The best daily trainer I ’ ve ever ran in. It ’s so light and snappy. It makes running effortless. It shines in faster paces, but is still comfortable and stable at slower paces as well. I usually get some joint issues going longer distances, but the foam soaks up all of the shock while still feeling firm and responsive. On top of that, it seems to be very durable. Great every day running shoe. Not built for racing but absolute cruiser that will take care of your legs. The dual layer foam setup is soft but stable while being very smooth. Not a lot of bounce but a lot of roll with a perfectly placed rocker. I believe the magic is in the rocker position and grade combined with the midsole setup. I was consumed with the Nova and Superblast so I didn ’ t try the first version. Probably a good thing. I ’ m surprised by just how much I like this shoe. Soft and responsive. Good traction. Tough sole with rock guard. Only complaint is I wish Brooks would sell a high top version for hiking. I wear Brooks Ghost Max and those are about near perfect for a running shoe. The Caldera 8 has close to the same feel and just slightly less cushion. Which is what is needed when trail hiking or running. I would love to see a Max version of this shoe for better trail running platform and a High top version for my long hikes where I need ankle support

I have been a long time Hoka Stinson wearer for hiking but the soles do n't hold up well for Grand Canyon and slick rock hiking. I decided to try the Olympus 6 's and have been very pleased. The Vibram soles are grippy and durable with the same plush cushioning that I enjoyed with the Hokas. The Olympus runs about 1/2 smaller than the Hokas which caused the hassle of sending back a pair. There was a break in period for the cushioned heel but felt much better after a week. I 'm wearing them for a rim to rim later this month and if they do well with that, I 'm hooked.

I 'm an Altra purist and have been for 3 or 4 years. I have road and trail styles, but with the Olympus 6, Altra just outdid themselves. I purchased these for trail running on small gravel/dirt trails around the beach trails in the hills of the SoCal coast. Nothing technical, just a good sturdy and grippy shoe. The structure and protection level in the Olympus 6 is perfect- the toe has protection and the edge and bite of the sole works great. I was also looking for cushion and I would say the cushion is cloud- like. The reduction in fatigue from long runs is really noticed. The shoe is sturdy, but the comfort is level 10. By far my favorite 10+ miler trail shoe I 've ever worn. I have to order another pair as these quickly became my dailies. I work in film production and I have lived in these since I purchased them. And not that I care, but I 've gotten more compliments and asks about these shoes! The best- I ca n't say it enough.

Surprisingly good running shoe. I ’ ve seen the Noosa Tri around for many years, always wild colors and patterns, always eye catching. I was always happy with whatever I was running in at the time and always thought…maybe next time. Well, next time finally came and I decided to give the Noosa Tri 16 a shot. Let ’s start with the fit…they ’ re a little on the snug side, I wear an 11 in everything and usually that works out just fine. The Noosa 16 fit more like a 10& 3/4 than an 11. Nonetheless they ’ ve become my brick workout shoes with no socks and I ’ m really happy with them in that capacity. These shoes excel at every distance I ’ ve tried them at from a short speed workout to a 13- 14mi easy pace day. They feel great for my midfoot strike, roll off the toe really nicely and the foam is amazingly smooth, soft, bouncy and comfortable. The upper breathes well and like I mentioned, 80% of my miles in these are barefoot and the liner of the shoe is soft, smooth and very comfortable.
