are so comfortable.

I could't find these boots at any retail outlet close by my home. I took a chance and bought them on line. I know my Iron ranger size and my 1907 size so I took a chance and purchased the same size as my Iron Rangers. Initially, I almost sent them back. They were very difficult to take off and to put on and they were stiff as heck.... That was almost 3 months ago. Today they are soft and comfortable and much easier going on and coming off. I 'm so glad I stuck with them!
5
Ernie69
Got these as an early Christmas gift from my parents. They were a little snug at first( as they should be for anyone buying online) but after a long day of use they were super comfortable. I have some experience with Red Wings, I own the Iron Ranger and the Classis Moc. Out of those 3 the Classic Chelsea has been the easiest to break- in. The build quality is good.

I have been looking for a replacement for a LONG time for my favorite pair of mid height chukka boots. I finally found what I was looking for! When I travel for work I need something versatile that I can dress up or down. They 're very comfortable and are a nice do it all thing. I did not have any issues with break in but I have worn a lot of footwear with a `` break in period '' so my feet may just be used to it. I would love to see some other colorways in this style, I 'd gladly buy another.

My Blacksmiths are about 3 years old. I broke them in by walking 5. 8 miles afterwork on the boardwalk in Ocean City in the dead of winter, my walking club would laugh at me, and I ’ d be a liar if I said it wasn ’ t tough.. It was the best break I ’ ve ever pulled off, I wear ‘ em with no socks all the time these bad boys are like gloves on my feet.. The only treatment I ever do is some Hubbards Shoe Grease if I remember, I just smear it all over the seams, just in case… I was stomping around in puddles just the other day thinking about what a great product RedWing makes, I have boots from the other ‘ big ’ brands, my# 8 Last Blacksmiths are my goto, if I can ’ t wear FlipFlops, Love ‘ em, they are Super Dope!

I have had my Blacksmiths for about 9 months now a minimal break end phase is well over. I decided to give my boots a boost in flavor by adding Rose Anvil Kilties. I was able to find every color assortment that RW offers in Rose Anvil 's extensive selection of Kilties. The Kilties gave my boots a bit more flavor than expected.

I expected a break- in period but these blacksmiths were comfortable out of the box. Soft but supportive and the fit was perfect for me. No chafing, roomy but not loose. The traction was good even in wet weather. And they are fine to wear even during hot and humid days where I live. Chose the copper rough and tough because I think the look is so classic and understated. Love the versatility as well. Can use them with just about every pair of pants and( even shorts) in my closet. I wear them almost everyday and feel they ’ ll stand up to all the walking I do. Well worth the price and looking forward to picking up more Red Wing boots down the line.

Just bought these and very comfortable out of the box. Went up a little from my usual size in Red Wing( 10. 5) to 11. If these were suede, definitely would have stayed with 10. 5. Nice fit and finish. The toe looks more bulbous in photos than in person.

I had my doubts about the new ReBOTL fabric lining being comfortable and durable. However I must say that the new lining material is very comfortable and seems to be durable as well. Nice boots. I always order a wide in a cowboy boot and have several pairs of Rebels in wide. These are WIDE and the toe area is really, really tall. Like wiggle your toes and not touch the top tall. I am not sure why these fit so much different than all my other Rebels but they do. To solution, I added another insole on top of the non- removable insole already in the boot( this was also a first as all my other Rebels have a removable insole). I am still happy with them, but they certainly fit different. Additionally, they are substantially darker brown than the pictures would indicate. I hope this helps someone!

I bought these in December 2024. They ’ ve sat because I was stuck between the 9D and 9. 5D. I ordered both. I ’ m normally a 9. 5 in just about everything. Vans, Nikes, Thorogoods, you name it. The 9. 5s had a little bit of heel slip and plenty of toe room, and I was afraid of them feeling too comfortable straight out of the box and them stretching too much. Because that ’s honestly what they felt like at first. The 9ds felt tight. Very little heel slip, but doable, but ultimately tight… I decided to go with the pair that felt the most comfortable straight out of the box, the 9. 5s. Again, I was skeptical, but they turned out PERFECT. They are comfortable straight out of the box, and after just a day of wearing, I ’ m already noticing them molding to my feet and the heel slip vanishing, and turns out they were not too big at all, they were ABSOLUTELY perfect. So my recommendation with this particular pair of Durangos, go with your true to size. Even if they feel slightly loose at first, they will mold to your foot and the slip in heel will begin to go away as you wear them in. This is by far, THE MOST comfortable pair of cowboy boots I ’ ve ever owned. Ever. I absolutely love them. I do everything in these from yard work, going out and about, motorcycle riding, etc. these are awesome.

I purchased the Rebel Pro Lite Coyote Brown boots a few days ago to replace style number DDB0264 because the stitching inside was scratching the hide off my leg. The Rebel Pro Lites are much more comfortable and already feel broken in. They arrived a little darker in tone than the picture shows on the computer screen, not a deal breaker at all.

The single possible improvement I made- and that's on me because we have 4 months of winter here- is to replace the soles; the originals are quite tricky on frozen

All I can say I found out my new place get my footwear. I never wasted my time nor gas going to different stores no more. I super great I went this route. I was little worried about getting the size I needed. But there true on size. I 'm very happy and will do business again. Thank you

I bought mine almost 3 years ago and they 're the most comfortable and useful footwear I 've ever owned. I wear them 95% of the time, on daily 2+- 4 km dog walks, outdoors, year- round and they 're at their peak look and feel. The single possible improvement I made- and that 's on me because we have 4 months of winter here- is to replace the soles; the originals are quite tricky on frozen ground. Or a great workout, just watch your head yeah? I chose Vibram, a quick fix and better suited for that.

I am an Appraiser where I have to go into houses almost daily. Borrowers and Realtors request I take my boots off, and these work wonders. No tying of laces, excellent fit, great wear through time, and always comfortable. I love Rocky boots.

[ I wear a size 11 shoe and bought 12. With a 4 mm wader booty and a medium thickness sock they fit perfectly. I just spent 7 days fishing, waddling and going through mucks and swamp getting to the creeks and streams. The Boa system works well. My heel stayed planted in the heel cup. The soles stayed put. These are my 7th pair of boots and are the most comfortable. Plenty of room in the toe box. I could wear these all day.

I bought my boots from the retail store. Salesman recommended that o went a full size smaller than my normal size and we confirmed via the thermal imaging in the store. I ’ ve worn these almost everyday for the past 6mos. However, I will say the break in period is serious, but I wasn ’ t expecting anything different from such a solid boot.

As I had 6 pairs of RW, I love 1907 the most because I feel it looks cool and very comfortable. Last but not least, its patina is very challenging every day. ❤️❤️❤️

I listened to the advice of friends that said the break- in period was worth the end result, and they were right. For the first couple of weeks after wearing them all day my heels would hurt, but since I wore them everyday and broke them in as quickly as I could they are the most comfortable boots I 've ever had.

Bought 1907 ’s about 3 weeks ago. Break in is no joke. Wear them around or house or short trips to town for the first week. After the first week they started feeling better and now 3 weeks in I ’ m wearing them everyday. Feel great. The copper rough and tough was great visually for me, but they ’ re actually tough too. I ’ ve already accidentally scuffed them a few times, and it sort of just blends in with character. Don ’ t recommend them for marathons or hiking, but for normal daily work or just casual wear, I highly recommend. Sizing- get whatever feels snug, not tight enough to make your toes go numb. I ’ m almost just over 10. 5 on the Brannock. I got a 10 at the recommendation from the store. Should ’ ve done a 10. 5. The 10 ’s work but I prefer a looser fit. Will do a 10. 5 next time- yes I like them enough I ’ ll get another pair eventually to baby for only weekend wear.

I got a pair of these three years ago, and my relationship with them got off to a rough start. Full disclosure, I ’ ve recently come to realize my feet are unusually shaped — with protruding heals. That didn ’ t bode well for wearing these boots out of the box. They have triple- layered heals, which are quite rigid and caused me many blisters. Because of the blistering, I wore these seldomly and broke them in very slowly. Over time, however, they molded to my feet, and the heal area stretched out to accommodate my knobby heals. They ’ re now my favorite footwear, and truly a pleasure to wear. Was it worth all the pain? Considering I ’ ll have these boots for many years — if not decades — I say yes. The same tough leather and heavy- duty construction that made these so hard to break in will also make them last forever. In this day and age of cheap, mass- produced goods, it ’s nice to commit to something for the long- haul — even if it requires some sacrifice initially. I ’ m excited to keep wearing these boots, have them further mold to my feet, and keep adding patina to them.
